This is not a review of those two practices, but rather this review is relative to the 7th Avenue Famiy Practice at the same location. All 3 are within the MMIC health care systems. I have been a patient at this practice for several years, my doc there is Dr Smarik and I have also been treated by Jenna Snyder the Nurse Practitioner. I have had really good care through this office and i feel that Dr. Smarik is an excellent physician and i trust her judgement. And the rest of the providers here are all just as good. This office operates like a well oiled machine right down to the front office staff who greet you and make appointments. The right hand always seems to be coordinating with the left, which is a comfort. Also they are very good about same and next day appointments when you are sick and they send your prescriptions electronically to your pharmacy which saves you even more time and effort. Overall I would highly recommend the 7th Avenue Family Health Practice if you are looking for quality Primary Care. My experience has been very good here.

I was denied insurance through my boyfriend's company because they don't recognize domestic partners the day after I had impaled my thumb on a palm frond. Unsure if I had insurance I decided to go to the county urgent care. They charged a $50 deposit and will be sending the bill within a month. When they gave me a two hour ETA for the wait time I ran over and had some lunch at a local Mexican restaurant. Upon my return, I had about another 30 minutes or so but they really did keep it to that two hour window. Once in the back under doctors care he carefully explored inside my thumb to make sure that there was no foreign debris still in there. Once he was done the nurse came and slapped a Band-Aid on it and I was out the door. Thank you to the doctors and staff at county urgent care!

Dr Natasha takes the time to answer questions and address concerns. She is kind and has a sense of humor. The lab is amazing. The phlebotomist does the most painless blood draws I've ever experienced and results come back quickly. Dr Natasha also explains lab results through the messaging app which is much faster and more pleasant than other offices that take a "no news is good news approach." Also, the app is great. I've used it a couple of times and it has saved me some visits to urgent care.

We have only been going to Dr. Wooten for less than a year as my sons primary care pediatrician,…read moreand all seemed great at first. Meeting Dr. Wooten was initially pleasing. He was kind and attentive to our son and to our needs as parents. On my sons last annual we scheduled an appt. for 1:30pm (after their lunch break) and when we arrived no one was there to answer the door for about 5-10 min. When someone finally came, we waited another 15-20 in an empty office until he was seen. Being that this was not the norm, it didn't bother me at the time, so I just took note of the situation and let it go. Fast forward to today, I had to reschedule his pre-existing morning appt. from 8:30 am to 10:15 am. When my husband arrived with our son, they were already behind with patients. At 11:17, my husband informed me that my son and himself were in the room but still had not been seen. I called the front desk to ask if there was an issue being that we did have an appt, and that we had other time sensitive things to do. I work in a medical office in patient relations, so I am aware that it can get hectic. When I spoke to the secretary, instead of listening to my concern, she had a very petty attitude and informed me that because I had rescheduled, my son was considered a "work-in" appt., and that there were only two of them to handle the patients and it was a week before school ends. I explained that this was not disclosed to me when re-scheduling, and that it would be helpful in the future, staff should make patients aware that there is a wait. If I would have known, I would have rescheduled for another day. She snapped back by telling me that she's sorry that I feel that way and they just do what Dr. Wooten tells them. After my child was finally seen, Dr. Wooten called me back personally, and basically scolded and patronized me for holding his secretary accountable for her attitude. He also questioned my credentials as another medical professional (which isn't his business) and told me that my husband didn't have an issue with the office, like I was just some overly excitable mother. However, my husband was the whole reason I called the office, since he was equally frustrated but didn't want to make a scene in the office. Dr. Wooten interrupted me from the moment he got on the phone and wouldn't let me get a sentenced finished. So I responded in kind so that I could be heard as a concerned mother of his patient, and he hung up in my face. I called back 10 min later to get info on how to transfer care of my child to another, more professional establishment. After getting the information I needed, I added that never in all my years as a medical professional have I had or seen a provider call to argue with a patient, let alone a minor patients parent and handle the situation like Dr. Wooten did. I received a call from his office 5 min after that, but didn't pick up since I did not feel like being talked to like a child. Especially by a grown man/doctor that hung up in my face. I know it was him, because if it was his office with information or otherwise, they would have left a message. Never will my child go back here. Super unprofessional and petty staff, which is a shame.

I have been a patient of Dr. Dedinsky for almost 25 years of my life. I came upon his name from my…read moremom when I was searching for a family doctor to see on a regular basis. It's strange in a sense, since Dr. Dedinsky prior to opening up his own practice was an understudy to my moms doctor. My mom loved her doctor and somehow knew that if Dr. Dedinsky learned from her doctor, that this doctor would be just as good. After he opened up his own medical office he started taking care of my father. I started seeing him not too long after. Since my first initial visit, the fact that he was taking very good care of my father, I realize that my mom was right about telling me to go see him. In my lifetime I have been fortunate to have had two other really good doctors. Those two are long gone and they were great in a sense that they took the time to listen to you, as does Dr. Dedinsky. I really don't know why I am writing to tell you this story, other than maybe as one gets older, one stops to realize that people come upon your life to have a positive impact on you. This doctor does what he does because of my mom's doctor. Wants to listen to you, and has concern for your well being. I have been fortunate throughout my whole life, and no one knows it more than I do. I hope that when someone walks into your life that you take that moment in time to embrace it. We all get many chances in our lifetime, hope that you will see that those chances are right in front of you. He has been a very good doctor for me.
