This is one of the spots tourists stop at. I guess. It's just a big rock and I still didn't learn who Willy is! When it's low tide, you can walk around it. Normally, you have to walk in the water to get over to it. It has a statue of the Virgin Mary and that's it.
The cool thing about it is that it is a volcanic rock formation. I did hear someone talking about how it is believed to be 1,000 years old.
There's no signage or anything on the history so unless you look it up or overhear someone talking, it's just a rock. If you're out walking along the beach... sure, stop. Take a photo. If you're staying on the other side of the island, it's easily skippable. read more
