Established in 1979.
Since Dr Middleton started the clinic in 1979, the Wilmslow Chiropractic Clinic has gained an excellent and enviable reputation for accurate diagnosis and fast effective treatment.
Chiropractors Drs Scott Middleton, Gowan Robinson, Lindsay Beardsworth and Patrick Langham have over 100 years combined experience and have treated well over 100,000 patients... many referred from GP's, orthopaedic or neurosurgeons, physiotherapists or personal trainers.
Scott is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, a Fellow of the Royal College of Chiropractic; a Fellow of the British Chiropractic Association and a Medical Expert for the Court. He has been a guest on This Morning and Granada reports; a 'medical expert' on GMR and BBC North West for many years; and frequently travelled to Europe, the Middle East, and the US to either run clinics or advise individual patients.
Meet the Business Owner: Scott M.
Scott Middleton graduated as a chiropractor in 1977 after initially studying for a BSc Hons in Biology and Physics. During his three years of post-graduate work specialising in orthopaedics, neurology, rheumatology, sports injuries and paediatrics he started the Wilmslow Chiropractic Clinic. Within two years the new style of practice involving accurate diagnosis and fast effective treatment had proved so popular that Dr Gowan Robinson, the first of twenty-seven associate colleagues, was asked to join the busy clinic. Gowan is still there, four decades later...!
In 1984 Scott and GP Dr Adrian Hart started the first joint medical and chiropractic clinic in Britain. In the early 1990's, Scott became the first NHS chiropractor and for fifteen years he was the only NHS chiropractor in Britain. He has been a member of NHS committees helping to design new initiatives and protocols until semi-retiring and working almost exclusively privately, working just 25-hrs per week.
