I have real estate and stock and 401K and 1031 exchanges. You don't want to be using an online or do it yourself tax return program if you have a portfolio of diversified investments. On a recent transaction I was able to use them to help me with a 1031 exchange and they helped me find new higher return investments for the exchange money in less than the 45 day deadline for reinvesting funds. There may be cheaper companies out there but more important to me than having the cheapest accountant is a company that can reduce my taxes and keep me out of trouble. I trust them and have confidence they are doing the right thing. On top of that, the people I work with, Steve, Jim and Nick, are really nice guys.

They also sat on her taxes to charge her almost $900 in extension fees. Also charged her $500 to remove a dependent. We can't believe the number of charges, 3 extension fees and other insane charges!! Nick also sent us an email stating that they would charge us a monthly late fee if we didn't pay by the end of this month. Fortunately, I searched Yelp and decided on Dimov Tax Specialists who took care of my complex filing which included multi-state filing and real estate taxes. Dimov shared the costs upfront and they were very responsive. I plan to use them going forward. In addition, their invoice was a little over $1K versus the $3250 invoice we received from Ghirardo. Just to be clear, my fiancé and I needed the same tax services.

Worst customer service ever…read more Jennifer accepted the case on Feb 25th and again on March 1st through phone and email, then telling us she doesn't have time, 10 days before the submission deadline Phone conversation: Feb 25, she accepted the case and sent the secure link which initially didn't work and after back and forth, link sent on Feb 28 We uploaded all docs on March 3rd. No response to 4 follow up emails and 4 phone calls after that until March 25th. Finally quote came on March 25th. I Accepted on April 1st. No response again until I called them and asked for the status. on April 5th she emailed me that: "They normally don't accept clients in March and now we need to file extension because she doesn't have time" She was blaming us for answering to the quote email late!!! I couldn't believe what I saw in the email. I will add all the email screenshots to this review if this company is accusing me of providing inaccurate info.

But... They flaked about 15 minutes before the scheduled time, then 5 min later I got a friendly text reminder not to miss the appointment, which was a nice touch. I had to laugh at that, at least. The Dude's time is far more valuable than yours. You will find out minutes before your "scheduled" appt when Siri drops you a line.
