Five years since Todd installed my 10 KW solar. Absolutely no problems in five years. Saving about $100-125 per month average on electricity. He also installed a 25 KW back up generator a few years later and that too is running just perfect. Came in handy a couple of times when power went out, even was able to supply water to my neighbor!! Wilson Electric started a residential job for us during the fall/winter of 2022/2023. Todd Wilson stated that after the ground thawed, they would be back in the spring to bury the electrical wires running from the house to the shop and to the submersible pump from the cistern. In April of 2023 I received an invoice and the last line stated "Wrap up project" $$$. I paid the invoice in full trusting they would be out soon to do just that. April went by, they did not show. My girlfriend and I tried to contact contact Wilson Electric. On May 6th 2023 they stated "they had received our calls but were extremely busy and it would be a couple weeks before they could get out to finish up". Three weeks later my girlfriend texted them again because it is holding up our other projects. On May 27th she texted again and we get back; "You are inline. Or we won't be offended, call someone else who has nothing to do". Again, we paid him in full. We asked for money back for work not completed. Todd stated, "I never charged for any work not completed". Attached are pictures of uncompleted work that we were charged for. So now he tells my girlfriend quote "I recommend at this point since you have become ASSERTIVE, going elsewhere". He has not contacted us since. I am not sure what he means, unless he is intimidated by assertive women? Does he prefer timid and submissive? Wow!!! Where do I begin? Super super individuals to deal with and talk with. A fantastic, and I mean FANTASTIC PRICE! cross that with paying attention to detail and very thorough job, proper permits, codes, etc, you have what I feel could be the best electrician in this area, and I've used several Todd is the owner and is the friendliest happy go lucky down to earth person along with his wife who is exactly the same way and a great hand herself . They also love animals and while we were gone while we had no power, she was letting the dogs in and out ,giving them and the cats attention lol!!! They basically rewired my entire house including wire coming to the house, new fuse panel etc. I just can't say enough good about Wilson electric thank you so much !! read more

Mixed feelings about these guys. I asked them to install the EMP shield surge protector in my home. So the electrician came in and started working. Once the installation was done, there was some smell of the electric device or a burnt wire. The guy said that something was wrong and looks like the doorbell transformer (I have a wired doorbell, which is a must have device due to my sensitivity to emitted radio radiation). Well, the electrician tried to find the root of the problem, and replaced a couple of transformers and bells, but it didn't help. As I think, the wire just has burnt somewhere inside after the short, besides the transformer, but I might be wrong. So now I don't have my doorbell working anymore, but my home is protected from lightning, having a short during the installation process. If anybody knows somebody, who can help to install a new wired doorbell - I would so appreciate it. Thanks. read more

My husband and I arrived in Hot Springs SD with our 6 day old 5th Wheel. We set up at our camp site only to discover we had no power. This was mid afternoon on a Sunday. After exhausting our options we contacted Wilson Electric. Thank God! He was responsive...professional and clearly very competent. We were hoping he could bypass what was the problem but instead...he discovered the source if the issue... repaired it...all within about 20 minutes. We were back in business and had no further issues from there all the way back to Tucson Arizona. He truly saved the day....and our trip. 25 KW GENERATOR. I have a lot of electrical load and previously has solar panels installed. Due to the cost of batteries, I did not get any but that means when the main power goes off the solar goes off too. After a year I looked at batteries again and they are still too expensive to be practical considering my electrical load. I called Todd to get a generator. First: some generators require WiFi to set up and monitor. Great is you have it or can get a signal but if you are real rural it will not work. I went with a Briggs and Stratton 25 KW propane generator that really is a stand alone unit. Second, the solar was an issue. Generators do not put out a super consistent flow so could damage the solar inverter. Also if the solar is putting out more power than I am using there is no place to dump the extra power. The best approach is to have it shut down when the generator cuts in. That requires a simple set of relays but a complicated pattern of wires. Todd had it all planned out ahead of time and did not have to stop work to run to town to get parts. All done, flipped off the main power, generator kicked on, shut off the solar and then came online with power. No problems at all. I now recommend Todd for solar and standby generators. read more

We had problems with the electrical system in the garage, and even though it was 7:30 at night they returned my call immediately and they were at our house within 30 minutes. They diagnosed The problem and fixed promptly. Great people, great company , and awesome service. This will be our electrical provider from now on. read more
