The current Yelp! rating is not indicative of the service or experience here. It seems everyone…read morerating poorly are angry they weren't allowed to bring in outside food. Maybe because I went to a matinee on a weekday, I wasn't searched. But I also brought a very small, clear bag that showed I was only carrying the bare essentials. The ticket prices (I saw two movies) are the lowest I've seen, around 12 bucks. I realize they are more expensive for evening shows, but this is still beyond reasonable. The theaters are large and the recliners are comfy. They have stadium seating and some theaters have partitions. They have swivel tables for food. In the beginning of the show, if you order at the concession stand, they'll bring your food to you. I had a couple of their drinks (yes, you can have cocktails while you watch). They are sugary and nothing spectacular, but that's okay. It's a theater staffed by high school and college aged students, not cocktail connoisseurs. I was hungry between movies, so I had some of their cheese fries. Again, okay. The fries themselves were hot and well seasoned, but I could have done without all the nacho cheese and ranch dressing (I realize that's the appeal for some people). For a large plate of cheese fries and a double shot drink, I paid about 38 bucks. Honestly, that isn't crazy to me given what I ordered. They also have popcorn, pretzels (which is what I wanted, but they were unable to make them that day), hotdogs, pizza, burgers. They also have places to sit in the lobby as well as a small table you can park at to eat. Everyone on staff was super nice and helpful. Some of them were very conversational about the films playing. The auditoriums were clean, as were the bathrooms. I am pleased with my experience here and think this was just the first of many matinees in my future.

This is the theater I go to the most, because I love the seating options. I have airborne nut…read moreallergies and the last row only having between 2 and 4 seats depending on the theater set up really helps me to navigate this and avoid people eating my allergens nearby. The seats are comfy and the actual theaters are clean, but the bathrooms are always really dirty and often out of TP. I went to see the first Wicked and I noticed 3 stalls had broken locks and a sink was broken. I went to see the second Wicked and the same 3 stalls locks were still broken + a few more and the sink was still not working... and this was a full year later. I also wish that AMC offered a small popcorn, the regular is still just so big. A regular popcorn and a slurpee will cost you around $20 - which is also wild. Overall this theater has potential, but they just need to do some maintain and some cleaning. Also, if their corporate office would allow a smaller popcorn size it would also be great!

By far worst movie experience in years from start to finish. We saw Michael on Friday, May 1, 2026…read moreat 1:00. Hard time getting tickets online in advance. Entering the theatre, the staff was uniformed, not helpful with knowledge of the theatre showings. We sat in the wrong one for 10 minutes. The popcorn was stale. Drinks (wine) way over priced. My seat did not function properly so I had to switch it. Surprising all of that was not the worst part. We waited an hour for the main feature to begin. An hour from the stated start time of the movie! What a waste. By the time we got out, it was almost dinner time. Eventhough this theatre is 10 minutes from where I live, I'm not going back anytime soon.

A hidden gem tucked away outside of Lebanon TN. This place had two different screens with something…read morefor the adults and something for the kids. The concessions were tasty with a wide variety of foods. No need to eat beforehand when you have burgers, pizzas, funnel cakes, popcorn, candy, and more! I love this place and want to keep coming back, but a little more kindness from the staff and…read moreshorter concession lines would make the experience much better for everyone. Our story: Drove an hour to see a specific film, only to be told it was sold out--even though there was no mention on the website. When we asked if there was any flexibility (since there were clearly open spots and the film had already started), the staff was rude and unsympathetic. We also asked to switch sides for the second film and were told we'd have to pay another $30 for the whole group. I get having policies, but there's a better way to communicate them with kindness. We'd had a tough day already, but the cold reception made it worse. For future reference, please update your website when a movie sells out--it saves everyone frustration. Also, why does it matter which film we watch if we're paying for two? If switching films is against policy, just explain it kindly. We even tried parking in the back to watch the other movie, only to be rudely told to move. How were we supposed to know where to park when there's no clear signage? If I were running this, I'd handle it with empathy. Something like, 'I'm sorry, we're sold out, but here's an alternative option.' Basic kindness goes a long way, especially when people come to your venue to escape tough days. Finally, the concession line is consistently a mess. We waited an hour for popcorn last time and still missed part of our movie. This time, it took the entire intermission, plus 5 minutes of the film to get fries. Hire more staff or figure out a better system. They also charge to bring your own food and then interrupt the credits to spend several minutes advertising concessions, yet the lines are still slow even during intermission. The long radio reminder to buy snacks felt excessive. Please let us enjoy the credit scenes without interruption! We will buy food if the lines aren't so long. One idea for faster food service : at my hometown drive-in theater in Cali, they used a quick, self-serve setup--grab your nachos, hot dogs and started adding the condiments, while you wait in line to pay and ask for any popcorn, or drinks. You can start grabbing pre-ready snacks as you got through the line. It took 2 min or up to 10, on busy days. It's great to offer unique items like funnel cake, but they slow down service. Consider speeding up basics like popcorn and hot dogs, or at least let customers know certain items, like funnel cake, take longer while popcorn is ready right away. Please do better. You're one of the last drive-ins left--people count on you for a good experience.

I love this theater! The thing that sets it apart from other theaters is that it is very much like…read morean old-fashioned movie theater. It is in fact old. it is downtown on the main street in the old part of town. It still has a classy name like theaters had in the old days, complete with neon signage to that effect. For those of us of a certain age it's nostalgic, especially for those of us who grew up in a small town. Princeton has done a good job of preserving its bucolic small town charm, and the theater fits into that very well. I don't even live in Princeton, yet for me it's a taste of heaven when I can occasionally visit and walk the downtown and see a movie at the Capitol. And the refreshments are much more reasonably priced as compared to fancier theaters in bigger cities. I usually buy something even if I'm not that hungry, just to help support the theater. I'd never do that in some big-city multiplex! To be fair, there are some things that could stand improvement. The theater overall is in pretty good condition. But a few of the seats have seen their better days. I've always been pleased with the picture quality, but the sound needs some work. Some times it hasn't been as clear or as loud as I'd like it to be. Sometimes I've watched a movie and during quieter scenes I could overhear the sound of another movie that was having a loud scene ( and I tend to like movies that have many quiet scenes). But I can be patient until those flaws are remedied. That aren't many old theaters left nowadays, and especially in small towns. Princeton, you are fortunate to have this treasure. Support it.
