I took my dog in for emergency care as she had been vomitting for days and was not eating. The…read morewait time was reasonable and the initial care from the vet was good BUT it went downhill thereafter. I was called back to feed my dog since staff were afraid of her. Despite having an IV, they were unable to give her calming meds. While she was supposed to stay overnight, I ended up bringing her home as the vet-techs were too afraid to treat her, I had to disconnect the IV myself. The most worrisome is that although they took an x-ray, they missed colonic torsion. Had I not taken her to another ER, she'd be dead. The other ER had no issues treating my dog which required an emergency surgery to save her life. She remained in their care for 2.5 days without issue. BVE prolonged my dog's suffering. I wish I could have taken them with me when I moved, as I have yet to find an animal hospital that even comes close to Rose City. Dr Campbell is great and you can see that she isn't in it purely for the money. Her staff is great as well. Very friendly and knowledgeable. They take their time with you and your pet. They actually have personalities (unlike some places) and you see the same staff every time you go in. I had to put down my 14 year old cat after learning that she had an aggressive and quickly progressing cancer. Dr Campbell was very honest about it, and didn't try to get me to spend thousands of dollars when she knew it was unlikely my cat would survive (and would suffer needlessly). They gave us plenty of time to mourn her body in the examining room after she was put to sleep. They are very affordable. Their prices are more than fair for the amount of effort and caring they put into taking care of your pet's health. No upselling, no lying and no BS about your pet. I miss this place!

First off I had a 6 week old kitten with an…read moreupper respiratory infection and she would repeat the same prescription to no affect even after I requested a new form of treatment. I ended up having to rush him to emergency where the vet there had to give him cortisone shots to alleviate the fluid pushing against his nerves in his little nasal cavity and she prescribed the medication I previously requested from Dr. Campbell, who had said she could not administer to him because "it's only for dogs". Sure as rain this cured my kitten. Flash forward to Nov. 2016 my 10 year old cat had dropped weight drastically (7lbs in 2 months) and loosing clumps of fur. Dr. Campbell did blood work and deemed him "perfectly healthy" and didn't even try to find out a reason for his sudden decline. He continued losing weight and I took him to another vet who determined he was not even close to healthy. Long story short, three months after he was given a clean bill of health from Dr. Campbell, I am sitting here looking at the urn containing the ashes of my much loved best friend. BEWARE OF THIS VET!

He was only 11 years old so it was a very hard decision to have to put him down. The vet and staff were honest and compassionate. They sent a beautiful card afterward as well, with forget me not seeds to plant in his memory. I was not expecting this at all. They really care about the animals and their owners. We chose to keep his ashes and get a paw print done. Both the urn and the ornament were beautiful.

I had my beagle operated on and I had the opportunity to wait for my dog and I noticed that they take in more clients than my family doctor.Their attitudes were a bit stressed out .....but who wouldn't be if you worked as hard as these people do ! They were very professional ....knew what they were talking about and had a great passion for the animals they treated .I would take my dog there knowing that she would get the best of care ! In my opinion maybe it is the client who expects too much from the staff in these hard times. So grow up and go with the flow ... and be pleasant to people who work so hard . Have you been to a normal hospital and experienced the mad commotion happening ? I think Appleview Animal Hospital is much more organized .So get over it !!
