Two days of chilling in Knox and I spent them tuned in to WIMZ. I was able to tune in from Sevierville as I crossed over into town. "Enter Sandman" by Metallica "(You Gotta) Fight For Your Rights" by the Beastie Boys "Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd "Bad Company" "Hard To Handle" by the Black Crowes The only DJ I heard was George McFly but the morning John Boy and Billy show was mildly funny at times and slightly condescending at others. Honestly, I listen to this station on the way to work each day. George McFly is the DJ, he's upbeat, and wee bit strange, which I like! And I believe actually a pussy cat, at heart! It is by far not the best station I have listened to! And it barely scratches the surface of bands that have rocked in the 60's and NOW up and coming! ( I miss that fresh talent, that more upbeat together stations deliver) Haha, I love the original rockers, not bubble gum , and the fresh new rockers who need a platform. Many times, the exact same tune is playing at the same time the next day! When making my 1 hour journey to work, shame on you all! One thing that is awesome,is, those faithful listeners that love the time warp. Change is good, so I would ask them to incorporate the Frank Zappa goodies, Captain Beef Heart, &, the Grateful Dead goodies, Black Oak Arkansas, Cream, Doors,Sweat Hog, Uriah Heap,etc... all that inspired the era. Love love the afternoon show McFly I think he should be doing the morning show he never has to undermine anybody or other nationalities belittle them and doesn't make fun of them especially the way they speak but I've got to say that the morning show I found not so pleasing I find a way they depict other nationalities undermining and very racist I unfortunately was listening to the morning show one day with my grandson he began to cry I asked him why he was crying he says meemaw do I really sound like that and they were talking and doing a spoof on Asian speaking in the manner of an Asian accent and undermining their intelligence in the way they speak it's appalling I don't understand why they're still on the air and why somebody hasn't called them on this this is racist and making fun of why other people speak making them seem that they are not intelligent also their jokes are not very funny can't we get some new hosts people I don't understand why they can get away with the meaning and undermining other racists they think it's funny I find it appalling and what are we really teaching our kids read more
