Rather than acting as my advocate, he seemed more concerned about upsetting the other side and doing very little to actually fight on my behalf. At some point I did ask myself if Ryan was my lawyer or my ex husband's is how badly he didn't advocate for me (in my opinion). I definitely got the short end of the deal including losing a big part of my retirement without a fight. He was really polite and organized and responsive but I needed someone to flex more muscle sort of speak given that the other side was really tough, pushy and making ridiculous requests which lead to a lot of unnecessary back and forth and which lead to me getting substantial billings. Hiring a lawyer should bring peace of mind and confidence that someone is advocating for your best interests. Sadly, that was not my experience.
