The owner…read more(Thorn) of John L Scott Ocean Shore's reply to our review and his accusations against us (his previous client) is offensive, made up and in his words "thoroughly nutty". Bottom line is that we asked to be let out of the contract two days after signing due to the unprofessional conduct of his agents. We attempted to resolve numerous times with Thorn but he would only let us out on the condition his agents (the ones we are trying to run away from) get paid if we sell our home. He continuously threatens my wife and I with his legal team and threatened posting outrageous stories about us (which he followed through with) to have us remove this negative review. We have no other motives and would not post a negative review if he resolved our issue like he insists he did. The truth: Thorn "unconditionally" let us out of the contract on the CONDITION his agents get paid for their disservice when we sell our house. We have no reason to leave a negative review otherwise. Thorn continuously threatens my wife and I with a lawsuit to have us remove our review using his John L. Scott attorneys stressing it will be very costly for us to defend. We are sharing our review and hope the Ocean Shores community sees how John L. Scott treated us as unsatisfied customers. If you ever have a problem with one of the John L. Scott agents, you will have to deal with the owner, Thorn Ward since he is the bottom line. Our Original Review: I wish we never found John L Scott in Ocean Shores to list our home. Be careful before signing! We've sold and bought many houses with different agencies but John L Scott is protective of their agents (regardless of unprofessional conduct) and can care less about the client. We signed the listing on Friday, found out their agents were not upfront during the signing / unprofessional throughout and requested to be released from the contract the following Monday (2 days after signing, not even on market, no MLS number). Thorn Ward is the John L Scott branch owner and would not unconditionally release us from the contract two days after signing. After the terrible experience, we tried to go back to an agent we trust but John L. Scott Ocean Shores refused to sign our cancellation paperwork until our new agent (who we have done business with several times in the past) agrees to pay a large referral fee to the John L. Scott agents who did us a disservice. DETAILS: Penny Pinching Services / Unethical Behavior 1.) told us minimum length of contract 6 months, asked to sign for minimum/less time but said not available 2.) No digital e-sign as requested/ all hand paperwork/ no choice 3.) agent takes unprofessional listing pictures herself for our 850k house, also drone operator complained agent trying to lowball his costs 4.) unprofessional throughout falsely saying they helped us prepare things for listing the house so they should get full commission when we tried to get out due to the poor service (all they did was briefly come over to take pics using what appeared in her hand as a cell phone, and only had the listing for two days when we tried to get out) We now have a choice of not selling our house until the contract expires in 6 months or our trusted new agent to pay John L. Scott Ocean Shores (and terrible agents) a LARGE referral fee for the two days their agents wasted with us, basically like holding us and our agent hostage in order to release us from the contract to sell our home.

After a trip to the ER we had to move my Dad out of his house and rent it. The only thing that Premier Property Management did right was find us a qualified tenant. We had many phone and email conversations due to some neglect to the house by my father. Then everything went downhill quickly. My Dad had left a few items that were to stay with the house and we wanted to check to make sure they were itemized on the walk through. After several requests we were informed that 'There hadn't been time' to do one. We had a meeting to discuss other concerns we were having with Premier. None of which changes. The main concern was communication. Long story long, after many emails and discussions, the owner contacted me via email. He was rude and very derogatory to me. Which made me question their methods even more. After speaking to a lawyer, I wrote an extremely detailed email citing all of the RCW's they had failed to follow quoting their own emails and letter and suggested they terminate their contract with us immediately or we would see them in court. They never did an initial walk through, they then illegally collected a deposit( cannot accept a deposit without the walk through), also, allowed pets with out collecting a deposit. I would never in a MILLION years recommend Premier Property Management. You are better off taking the time to study landlord tenant laws and do it yourself!
