We were told it was an accounting issue, but we could not get consistent communication or resolution. When Currie finally showed up, the job was still left incomplete. On top of all of that, the interactions were unprofessional. The owner was very professional, and although he hasn't been doing this type of work for many years, I felt very comfortable that he knew very much what he was talking about and that he had been well trained. Chimney worked fine but been a few years since we gave it a good once over so took the deal. Gentlemen got to work and left hours later with a $50 tip. Got cold again so went to get another fire going. Our fireplace had worked fine the week before the cleaning so was expecting better performance if anything. Was quite surprised when our home filled with smoke and had to rush to douse the fire and run the smoking logs outside to our grill till they fully burnt out. Called the next business day (few days later) and was apologized to and promised a call back. Waited a week and called again. Was assured I was still in the system and would get a call soon. Called again the following week informing them I had yet to hear from anyone and was again assured I was still showing in the system and would hear from them soon. Just called again, and now, it's being suggested I didn't inform them soon enough to be protected by their warranty guarantee even though I had heard multiple times prior someone would be reaching out to help me soon.
