Many cobblestone mosaics can be found throughout Freiburg im Breisgau. Most mosaics are embedded in the cobblestone pavement of the city center of Freiburg. The older mosaics are commonly attributed to the paver Alois Krems. His work was inspired by pavings that he had seen in southern France. More cobblestone mosaics were added during the 1970s when the old city of Freiburg was turned into a pedestrian zone.

A wonderful and magical gift shop nestled away in Zurich. They have the most exquisite items and…read moregifts. I was looking for a store that sold christmas themed items and traditional "smoke men" (or german incense smokers). My search ended when I came across their website (http://www.pegasus-zuerich.ch/). While most things are pretty pricey, you can't beat the quality and beauty of the gifts. If you're looking for something a bit different and less touristy to bring home to family and friends, this store is a must visit! I can't wait to go back again and see what treasures I can find.
