Window World Review First off, we do not recommend anyone using Window World.  The salesman promised the world and the company didn't deliver on any of them.   After we signed the contract, the miserable process began.  The windows were delivered by the installation crew.  We were told all employees were Window World employees.  That was not true.  I would ask the installers a question and their response was always "I don't work for Window World, you will need to call them."  The first window they installed was broken.  They were sloppy and always in an hurry. After installation, the inspector comes.  The newly installed windows failed inspection.  How do you fail an inspection if windows is all you do !! The window installers had to come back to fix their mistakes.  The installers were always in a hurry to get done and leave.  The windows passed the second inspection.  This should never have happened. Due to the poor manufacture of the windows, 10 windows were replaced out of a total of 12 windows originally installed.  One window had to be totally removed and its replacement was installed. The windows had a black tar substance in an all white frame. No one could explain how this happened at the manufacturer. This whole process takes months to get through, while they demand payment for their services.   Communication is non existent.  They never inform the homeowner on the status.  When you do call the office, they make every excuse for their inadequacies and are very rude in their response. 1-Star Review Window World of Central Florida: Lifetime Warranty Is a Lie My family purchased a sliding glass door from Window World of Central Florida in 2008. It came with a lifetime warranty -- a major selling point at the time. That door failed due to a clear manufacturing defect (moisture trapped between panes). When we filed a warranty claim in June 2024, they told us a refund check was issued. That was a lie. No check was ever received. When we asked for simple verification -- where it was sent, who it was addressed to, and whether it was cashed -- they refused to provide any proof. Then a manager (Nicole) told us they couldn't honor the warranty because my mother hadn't set up a trust before passing -- and claimed it would be "illegal" to proceed. Illegal? That is an outrageous and fabricated excuse to avoid responsibility. This is not just bad customer service -- it's deceptive, unethical, and shameful. If I could give them negative stars I would! They sent a crew in 3/31 to install windows. This crew was clueless as is Window World since they sent the crew with HOUSE windows and not MOBILE HOME windows! The crew decided to unscrew All of our original windows at once. They then pulled out one window and saw that there was some bad wood in the frame but, evidently, these window installers didn't have the experience to fix! So they put the original window back in and pulled out one from another room. This frame also needed some repair. They put that window back, told us they couldn't do the job, and preceded to walk around replacing only 1/4 of the original window screws! Ridiculous. One of the guys said he was calling his manage Nicole to see how to move forward. We waited for an answer but when we looked outside the crew had packed up and left without telling us anything! When we went outside we realized that not only had they only replaced 1/4 of the screws in the windows but they had taken the test of them with us. We were sure that someone from Window World would contact us to discuss when they would get the correct windows and when an experienced crew would arrive to install.... but nothing! We waited nearly a week and still hadn't heard anything so we sent a demand letter asking for our deposit back! The company received the letter on the 11th but we still hadn't heard anything from them. Today (the 17th, nearly 3 weeks later) I received an email asking us to contact them in regards to our contract! I have had issues with their windows since they were installed years ago. They were not installed correctly, did not pass inspection. could not raise them so they would stay, the problems go on and on. At one point service was put off for weeks because they did not have the proper parts, etc. etc. etc. Only when I threatened them with a lawsuit and was told I could not sue them, they came out, but the windows still do not work as they should. YOU MUST READ BEFORE DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Under no circumstance should you do business with Window World of Brevard County. Worst customer service and experience I've ever had with a purchase of any kind. I signed the contract for 11 windows and a front door on Feb 22, 2021. It's now 10 months later and only 6 of the 11 windows are installed. The remaining windows are due in late January so that will make this a 1 year long process. Why half the windows: 1 window was broken, 1 window was scratched, 1 window has a crooked frame and 2 windows were missing. Screen was also missing and some other issues. When the windows were installed back on Oct 5, I was told it would only be another 3-4 weeks to get the missing windows and then they could schedule installation. That was wrong. It's like starting the process all over again for windows - so 4-6 months.  3-4 weeks is for parts. But no one ever called me and told me that. I was told today when I called. But that's not really the main reason for the horrible review... it's about communication and professionalism, or a lack thereof. I could write a bunch more and provide details and examples, but what's the point. Our review is a carbon copy of so many others. Ordered windows on Nov 10, 2021 with an install time frame of February 2022. They finally installed in May except for two windows, one of which was wrong layout and the other not delivered. Of the windows installed, scratches on glass, rip in screen and sliding door incorrectly installed. On the phone daily looking for answers. We had a window replaced upstairs on the front of the house. We also just had a beautiful new red roof installed. The installers did not use a drop cloth and let stucco dry all over. They finally cleaned the roof, but left bare spots with no sand. The stucco job under the window is shotty at best. Awful experience read more

We gave these people every opportunity, and they blew it. We went to their Rockledge showroom a few months ago to inquire about impact resistant windows. We were told by the staff they were too busy to talk to us, so we walked out. This week, I called them about a broken window. I was told they only install new windows, with a minimum of four. Fine. The person on the phone said she forwarded my information to a "scheduler" who would call back in 20 minutes. Two days later, no one had called, so I called back. I was told they had no record of my call in their system! So I made another appointment; this time, I received a confirmation email so I knew I was in their "system." No one showed for the appointment. After waiting an hour, I called them and was told they couldn't reach the sales rep, he wasn't returning calls or texts! After another hour, I called again and got voice mail. I left a message that if they wanted my business, they should send someone reliable. About 15 minutes later, I received a call from a woman who said she was a sales rep but she was about 50 miles away and didn't want to come in the rain. She then said, "You're not in our system." The same bogus excuse. Three strikes, you're out. I understand that everyone is understaffed and there's a high demand, but lying to your customers and repeatedly blowing them off sends the message that you're dishonest and have no integrity. At the time I'm writing this, it has been over three months since I put in an initial service call. I have not received a single call return from this company. Their window installation has been leaking since immediately after the installation, resulting in damage to my house. This damage is ongoing. Their lack of response, customer care, and professionalism is so low that, had I not experienced it myself, I would not believe it. I am now forced to calling their offices every hour until I receive a proper response. I am currently reaching out to legal practices in the area to see what other recourses are possible. The windows seem to be mostly good quality and appear to have been installed properly. The big negative is communication, both during installation and after. We were told about one day to install 12 windows. The "crew" (2 guys) showed up just before noon on day 1 and worked straight through to 9pm. Needless to say, windows removed for several hours after dark in Florida means the house is now full of bugs. Job wasn't even half finished. Day 2, the installers were supposed to be here between 9 and 10. They showed up again at noon, worked until 9 pm. Again, bugs and the job wasn't finished. Day 3 the crew chief shows up to say they will finish. Since they never told me what time they would be here, we were out, so they had to wait. Crew chief tells me the building inspector will be coming out that day and everything will be done and signed off. They finished the job, but apparently never scheduled the inspection. Crew chief gives me forms for payment and to schedule an inspection for the following week. The day of the "scheduled" inspection nobody shows. I call the office and speak to a woman who clearly had zero interest in customer service. They claim they never got the scheduling paperwork, but somehow got the payment paperwork. I had to take 4 days off for a 1 day installation. I have no confirmation of an inspection date, but this will turn into a 5th day, maybe 6. Also discovered 2 windows with defects between the panes. Complained to their corporate office and the sales person, but no response. Should have gone with the other contractor but I believed the sales person. My mistake there. They may be less expensive, but will make up for that with aggravation. read more

Even when you are scheduled there is no guarantee they will show up. Our installation has been postponed four times. I would like nothing better than give a company a great review for their work and response time. However, I cannot give this company a sterling review. We ordered windows in January 2021 and were told we would have them 9 to 11 weeks. That never happened. Finally they were installed on 5/29/21. The installers made a mess of our home. We were never told that we needed to cover our furniture and they never came prepared to hang any kind of material to prevent the dust from coming into our home. One window has a crack in it and another was measured incorrectly and one other has a leak in between the panes. The workers tore up the tile at our slider and could not find any close replacement. Had to be satisfied with a contrasting tile which we are really not satisfied with. They laid the tile a month and a half ago and we are still waiting for them to come back to grout it. Now we have been told our replacement windows won't be available until September 29th. We cannot say anything nice/good about this company. To anyone out there looking to have high impact windows installed for heavens sake do not buy them from Window World. They make to many mistakes and promises they can't keep. Buyer beware!!! AVOID at all costs! They tried to charge us for scaffolding which they never had or used, they left construction debris everywhere including throwing old screws in the pool, rusty nails in our grass, and even throwing broken concrete onto our roof. Some glass was installed with scratches from the factory, the window frames are delaminating, there are deep gouges in the window frames from sloppy drilling, the doors were cut an inch too short and literally allowed air conditioning out & bugs in! We have duct tape over the cracks and they refuse to fix it. Even the hardware was mismatched and damaged. My wife is crying, and now we can't get an insurance discount for having hurricane-ready windows & doors - which is why we made the mistake of hiring them to begin with. I have been dealing with WW for almost a year and the job is still not done. All's I get is the run-around about the manufacturer will come out and look at the issues. I've been told that for months and it never happens. As for the so called professional installers they use, that's a false statement. There was nothing professional about the two inexperienced installers that trashed my stucco, drywall & trim and they had to use some of my tool to do the job, wow. WW has taken care of some of the many problems but the job is still not done and doesn't look like this will be resolver anytime soon. Our experience with Window World was horrible. We were told by the installer that half our windows and the sliding patio door were measured incorrectly and could not be installed. We also found that the sliding door did not have grids or a screen door like we had ordered. We were told it would be a couple of months if we wanted the sliding glass door as ordered. The crew began installing the three windows that they could. I was informed that one window was too large but they could "make" it fit. By the time they got to the third window I asked them to stop. That I was not happy with the installation. I had to go above the Rockledge managers head to get a reasonable answer. The manager at the Rockledge store was argumentative and not cooperative when .After talking to the regional manager he said he would come out with a different crew and resolve any issues we had. The windows that were installed needed to be removed and re-installed. That left caulking all over our newly painted home. When the installer left we found caulking smears on all the windows dirt and scratches. When the inspector came we found screens that needed repaired and other issues with the installation. I called again to have these problems resolved. They agreed to send out a tech. When he arrived several days later he answered the door talking on the phone, while I am attempting to get him in the house one of our dogs escaped and he is still on the phone. I tell him to get off of the phone and get out of the way. He told me to F off told me I can forget about my warranty and left. I was truly frustrated with the first attempt at the installation but after I spoke to James the regional manager it seemed we were back on track. The second crew did a very good job of repairing original three windows. This is not a company I would suggest. We went with them because of the price and materials. The lower price was not worth the poor installation and service. That said this was a miserable process and I will never use again or suggest this company to anyone. read more

I don't even know where to begin. On October 23, 2019, a representative from Window World came out to my home to assess whether a repair was needed for two windows in our front living room. At that time, the representative determined there was a crack in the frame of both of those double windows, and that is why water was intruding into my home and causing damage to the surrounding drywall. He told me that the parts would be ordered, and somebody would be in touch. After not hearing from anyone for over a month, I called and left a message on the office voice mail during business hours. I did not receive a call back. I called again on December 5th and was informed that my parts were in and she attempted to schedule me for the next day. Unfortunately, I needed to schedule further out due to my schedule. I inquired when the parts arrived, and she told me they had just arrived on their truck that Tuesday (12/3). We agreed to schedule for the afternoon of Friday, 12/13/19. I called back on the morning of 12/13 to confirm the technicians would be arriving and was told they were due to arrive between 12-4 pm. I requested a heads-up call when they were headed in my direction, as I was working at my office about 15 minutes from my home. I was assured that would be arranged. I received a phone call from the technician at 12:30 pm, asking which home was mine (they had gone to the wrong house first). He said he didn't know he was supposed to call me first. I rushed home to let them in so they could get started and arrived at 12:45 pm. At 3:30 pm, the technicians had removed the entire frame from one of the double windows. They had installed 1/2 of the sashes back on the left side (facing east), then proceeded to take a 30-minute smoke break. I left to retrieve my 2 younger children from school, seeing that only ¼ of the work was done. They left at 6:30 pm after discovering that the window was not the right size. They were not given clear instructions, and it is my belief that they installed the incorrect frames in the wrong spots. Right now, I have an incomplete installation in my home. I am demanding that the entire frame and center supports be re-ordered on a RUSH for both windows, and that I am sent installers who are more experienced next time. I am waiting for this phase to be complete in order to complete some stucco repair on the exterior of my home, and then to have the exterior painted. I have had to push both of these repairs back because of the delay with the windows. Additionally, due to the cracked frames, I have had water intrusion, which has caused significant damage to the drywall surrounding the window closest to my front door. We have experienced a significant decline in the level of service, skill and professionalism as it relates to this warranty repair in comparison with our original installation. This stems across the board from the receptionist taking calls in the office all the way down the line to whomever assessed the damage and wrote up the ticket, to whomever made the order, and finally, to the installers who showed up to do this repair. I expect this to be rectified immediately, and to our 100% satisfaction. I also expect Window World to compensate us for the drywall repair and window trim repair that is required as a result of the water intrusion due to the failed window frames. As a real estate professional, I have encountered dozens of service professionals and companies who offer professional home improvement services. I have yet to encounter such lackluster customer service and experience as I have with this entire situation. read more

We heard a #windoworld ad on our favorite radio station #WFIT and went to their showroom in Rockledge. We signed and paid half to get new sliding glass doors in April 2021. They finally completed some of the work in November 2021. In order for us to get our inspection and all those stickers off the doors, we had to pay them in full even though the job was not finished so we did. The trim was finally put on in May 2022. This is July 2022 and this company still owes us screens. They have consumed so many hours of our time by sending them emails, texts, phone calls and messages asking them to finish the job we paid for. I tried to write this review on the web page provided but my computer said unable to open on 4 different browsers and I tried to write this review on google but was not able to do that so I resorted to FB. I purchased a door from Window World in Rockledge. They have a nice show room but sent a sales persons out to my house. They only brought brochures to show us and the items we liked were not explained to us. I had to continue call to find out when the door would be delivered as it was late. Renee who identified herself as the plant manager told me she could not tell me when the door would be received from the supplier. I said I think I will cancel the order and surprise the door LITERALLY showed up the next morning. The first door they brought was wrong and had to be returned and the horror story moved forward. It took longer than the first door to receive. Phone calls to window world only got me angrier as the only answers were we are waiting for the supplier and I don't know. The plant manager knew nothing except it is the suppliers fault. I finally said I will find someone to get me a door and will cancel that one. Surprise I received a message about 1 1/2 hours later, my WINDOW LITERALLY just came off the truck. With all my calls, I would have thought that the plant manager would have known I ordered a door. Some good things now. The installers came and only spoke Spanish, one some broken English. They were great and very professional, probably one of the best installers in my 17 years in this house. At the end of the installation, I wrote on the paper that I would schedule the inspection because I volunteer for Veterans. As soon as the installers left, I left to volunteer. The next morning I received a phone call from a male at window world who saw the notes and asked me if I was going to schedule the inspection myself. I said yes. They installed the door on Tuesday and I volunteered on Wednesday and Thursday was Thanksgiving. My first available day for inspection was the following Tuesday. When I called at the time on the paper I was told the inspection was on hold as an inspector went by the house on Wednesday and nobody was home and there was a $100 reinspection fee. I again called window world and got Renee and when I said that there was a $100 reinspection fee, she said no one from WW called. We argued for awhile without a resolution. I said I was putting the credit card payment on hold until the issue was resolved. 1/2 hour later the Issue was resolved and I scheduled the inspection the next morning. Not quite the end as the inspector needs to see the screws and when finished I called window world to see when they were going to fill the holes. Once again I was told not their responsibility but the contract says otherwise. Window World has a great product and besides the door I had windows installed many years ago and both had great installers. But the new Rockledge team has not a clue how to manage their operation. By all means if you decide to purchase a window world product use one of the many franchises other than Rockledge. read more

A few days ago I received an advertising piece touting what a great job Window World does for their clients. Now that I have cooled off some, I will explain the reason for my anger and disappointment. In mid- February we met with a sales representative who quoted for us the cost for two hurricane impact sliding glass doors with screens, and 9 hurricane impact windows with screens for the second floor. The sales representative assured us the shutters would not be in the way during installation of the new sliders. I explained I would have to have them taken down by the company who made and installed them, so if they were in the way I'd need to know. In order to save money we paid in full up front , a BIG MISTAKE! In the later part of April Window World installed the windows and doors with the following issues: Both sets Plantation Shutters were broken that are on the sliding glass doors. The sliding glass door in the master bedroom is crooked- by an inch from the top to the bottom. Also, no screen was delivered. 3 of the windows upstairs had holes in the screens. Foam used in the installation was dropped on the carpet and a chair. Corner bead was separated from the drywall on a window during the installation. The drywall was damaged around both sliding glass doors. After many repeated phone calls and messages, Window World sent out a representative to meet with us and to take pictures of the afore mentioned issues on July 28th. On August 23rd I received a call from the scheduling department that our sliding glass door screen should be in on September 9th and they will be getting with us soon thereafter to address the above issues. This was a very bad experience for my wife and I. The amount of problems were staggering and too long to list here. Nothing went as they said it would. I called the corporate headquarters and they did not return my calls. If it wasn't for James, the regional installation manager, stepping in to correct all the errors, the job would have never been completed. If only 0 stars was an option. My experience with Window World was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a company providing me a product/service. I was provided incorrect information during the initial sale. The wrong door was ordered and I had to wait an additional 12 weeks after waiting 12 weeks to begin with. Getting someone to call me back was nearly impossible and when I did get to speak to someone, I was dismissed and then repeatedly ignored. I was lied to on multiple occasions. The installers did a terrible job with both the inside and outside trim. They damaged the trim, tried to cover it up and lied to me about it, the corners do not align, there are nails sticking more than an eight of an inch out and the calking looks like a 5 year old did it (they didn't even calk behind the hinges). They installed my doors wrong- including that it wasn't even the door I ordered. Then they wouldn't do anything to make it right except tell they would get me the right one. Great product and great customer service! Windows came in sooner than expected and they worked with me on my schedule to get the windows installed. Installers noticed a small defect that I couldn't even see and they ordered the new part and once the part came in, they swapped it out on their next route to the area. I had heard positive reviews from friends and even though I had seen a few negative reviews, I decided to give them my business. I had been told that it was under new franchise ownership, new management and that there were lots of changes being made. So glad I chose Window World and am now entrusting them to do my mom's house too!! My salesman was great, the office staff are wonderful and the installers are very professional!! I signed a contract for hurricane windows and doors in April, to be installed in late May or June and every month, it gets pushed back again and again.Now the doors are not going to be installed until Sept 6th. The manager is very rude, talks over you, is not interested in hearing your complaints or working towards a reasonable solution. I just want my doors installed. Had 11 windows installed and one was broken from the transport I guess. The installers said it would be replaced in 2 weeks so I had no problem. Horrible company!! Avoid buying anything from them. I bought windows from them for my home and I am very disappointed, they are very low quality and have a lot of defects (made very badly). Their installers are very unprofessional and sloppy, they don't know anything about work ethics and customer service. After they installed all my windows they had to come back several times to correct what they did wrong. My windows still do not look right. They also stole some tools from my garage and damage my stucco and window frames. What a horrible experience!! Their manager has very poor customer service and only focuses on the payment disregarding your concerns and the work of his very bad, untrained employees. This company sucks. My sister ordered to two hurricane proof sliders for her balcony last September. They said it would take 3 months. Well, the genius salesman "Chris" ordered the one slider incorrectly so they had to install it upside down. The second slider still isn't in yet from "Virginia". They say the frame is in but they don't know where the slider or hardware or paper work is. So its been 5 months, one door installed upside down because of their fault, and one door could be driving up and down I95 looking for a new home. Don't order from this company.
