It's wedding-cake of octagonal and arcaded tiers rises 226ft (70m), making it Wren's tallest. The present building is actually the eighth church on the site, and the crypt contains the remains of Saxon foundations, now part of a museum describing the early history of this part of London. The church itself was heavily rebuilt after being gutted in 1940, but the neo-classical interior is a sympathetic rendering, rather than a copy, of Wren's original. St Bride's is known as the church of the Press, until recently located in nearby Fleet Street. Those associations go back to the 1500s, when Wynkyn de Worde, William Caxton's apprentice, brought his press here. Wynkyn was buried in St Bride's in 1535. Other printers also set up shop nearby, and the link with the press has been maintained to this day.

The Kingston Upon Thames branch is up there with the rest of the ones that ive stayed in in the pastt, with a clean bright lobby/reception area hosted by friendly staff and clean and comfortable rooms inside with the normal quality beds and furniture as well as wi fi access and breakfast as an optional extra. I always go for a breakfast here as they have always been very good and offer exceptional value for money. Some people complain that these arent inclusive, but as i normally manage to book ahead online and get a room for £9.99 or £19.95, or therabouts, i certainly dont mind paying a few pounds extra for food oin the morning. Everything about this hotel is very good in my opinion, and ive never found it to be noisy. Highly recommended and excellent service by the hotel staff.

Full of bright colors, it is a small alley just off Covent Gardens and has pretty and colorful buildings, with shops and cafes. picturesque and very hippy style, which is actually some kind of "reflection" of the person who created Neal's Yard. See, its the thing, when you don't expect it and that is surprisingly beautiful- it was the same case with Neal's Yard. and not everyone will say that - 'hey going to London, do visit this small courtyard' . Nope, it was all part of my research... , It's only about 5 minutes from Covent Garden market, and there are two alleyways that lead to it, but they're not particularly easy to spot: one is via Monmouth Street and the other is via Short's Gardens, which is just off Neal Street. A short wander through Seven Dials and you'll be greeted by all the quaint restaurants, famous shops, and vibrant ambiance that makes this London spot one for the books Indulge in one of the many stylish and yummy storefronts on offer, serving everything from organic goods to a fresh mani-pedi! By the tube station exit? Food stalls! Like a mini-version of Borough Market, 10 or so stalls huddle together, each one representing a different country's cuisine - Brazilian, Portuguese, Indian, French etc. It's street food stuff and authentic, each stall owner seemingly from the country they are representing in cuisineunless they're just good at accents. OK, I didn't know what half the food wasbut it looked good and what I had tasted great - some Brazilian stuffed fried bread thing. And the best thing? There's no one around! I went Saturday lunchtime and there was just a smattering of bewildered people so access to food was immediate! And the worst thing? There's no one around! These cute little stalls aren't going to last much longer! In the half hour I spent there, they sold enough food to appease a couple of ants. So go before the owners realise there's more cash in Iceland than round their stalls.
