If I drove elsewhere I may have found the bottle for a little cheaper, but it's an independent shop & conveniently located for me so I didn't mind spending a little more. As I was paying, cashier asked if I wanted to sample a Korean strawberry soju. It was tasty so I bought a bottle. More importantly, the prices were MUCH lower. For example, a bottle of Bogle essential red blend (yes, I drink blends) was $9.09 here, where at places 3 miles down the road it'll run $12-14. Another example, we tried a bottle from Josh cellars, which used to be a good value but has become overpriced and overhyped. Some fancy bourbon barrel aged one that other stores have for $22 - it ran 17.99 here. The icing on the cake was the clerk kindly assisted in bringing the box out to our car! Haven't had service like that since I lived in the south. There's a decent looking spirits and beer selection as well, although I didn't really make note of the prices in those departments tonight. Also of note, they do have chilled wines available (why wait?) and ice if you need it. Parking space is plenty and the store wasn't mobbed at 5 pm on a Saturday but a steady flow. It's on 206 south near the bordentown shoprite, so you'll have to navigate a famous jersey jug handle coming from the south. We will be back!

Her response was, "Well, you just had a shot of Tito's." I replied, "Okay, well I would like a Cosmo." I then watched her pour a splash of Tito's into the shaker. After receiving the drink, I paid via Apple Pay and asked for the receipt so I could leave a tip. Cheryl informed me that she had already tipped herself 20%, which I found inappropriate and unacceptable--tipping should be at the guest's discretion. I returned to my table and took a sip of the drink, only to realize it tasted like juice. I had several friends with me, many of whom are experienced bartenders or servers, including myself, and they confirmed it was not a proper Cosmopolitan. Upset that Cheryl had added a tip without my consent and served a drink that clearly lacked alcohol, I approached her to express my dissatisfaction. Rather than addressing the issue professionally, she gave me attitude and stated I shouldn't have been drinking before my sports event. She did offer a replacement drink at no charge, but again, it was just juice. Meanwhile, Cheryl and Alex were seen discussing the situation behind the bar, which only made the experience more uncomfortable. I want to make it clear that I will return to Sammy D's, but I will not be ordering drinks from Cheryl or Alex again.
