They have a large parking lot that seems to fill up so although I lucked up and was able to get a good spot, I can see at times it may not be as easy to do so. The security guard at the entrance of the hospital was so pleasant yet thorough. I wish I would've gotten his name because he was just that good and deserves kudos (middle aged tall brown skinned man) . He spoke to everyone who entered, walked them through the process for entry, re-checked numerous bags and did all with a smile. The hiring event was towards the back of the main floor and was very organized. The Penn Med staff hosting the event were all very friendly and informative and I was able to make a few key connections I can work with and hopefully build a partnership with for the sake of employing Medical Assisting graduates .

I visited the ER on July 4 due to having dizzy spells. The nurse on call took my blood and did not…read moreknow what he was doing. My blood spewed out all over the bed and blanket. Now my arm is black and blue because clearly the needle pierced through my veins and muscle. Horrible experience. He then put it in the next arm and the same thing happened. These nurses should not be working if they do not know how to take blood. I will not go back there.

My diabetes has gotten worse over the years. After Dr.Paul Yee left this place and went down to Marlboro. I got assigned to Dr.Kotek and all she did was wearing a full face mask and type on her computer. I then asked for another provider and I got Shari Benson she was across the room from me like I had COVID the only difference between Kotac and Shari was Shari did not have a full face mask. I then asked to see a real Dr. Dr. Bubow was an elderly man and they must have told why I was changing Dr.'s because he said I need to enter info. But he did exam me. All these years I thought I was seeing an endocrinologist. Well I was wrong and no one told me that Dr.'s in Centrastate were not endocrinologist. I was lied to all they did was pump me up with different insulins. I will not be going back. I found an endocrinologist in Monroe township. Perhaps he will get my b.s. back to normal.

They have a fancy building but don't have the staff to back it up. (in fairness, I am sure there are some good people there but I have never seen them in the ER) Worse, they are grossly overcharging patients. I definitely recommend everyone ask for all charges up front and make sure they are reasonable. I had them charge me $8000 for a test that should have cost $1500 if you look at average costs for the tests nationally. I was never told anything about this insane charge up front and would have went to a local radiology place if I was. When asked if they would negotiate it to something reasonable, I was told they won't negotiate their bills. They are what they are. I saw two doctors there. One was very good. Another one, I spent a year seeing and she came up with two diagnosis which I actually suggested to her and asked her to test for. She came up with nothing on her own but never refrained from charging me. Sad that such a beautiful hospital is so poorly run!

I went to see Dr Patel at Regenerative as I have a serious back problem - the long term result of…read moreejecting from a burning fighter aircraft during the Vietnam era. 18 previous specialists had failed to cure or stop the pain and I went to Dr Patel in order to have an Ablation. In order to have a full Ablation, I had to first have a Bilateral L 4 S 1 Medial Branch Block which he did perform but it did not do anything for me so I did not have the Ablation as Medicare would not cover the procedure. Instead, Dr Patel then prescribed a Buprenorphine patch to wear on my back in order to stop the pain. He did not tell me that it had opioids in it and, if I had known this, I would have never paid the $167 which I had to pay the pharmacy after Medicare since I had had very serious side effects from previously prescribed opioid pain killers. It took me 5 days to receive the prescription due to Insurance issues but I placed the patch on my back when I eventually received it. I had few side effects for the first 48 hours but then I became seriously dizzy and drowsy after I had driven some distance to take a Haitian refugee to the doctor. Fortunately, the Haitian was not at home so I was able to drive home alone and remove the patch after speaking to Dr Patel's nurse practitioner who told me to do so and never to wear it again. It would have been very foolish to have driven with a passenger in the condition I was in. I removed the patch as soon as I got home and it took me another 24 hours to get back to normal. In addition to all this, I had had a Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TCAVR) for my heart in Nov and taking opioids was not recommended. Why did Dr Patel not tell me that the patch had opioids. Very unprofessional and I will not be seeing him again.

The nurse practitioner that I saw (Leema Mathews) was wonderful. She spent more than 30 minutes…read morewith me, and was kind, respectful, and thorough. In addition to three tests (Flu, Covid, and Strep), which all came out negative, she checked my lungs, my lymph nodes, etc. etc. She took the time to explain (and print out) what things I had been doing that I should continue, what I should change (and why). She also wrote out a scrip for an anti-biotic, for me to use just in case the new treatments do not have any effect after two more days. She even sent a scrip to my regular pharmacy for some things that are available over the counter, in case that would help me to get them with prescription coverage. So, overall: a great experience while I was feeling pretty crummy. She was professional and empathic. Much more than at urgent care locations, such as Carbon Health. My new go to plan will be to avoid "urgent care" places and go to CVS minute clinics instead.

Where did I shove my stash of masks? What previously agreed to holiday mirth will now be foregone with (almost) regrets? I can't say I'm that broken up about it. It's a Dickensian Christmas for me, sipping soup swaddled in some moth-eaten blanket. Is that Jacob Marley I hear jangling up the stairs. Humbug. Oh yeah CVS, they were swell. Five easy stars.

Maybe they should just call this facility Med Delay and be done with it. The good news is this location is right next to a movie theater so while you're cooling your Achilles heel waiting for Doctor Feelgood consider catching a flick. Ask your doctor if Immediate Care is right for you... if you can find him.

After…read morechecking in on the iPad I wasn't sure I was going to actually wait as there were 37 people ahead of me. Yes, THIRTY SEVEN! The website gave me an estimated time that I would be seen and showed my place in the virtual line. I found this to be very helpful, as I was able to leave and run some errands and surprisingly accurate as to the time I was actually seen. Everyone else I came in contact with during my visit, nurse practitioner, technician and receptionist on my way out, were all helpful, friendly and smiling. I give them a lot of credit as I can't imagine I would've been smiling after seeing as many people as they had that day.
