Tremendous attention to detail for Dr Philip Aumann and his wife who runs the front desk and back office. Ok, so maybe I'm a bit bias with Dr Aumann being a fellow "Cheesehead" from Wisconsin, and we hit it off right away. Truth be told I had not intended to visit any chiropractor when I woke up July 10, but after 19 1/2 hour drive and moving my oldest son into his new apartment in Bozeman, something was definitely "off" with my body. While I had a "hot spot" in my upper back and spine area, Dr Aumann took great care to fully examine my entire body structure, from the toes to my head. He really broke down my body into the parts needing the most attention, working his way up to my spine and remarkably it all just came together with my muscular and skeletal structure. The thoroughness, bedside manner, and personalization really made me feel relaxed (sometimes hard for me at a chiro), and my healing began immediately with a 15 minute ice pack session to top things off. So as we wrapped things up and adjourned to the lobby, Dr Aumann and his wife asked what brought me to Bozeman, to which I explained my 27-year old son decided to move to the mountains to fish, hunt, hike and enjoy the outdoors. Dr said, "sounds a lot like why we moved here, he's going to love it"...matter of fact, based on my sons trade being in the residential painting business, they went out of their way to put us in touch with the area high-end residential home builders, so he could network his skills. They have soft peaceful music playing, noise machines, and aromatherapy oil diffusers going, creating a soft calming scent. Anna at the front desk is awesome - always there with a smile, greeting you as you walk in. She is so cool to talk to as well. I'm always happy to see her. I have seen two acupuncturists so far, but I really love Autumn Goodrich. I only book with her now. She has a maternal energy, making me feel like she is taking good care of me. She is a very knowledgeable practitioner and takes her time working with me, making me feel like I'm her only patient. Your first appointment is about 90 mins, where you fill out an in-depth medical questionnaire and the practitioner walks through it with you. They evaluate your tongue, take your pulse, and ask a lot of questions. Each follow up visit is about 45-60 mins. I have a history of stomach issues and chronic low back pain, so these areas have been my focus. Five sessions in, and I can tell a difference. I really look forward to coming in each week. It's a nice treat. I understand acupuncture to be great for stress management and the immune system. With winter approaching (and cold/flu season), I plan on going once/mo once I reach six sessions, going weekly. During your acupuncture session, you stay clothed but take your shoes and socks off. You're lying down either on your back or on your stomach (with a face rest - like a massage table) with soft sheets on the table to lie on (they even have flannel sheets for cold months!) and soft silk sheets (like real silk) to cover you up. They give you an eye mask to put over your eyes. Don't be surprised if you hear a lot of snoring. It's easy to fall asleep at PRH. There's tea and water in the kitchen area, where you can help yourself. Bathrooms are in the back. It's a great place, I highly recommend it. And they even have a sliding fee scale. What a nice gift PRH is to the Bozeman community.
