I go to the wine cellar quite a bit mainly because of their awesome beer selection. And they have salmon.

Such a nice liquor store with a great selection of wines, spirits, and beer. Bu the best part is the customer service with help in choosing what you need. The entire staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to take time to help out their customers. This is my "Go To" liquor store, even though it's 25 miles from my home. A REAL WINE SHOP!! Much more diverse selection than the standard liquor store that features mass market wines like Gallo and jug wines. I found both Hungarian wines and the specific Spanish bubbly (Cava) I was looking for. No Slovenian wines (yet), but they offered to order some for me. Very friendly and attentive service. read more

The Wine Cellar and Ridgeview have always been my go to to find new favorites. Both have a wonderful, friendly, and helpful staff. I like the selection at The Wine Cellar just a bit better, though. For me, the big draw of these stops are the single can options. I am not sure why the store/Yelp name doesn't include Craft Beer Spot! Because that why I came there for. They carry lots of beers. Lots of different kinds of beers. CRAFT BEERS! Choose from east coast to west coast, from Scandervinia to Australia, from local to International, and from IPA to stout to lager, you name it and they probably just have it. There are more thank 800 different beers to choose from. You can buy a single bottle or a pack, sales and discounts are available on many products. Of course they also have many wines and liquors and the sections seem to be quite impressive too. Before checking out, make sure to grab some smoked salmon from Bearcat's Fish House from Algoma. There are two places I would recommend for liquor stores in Green Bay, and the Wine Cellar is definitely one of them. A couple of years ago they moved into a bigger store on the same block which really increased their selection for everything! I'm a beer guy and they have a fantastic craft beer selection with plenty of cooler space. Their make your six pack selection is better compared to other stores. I'm really diggin this as the best place for craft beer in town. The selection is unique and extensive, along with the physical space being inviting. Great selection of foreign beers including Belgians which are a favorite of mine. The distribution is slightly different as I've noticed a lot more different breweries outside the norm of the GB/DP scene. read more

If there is a better place to buy wine and beer in and around Green Bay I haven't been there. My wife and I have bought, literally, tons of wine, beer and Bourbon from here and we have always gotten great and helpful service. We love the fact that, if they do not have something, you can give them your request and they will try to get in what you are looking for. Papillon ftw! Prices can be a bit more expensive on common wines with Woodman's but they have some great finds you cannot get anywhere else. read more

Five stars? Really Andy? If you know anything about me, you know I like my beer like my men: Thick and black. That being said, I don't know anywhere to get a stout in this town because I don't speak Yooper. Apparently Apple or Google hasn't made a Yooper translation app yet, so I was forced to resort to The Yalps on my quest for thick blackness in my mouth. The Yalps didn't disappoint here. I was to meet a friend in Green Bay and had about an hour to spare, so I swung by De Pere to find a beer or twelve. This place pops up first, and oddly enough, about two miles away from my, then current location. Cool. I walk up thinking this is going to be like most Atlanta beer places, and alas I was wrong. The beer guy helped me immediately, and helped pick out quite a few tasty liquid melba-toasts for later. I wasn't in the store but for about five minutes and I had just over 20 beers of rivaling tastes and flavors from the great state of 'Sconsin. I'd come back if I didn't live 980 miles away. read more

On Friday, 5-6-2016 I called an area spirits store around 5 minutes before they were to close. I was able to speak with the owner Laura who assisted me from California in selecting a gift for my sister on Mother's day. Not only did she steer me in the right direction in selecting the item for her, she was able to give me great detail on the area and the history of the Wine Cellar. I almost drove to the airport just to fly out and visit myself. The very next day, early morning....the owner of the Wine Cellar went out of their way to deliver the gift package to my sister in De Pere. My sister was very happy and stated...she knew of the Wine Cellar and was sure to make all of her future purchases at their location. I told my sister about their martini baskets and of course she demanded I buy her one...! I told her for Christmas, for sure.... read more

I was in Wisconsin for Rock USA. I am from Marquette, Michigan which has a few decent spots to get good unique brews, but while I was in the Appleton Green Bay area was I hoping to find a good store to stock up and I was NOT disappointing. This place is exactly what I was looking for.. and beyond honestly. Their selection is incredible. They have everything! I came in wanted to pick up some new things I hadnt tried, but I was also looking for 1 beer in particular, Blackberry Supernova. I was looking and boom, there it was, the last 4 pack on the rack. The lady helping me look took the 4pk to see look in the computer to see if they had more in stock. She then told me they could order me more, which i had to decline since ai am not local. I was blown away, they even has three different brews from brewing company I had tried before from this tiny town in Maine. If you go in here you will likely be not only pleased but blown away. Very big selection of 6/4 pk craft beers and 4 or 5 full fridges of singles to put into your own 6 pack. This is also a great place to get wine from what I can tell, its not really my area, but they have walls and walls and aisles of wine and some interesting lookong liquor too. The man who checked me out was very friendly and encouraged me to come back. Very happy! Will drop back in any time I am in the area in the future. Highly recommend stopping in. read more

Stopped in to purchase some beer. They have a really vast selection of craft beer. Everything was clearly labeled and the stuff were helpful in checking us out. The only lack of star is because the cashier did not know that with the case of beer we got we should also get a free glass. Glad I saw a promotion sign and showed them. read more

I absolutely LOVE this store. I don't live in Green Bay, I'm actually from Missouri and married into the Packer cult, but both Dale and Laura took me in as a native Wisconsinite! They are amazingly helpful and have a wide and passionate knowledge of many different types of spirits. My personal passion is bourbon and I thoroughly enjoyed my conversations with them about the wide selection available in their store.
