There's an employee by the name of Tyler. He's got reddish-brown curly hair & he wears it like an afro. He also wears round glasses. Dude has a SERIOUS attitude problem. His lane was available, but he didn't call me to his lane, so I could have my whiskey rung up. Instead, he was staring off into space like he was tripping on drugs. This guy was on another planet. One of his coworkers sees me standing in line & his coworker flags me to come to Tyler's lane. No eye contact. No greeting. Gotta love these reverse affirmative action hires. They should pay him to go back to wherever he came from.

They have 2 Wine Tasting options available, $25/4x1oz (includes higher-end wines), $20/4x1oz (smaller selection, but still quite a far amt). I think beer flights were $15/4x2oz. From speaking with her, I don't think the girl who helped me with my selection knew a great deal about wines. She said that she hasn't tasted all of them, but then again, there are A LOT from the both menus. I'm assuming that most of the people working here are students. The back patio is nice with the Escarpment in the horizon and vineyard in the foreground. I think you can also order apps that are cooked in the trailer outside. At 1oz each, I honestly think this isn't enough to get a good idea of the wine. It is literally 2 small sips! Other wineries that I've been to usually offer 4x2oz pours at the same price, and this amount is MUCH better in terms of getting a proper taste. Since it was such a small amount, it was hard to get a good gauge of the wines. The Muscat was nice though and I bought a bottle. Instead of doing the beer flight, I just cans to go as it seemed more economical. Bar area where those tasting were happening was a bit cramped! There was someone sitting at the bar already, another guy standing doing a tasting, and I felt a bit weird intruding on their space to ask the bartender about the beers. Fridges were on both sides of the bar, so not concentrated in 1 area. Beers/ciders area looking like a bit of an afterthought.

Some sales. Not sure you are allowed to drink it in the courtyard once you buy it. I don't know if this is a chain or not. But it was A-OK

They often have discounted wine not found at other LCBO. The best feature however is the walk-in beer cooler. How many times I've been in there on a scorching summer day. It's a great time to grab beer and beat the heat. Their beer selection of course has the standard domestic beer but also a nice selection. From around the world, including a few good ones from Germany. The staff is friendly and welcoming and they certainly know the 'Barton Regulars' and greet everyone kindly. Highly Recommend

Came here in a group of 4 with the Peller Wine Country Touring passes (sold for $20 online, also…read moreassociated with Trius and Wine Country Vinters). It was a little bit far from the other vineyards and there was no ice wine but they have a large menu of reds and whites available for tasting, as well as perhaps one or two rose wines. The pass allows each person to sample three wines of their choosing. We came here on a quiet Sunday afternoon in early January and between the four of us, managed to sample most of the wine menu. My husband was particularly fond of the "Steel Post" white wine, which is surprising, as he is typically a red white drinker, partial to oaky French wines. The grounds are simple, but rustically beautiful. They have plenty of picnic tables for sitting outside in the summer. The parking lot is gravel and mud so be prepared in the bad weather; our shoes got pretty messy just during the short walk from the car to the winery entrance. Note: for parents with kids, they do have a small table with coloring books and picture books. They do not have juices available for kids to drink (Peller Estates and Trius both do have grapes juices for children, or perhaps your designated driver, to drink)
