First negative encounter I've had with a business in this area. Will never shop here again. I thought I had found my go-to wine store when I moved to this area a few weeks ago. The layout and selection reminded me of my favorite liquor store, Total Wine and More. I noticed the prices here were higher, but I was still willing to support this local store. Never again since today's purchase and experience with customer service. I purchased 4 bottles of wine for close to $60. I questioned the cashier when she packed them all into one paper bag asking if the bag would hold. She said it would be fine and proceeded to slip scraps of cardboard between my bottles. I carried the bag out to my car holding the bottom of the bag with my free hand. When I unloaded my car in my garage, I pulled the bag out of the car holding the top of the bag and the bottles fell through the bottom and broke and emptied all over my garage floor. After cleaning up the glass and spilled wine I called the store to tell them what had happened as was told there was nothing they could do since it did not happen on their premises. No apology was offered for the money I wasted, the mess I incurred and the time I spent cleaning it up. read more

I have shopped here for YEARS, mostly using their delivery service as it is convenient. Their inventory control is terrible, and I frequently get calls that things are out, they don't have the number of the item I ordered, etc. etc. When I have been in store, I have found the sales staff to be disinterested in even acknowledging you and rude when you ask questions. Today was the last straw for me. I placed an order this morning for items for a party I am hosting tomorrow. At 12:38 PM I received a phone call saying 'Just checking that you got our email (NOPE NEVER GOT AN EMAIL) about not having driver today so can't deliver your order'. They opened at 9AM - how about a call then. When I called back, Jake (the person's name) was incredibly rude and dismissive. I told him to cancel the order.... after I hung up I called back to question him about the email, and he continued to be defensive and unapologetic. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I will be taking my business some place else and I encourage others in the area to find some mom and pop places to shop at. read more

Stopped here on our way to our home rental for the summer and have been back multiple times. My husband was looking for a particular bourbon, spoke with the store manager (forgot his name but had a clean shaven head) and he was able to bring in a case! All employees were helpful and we were asked at least 3 times by different people if we needed help. read more

They had many signs on the wine racks that stated 10% discount when you buy six bottles. When I got to the cash register I requested the discount and clerk said the wine I purchased was already at their lowest price and the discount was not for the wine I purchased. The clerk could not locate a wine on the shelving that had many signs that would qualify for the discount. Never trust a store that wants to trick you. Yankee Spirits is still the best place to stock up on liquor. read more

This store has a great variety of beverages and they also have pre made wine, beer and assorted liquor gift baskets for purchase if you needed to pick up something on the go. Everyone who had already given a review is right on. Staff here is rude & couldn't give a shit if you're there or not. Their 5 dollars off when you spend like a million dollars applies to non alcohol items....that are already over charged & you can't combine them so they're honestly pretty useless. They're also so inconsistent with ID-ing its pathetic. One the one & only time I left my wallet at home, they wouldn't let my wife and I *she was paying* purchase the alcohol we had waited in line for- the guy was also awfully rude about it-- the kicker is that I had been sampling their alcohol at the several stations they had around the store...& am well over the legal drinking age. I hate it here also because their selection is only at a basic level and prices are never consistent. It's convenient if you're already in the plaza but otherwise, it's tough spending your money on a place that has such a negative staff (like honestly though why y'all so angry & act like you hate the world?? Is everyone related so no one had to actually have an interview or something!?) And is just decent with selection. The people at Liquor & More I think it is are much nicer and actually great you like the customer you are - it's not as big but its cleaner and has better prices and great selection so just go there & save yourself lol. read more

This place is very large, but despite the size, they do not carry any of the high end rums I drink. I find the layout confusing and the prices high. I have been here a few times, but see no reason to return. read more

I love this place, it is just what a smaller town like Wareham needs to hopefully get people away from the smaller stores that seem to carry essentially nothing. I am big on beers from New England and the selection here is really quite astonishing, they must have more than 1000 brews and a few hundred just from Massachusetts. Their prices are quite good as well, maybe not the very lowest on something, but they will listen when you tell them of a lower price somewhere. Don't be shy and they won't either. read more

Horribly run establishment. Incredibly rude and illiterate help. I used to be a frequent customer here-never again. Do better.

Worst experience of my life. I went to buy wine for my 90 year grandfather who is disabled and my 14 year old brother and sister to help me carry the 5 bottles of wine to the counter and they tried to ID the little kids and when I told them they are 14 they got very aggressive and short tempered and yelled a racial slur at my little brother who is adopted from Guatemala. We proceeded to explain to them they were there only to help carry the wine and that my grandpa was in the car. They kicked us out without any chance of an explanation. I used to go here pretty frequently until I figured out that some of their prices are very misleading. For instance, even though bottles are in the 2 for $xx section, the prices may ring up as something completely different (and higher). I pointed it out to them but they never fixed it. Finally I brought in a receipt and showed them very directly what the problem was, but they just blamed it on the signage that has been there for a long time. Also they claim to give a 10% discount on 6 or more bottles, but you don't get the discount if the wine is on sale. Apparently all of the wines in the 2 for $xx section are considered "on sale" even though that is their usual price and does not say Sale anywhere. But I got inconsistent answers from different cashiers on whether I was getting the discount or not. Other local wine stores do not have that restriction. I told the assistant manager that I was tired of having to check the price of each and every bottle to make sure that it was what I was expecting, and that I honestly didn't want to shop there any more because of it. He said that was fine, I didn't have to shop there. OK -- you got it, I won't! read more

Decent beer selection, but the help is horrible. I can't tell you how many times I have called and left messages to place an order and never get called backed even after 3 and 4 times. I have ordered cases of beer in the store that they never followed through on. This is the most poorly managed business from the top on down on a yearly basis. I would highly recommend that you not do business here to save yourself the headaches that I have been through with this mismanaged outfit. read more

The first time I walked into this place was like walking into alcohol heaven. I can't even begin to comment on the selection of all different varieties of booze. For such a large store, they didn't seem to have many people working at that time. I like to get suggestions for the employees about different beers or what's new, etc., but I can never seem to find anyone out of the times I've been here. During my last trip I had purchased several expensive beers I was dying to get my hands on. The man at the register was an older gentleman with grey hair. My friend checked out first with no problem and didn't get carded (we're both in our mid twenties, but she looks very young). It was my turn to check out. He rang up my beers, checked my ID and made a comment about my change in hair color (I now have dark brown hair. In my license photo I am blonde). I'm used to this since it happens all the time. I made a comment about how I'm always changing my hair and he looked at me suspiciously as he scanned my license. He then claimed the name on my license wasn't matching up with what came up on his computer in a rude manner. I told him that was impossible, I have no need for a fake ID. He scanned it again while shaking his head, eyebrows raised. There must have been something wrong with his system because eventually my name came up. He did not apologize for being rude or thank me for shopping or tell me to have a nice day. Despite their amazing selection of alcohol, I won't waste my time there after that incident. There are plenty of other liquor stores I'd rather spend my money at. read more

We go to Wines and More every couple weeks. Well we USE to. We had the customer loyalty cards that they would physically check off every time you bought wine. After 12 checks your next purchase you got 25 percent off. We had 2 full cards and were planning on buying a couple real nice bottles of something. On our visit we found a couple nice bottles of port. One was in the locked case and the man who helped us said that the cards might not work on the locked case bottles but would work on the others. Cashier says we don't accept those cards anymore and we told EVERYONE this summer.(apparently they didn't even tell all the workers) I am a frequent customer and they did no such thing. They wouldn't honor them. I sent an email on their website a couple weeks ago saying how disappointed I was with the store and never heard anything back. Obviously they don't want my business and obviously I won't give them any. There are just too many other liquor stores that are just as competitive. No reason to go there anymore. read more

Aaaarrrrrrgh! Today was the fourth time I've been charged a price higher than what was on the signage. The first time I was overcharged I simply thought it was my mistake. The second time I was overcharged on the same wine I mentioned it--seems there were TWO different price signs for the same item. My 10.99 vodka rang up as 11.99. A guy doubled-checked and said I was charged the proper price. I insisted there was a clear sign reading 10.99. He looked again and admitted I was right. I also bought several nip bottles of their cheapest booze. (I wanted the empty bottles and they're well over a buck apiece online) The sign clearly stated 99c, but I was charged 1.09. What the heck! This is a pattern, not an error! I realize that many folks won't raise a stink about 10c or a dollar--it's not worth the time. But it appears that Wines and More is systematically deceptive. You decide if paying the extra, hidden 9 to 10% markup is worth it. read more

Terrible customer service. 5 registers and only one opened. Waited 10 minutes with 2 customers ahead of me. One bottle didn't ring up, so 2nd clerk, who was moving papers around, came to find price. Played around and then rang up 34 dollars. Told her it was 12 and she asked me to show her where I got it. I left 2 bottles of wine and 1 vodka and walked out! It was 2:30 PM.
