When we arrived, there were multiple areas to park and the parking is free. We are already off to a good start. They also have golf cart shuttles that are free to take you to the front entrance. Admission was $5 per person and was either cash or card (there was a fee if you used a card). There is an ATM onsite for convenience. There are two main areas of artisans. The remaining sections include, the rides/games, food, and stage. The shows on the stage are free and the games/rides costs tickets, which can be purchased separately from the admission. There is also the playground that is park of the park that is free of course. The variety in food was decent, although there was not a ton of table space to eat at. Lastly, there is not a ton of shade here so beware on a sunny day. Our family had a great day!

The location was cool but could be on the dangerous side due to the train still running. Not many places to park and the places you can park they were charging $10. If you plan on eating any food from the trucks make sure your prepared to spend some money. There were three different stages with many local schools performing and also dance schools. Unfortunately it rained all Sunday so we did not get to catch any of the performances.

Kennesaw is the perfect backdrop for this annual festival that features a parade, musical performances, food and arts and crafts. I was determined to get to the festival regardless of the weather. As always, we arrive early, just after 8:30 so that we can get the lay of the land and take it all in. Parking was great, very close, well-staffed with attendants and only cost $5. Can't beat it! The parade usually precedes the beginning of the festivities. I did not get to see the beginning of the parade because I was distracted by one of the jewelry vendors and was too busy purchasing items. We did however get there before all was done. Every parade is unique, but audience participation is essential if you really want to have a good time. This parade is not as open as others. The streets are very narrow, so gates are used to contain the crowds. They don't throw candy from floats because they don't have them. They actually walk along the route and politely put the candy into the hands of the kids. If you yell out "Hey! I want candy too , they will give you some. If you yell out to the square dancers to "do-si-do", they will comply. The Steampunk group was one of my favorite as the fashion is just so cool and their sign read something like: Steampunk gun club and sewing circle, (interesting combination). That Harrison High School Band was the bomb! They sound so professional! After the parade, we continued to check out the various vendors. Some of my favorite vendors are the jewelry vendors that travel around with their wares. Stones to Wear is my favorite as I love sterling silver and big bold pieces. Phil and Sharon are like family and we always stop by and visit with them. The Panjo guy was unique. He took kitchen pans, (cake, brownie, heart-shaped etc) and made banjos out of them. He actually did a demonstration which was very cool. If you like dulcimer music, then you would appreciate this. I want to give a special shout-out to Superior Plumbing who provided superior toilet facilities complete with sinks and running water. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!! If you decide to go, be careful as the ground is very wet and muddy. I wore sport sandals that can be easily cleaned and are quick to dry. If you don't want to eat typical carny food, eat before you go or eat afterwards because the only healthy vendor we saw was the Smoothie vendor. We wanted something more substantial so we just ate after we left. We had a great day and it was made even more special because of the train that frequently runs right through the festival! Love it!

There was plenty of parking close to the event and there was a petting zoo, bouncy houses, pony rides, and face paintings/tattoos for the kids. They also had a lot of vendors selling items from crochet animals and headbands to hot sauce vendors and many others. It was a free event but the bounce houses were $10 for unlimited jumps and the pony rides were also $10. All of the vendors were friendly and welcoming. This was my first time going to this event and I'm glad I went.

PIGS AND PEACHES BARBEQUE FESTIVAL…read more Today's festival was awesome and was well planned and organized. There was plenty of advanced information describing activities, vendors and performers. The signage directing you to the venue and parking was on point. We were able to park and walk for free, but if you wanted to get closer to the venue it would only cost $7. When we arrived, it was still cool and the walk was very reasonable. Upon entering the venue, there are several vendors selling jewelry, services, food, and more. The first stage that you see is the family stage with performances that were great for the entire family. The cloggers and dancers performed on this stage, yet it was the only one that was not shaded on this very hot day. The cloggers were great but we just could not tolerate the sun. As we moved throughout the venue, we noticed to additional stages, the adult stage and the second stage. These stages were close to the shaded areas, (large tents with tables and chairs) so that you could sit and enjoy a mile while you listen to music. The main stage was popping with the Alex Guthrie band. They were very soulful and played some great "old school" tunes and well as original music. There were several barbeque vendors and it was difficult to choose one. My husband just decided to go with the one that had the large pig roasting. I guess it looked very authentic to him and it was a very good choice. If you are looking for something active, they have a zip line, (more child appropriate) for $10 and helicopter rides for $30. In addition, there is a very large play area for the kids to bounce until they drop. I scored a cool souvenir tee, delicious apple slushy, caricature and earrings today. The barbeque was so filling that I just did not have room for anything more and I missed an opportunity to find traditional peach cobbler. Oh well, there is always next year!

Just a handful of actual BBQ businesses and each one of them were showing their prices higher than what you would spend in the restaurant. Williams Brothers had 2 booths at lease so in total maybe 5-6 at best of other BBQ shops. The craft booths were just about selling the same thing at each one of them. We were asked so, so,so many times if we wanted new windows in our house or insurance from vendors. "Which was more of them then crafting or spice vendors. We only found one vendor that had anything to do with peaches. we normally go to these to try and fine New and or better BBQ places to try but we won't waste our time and money again. After walking around and getting tired of hearing the same line of sales pitches, we walked over to Cheeseburger Bobby's and had dinner for 2 including drinks for what it was going to cost one of us just to try out some BBQ. Not one of the BBQ vendors had something of a sample tray or plate for free or to buy just to get a feel for the flavor of their BBQ. Only getting one star because they did have lots of jumping houses for kids to play in.

DACULA FALL FESTIVAL!…read more This festival is just a big mystery to me because I could find no information regarding its start or its age. It is as if today was the first day that they held this festival. For every single festival I have ever attended, their is some on-line documentation about the festival regarding the date and circumstances, number of attendees the previous year, vendors etc. This festival offered nothing! Let me just say this: If you aren't excited about your festival and don't "shout it out", how will people know to attend? Be proud and represent your festival to the fullest! When we arrived, we realized that this is a very small community festival. It is held in the center of town at Old Mill Park which is a really nice venue with outdoor seating and a performance stage. This seemed to be a festival designed more for the locals than visitors because of the limited vendors and lack of festival information. Although there were no food trucks, there was food offered from a local restaurant and from other vendors. Unfortunately much of what was offered was hotdogs, burgers and sandwiches. I would have appreciated more options. There was one table that interested me because it was obvious that the treats were homemade and there were samples. I sampled the apple pound cake and it was delicious! It was made from quality ingredients, the flavors were balanced, the apples were fresh and not canned and there was a beautiful baked topping that just made the cake sing. I have never purchased a cake because I prefer to bake them myself. However, I was happy to buy two servings to go but I had to get into mine right away! It never made it back to the car. Yes!! If you just want to get out of the house, chill and meet some people in a quiet setting, this is your festival.

I've been every year since 2014 and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. Enjoy some of the local food while stopping into the booths to find one of a kind trinkets or maybe some larger like a painting or custom knife. I had heard about this event from the earlier event locations - this is a "pop-up" style market…read morethat moves around Atlanta, typically over a holiday weekend. On this occasion, it was the Memorial Day weekend on 2018.10.5 - 2018.10.07 and the market took place at the North Point Mall at 1000 North Point Cir, Alpharetta, GA 30022, along the side facing the JC Penny's anchor store. This is an outdoor vendor-oriented market featuring imported goods and a huge assortment of food. In Asia markets like these are done at night to escape the heat of the day - typically they go on pretty much all night but of course this US market is a bit more pragmatic. I met a friend after work on the first night (Friday) right when it opened, about 5:00 PM. The market was just getting started so some of the food vendors weren't quite ready and some tents were unoccupied, but this was remedied by the time we left. Admission was $10 but could have been less if we'd bought online prior to the event day - we decided to just pay at the gate. Oh and most of these vendors were cash only so keep that in mind - there are several ATMs but you get to pay those fees. I'd say that the "International" aspect was very well represented by a super diverse assortment of vendors and a crowd to to match. There were the typical saree and handbag sellers plus one booth that had leather jackets. I saw many, many different ethnic groups from all over the world - lots of fun to be had. There's also a stage with music that continued for most of the night with some live local acts and a DJ spinning a broad-time-spanning assortment of well-mixed dance music. But of course the real reason I attended was to sample the food. The food ranged from near-local to far reaching Asian - there were at least two different Lao vendors, Snackboxe Bistro and a Thai/Viet/Lao vendor that served Pad Thai, Papaya Salad and skewers of meat. There were also several Indian vendors including the nearby Dekkan Spice (very good) so a good mix of local restaurants, caterers and food trucks. I saw a couple of Halal places including a whole BBQ goat. We settled on a mix of Thai and Island cuisines, the latter being a veggie and noodle stirfry with teriyaki chicken. I thought both were quite good and less than $10. The Hawaiian rotisserie looked amazing but wasn't quite ready or I def would have gotten the pork ribs or turkey leg. There was also a vegan section with many restaurants within if what I described above scared you. I think there was plenty to sample something unusual and come away full. There were many drink vendors selling lassies and other cold drinks including many fruity drinks. I only saw one beer vendor but it was large and well placed sith several local craft brews - I ended up with a Creature Comforts Tropicalia IPA but also say a Three Taverns sour and a Steady Hand Farmhouse Ale (Saisson) as options. Overall I liked the event but coudn't stay much more than the hour or so (commitments elsewhere) but did have fun while there. The people serving were really nice and accommodating and good about answering questions. It was starting to get crowded so that was my queue to get out anyway - I don't deal with the jostle of the crowds - when my beer gets bumped it's time to leave!

This festival is held in October and as such has many of the offerings you would find during the fall. It starts out with a 5K on Saturday and a parade later in the day. There's also a large field that holds mostly North-Georgia locals with various wares for sale, including home-baked goods, arts-and-crafts and the like. This last is much more like the country markets that I'm used to seeing in my smallish home town. What makes this festival really special though is the subject matter. I became interested in the marble quarried from North Georgia as my home in Atlanta is wrapped in material from there referenced as "Cherokee Marble" - my home has 4 different gauges of white stone stacked/interlocked going entirely around the perimeter - it's quite beautiful. We drove up for the festival to see what it's all about, but also to take advantage of the tours of the local, still operating quarries. Turns out that much of the white monument stone was used in Washington DC and other state capitals as it's of a quality and hardness that makes it good for full-weather exposure (something I learned while attending the tours). It's now used much less than previously, with the finer quality stone sitting in reserve for use (it's mostly marked so it can be re-used when needed so that the veining and color matches). The tour is very good and worth attending - there are a few departures each day so you can fit it into other activities. The festival is very kid-friendly and a good way to escape the city and learn about an important resource. If you're clever you can time your trip to hit one of the big local "family style" restaurants, depending on where you're coming from. Otherwise, have a fried pie or funnel cake and live life.

The waffles were fluffy & extremely fantastic. The tray had granny smith sautéed apples & maple syrup I had 1/2 of my hubby's had Nashville chicken wrap the next day & it was awesome & heated up very well. The meal came out to 42 & change which considering how good the food was it was worth it. The atmosphere was very good you have to get in line to order then you get to sit at a table, there is full service waitress from then on. The service was great & we even had a waitress keep someone from taking our table! Highly recommend if you are in downtown Marietta.
