Mr. Winslow misrepresented us in a dispute with 2 HOA's and the previous owner of our condo. He allowed a fraudulent agreement to be filed with the courts 2 years ago. It was a completely one sided agreement that we had never seen. We didn't even have mediation until a month after the fraudulent agreement was filed. Don't trust this attorney. He never had our best interests in mind. We paid him close to $30,000. read more

I should've believed the reviews I was reading about Winslow Law, they first over charged me, asked for $5,000 retainer, I was hoping they would work hard for me, but after I submitted my retainer, I never received a call from an Attorney since. I continue to write and call, the Parralegals are very kind, I get promises they are working on my petition for Guardianship for my Dad, but all I hear from them is crickets. I haven't actully started working with Winslow law as of yet, but have spoken briefly once with Mr. Winslow. I've spoken with Angela, the paralegal several times. So far I am very impressed with their professionalism! Angela appears to be very knowledgeable. She's seems efficient and is friendly. After speaking briefly with Mr. Winslow I feel confident that he as well is very knowledgeable. My gut tells me that I'm in good hands with them. I've used Tom Winslow for 4 hearings now that had to do with tenants, evictions, and foreclosures (I'm a property owner). He won one hearing regarding eviction (though that was a slam dunk). At the end, after winning, he did ask for the time frame of reentering property be 24 hours, not 5 days, for the landlord (me). That was cool, and he won that. However, he did not ask for the money I spent to have to fly to SC for the eviction, rental car, his attorney costs, legal and office costs, mail costs, etc. When I asked him why he didn't after the hearing, he said "We'll file another lawsuit for that". That sounds fine except, besides the fact I live 2500 miles away, he told me it would cost me $3500 for that lawsuit!!!! It should have been part of the eviction hearing. He lost the other 3 hearings. In general, he has no fire. He acts bored, like he's working for a family business and doesn't really want to be there. He has no creativity. And I do all the research. Then he files it and seems to just read it to the judge. The last pre-foreclosure hearing seemed like almost a given, but he lost. I should've gone there and argued it myself. I already had my airfare reserved and have a place to stay (my place). He doesn't really argue the cases. He seems to have no passion, at least not in real estate law. Maybe he is better at other areas of law, and I recommend he stick to those. He is all about money, too. And he is expensive. Good points: He is one of the few real estate attorneys in Myrtle Beach from what I can see. And he is on the Legal Shield program if you have a Legal Shield membership (which does give you a discount). Next time I will just argue the case myself and take the opportunity to visit Myrtle Beach again. read more

What a waste of time and money. Tom Winslow was pleasant enough at the onset. However, he assigned my case to a junior attorney. That attorney never returned my multiple requests for a phone call, nor did he follow up on arranging a conference call for me. Since he refused to call me, I sent him an email one morning asking him basic questions like where he went to law, school, when did he graduate, had he had any success dealing with insurance companies; all basic qualification questions. Within hours he sent me an email telling me their firm was terminating our relationship. When I called Tom and asked him if was aware and approved of this decision, he said yes. read more

Please do yourself a favor and do not hire them. I won't get into anything, because they are not even worth my time to write a full review. They are not "go getters".. they do not do anything but go back to the other party and ask them for advice and then charge you for it. Everything they did, we could have done ourselves, even though it was a pretty "easy" case. They will just bleed your retainer dry and act as if they actually helped. I was warned about them, but after we had already hired them. It was too late. So again please, keep looking and don't stop with them. read more

What a complete waste of time and my money! I don't even know who Tom Winslow is because I only dealt with receptionist and via email with Allie Brown, an apparent junior attorney at the firm. I provided the firm with over 900 pages of medical documentation pertaining to a malpractice case. Everything was turned over to the "expert" for review. She never met once with me and this "expert" never asked a single question. I did manage to get onen brief call into her,in which she was able to wme how much money I would have to pay. Every document that they could have obtained from every doctor I have seen was laid in their laps, so they had to do absolutely nothing to obtain it. All they had to do was review it. After being told in writing that I'd be notified by the end of July if they would proceed, I found out today after sending another email that the answer was no. "I tried calling you last week to talk about your case" what is the answer I got, but no voicemails no missed calls on my phone. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! read more
