I requested a roof cleaning-mainly moss accumulated over years. It was a small roof, but the moss was firmly attached. We discussed how he would clean it and was very responsive to my concerns. I started with Home Advisors and the first call was from Mike at Winters Gutters. Very nice over the phone gave me a quote For what I was looking to have done....big mistake not getting the quote in writing. Numbers changed several times. Never showed up when they said they would. Gave them a 2nd chance, Mike would say We will be back in morning...no show. Asked for money up front to buy material then asked to have checks made out to him. When it came time to clean up my daughter and grandkids picked up nails and trash for obvious safety reasons. My last conversation with them he offered to return $150 for materials that my daughter had bought that his men took after sorting it out and asking them to not take it. Young family read more

The guy who did the work, Raul, was hardworking and helpful, and I'm happy about that. But it was really stressful dealing with Mike. The work was spread out over 1 1/2 weeks when it could really have been done over a few days. Mike pestered me for payments throughout, asked for the final payment early, and then because the work was not completed right away, I had to deal with him regarding a stop payment issue on the final check. Over a simple matter, Mike barraged me with texts and phone calls, etc.. I was harassed. I had a sense initially that there might be an issue with Mike, and that's exactly how it turned out. It's not worth it.. I recommend finding people who will repair your gutters and do it in a professional and courteous way. read more

Mike and his team did a great job with our gutters and leaf guards. It was a large job, and we had a number of rain delays. Overall communication was good with Mike. I had to ask them to come back and clean up some scraps and nails so kids/dogs are not harmed. But again, large job, some tough areas to work w/ tress/property lines. Our Gutters had not been cleaned for several years and during the last rain storm water was pouring over the gutter like a water fall. I called several companies Until I finally reached Winters Gutter. They where very very courteous and there pricing was great. In addition They did not try to push other servcies. We scheduled the cleaning service and they showed up on time just as they commited to. The work was done and they cleaned up around the house after they where done with the work. DO NOT PAY UNTIL JOB IS COMPLETE! I generally give people an opportunity to make things right when the service is less than acceptable. In this case I contracted with Mike Simons from Winters Gutter Service to have my gutters replaced on August 18, 2017. August 20, 2017 Mike asked for a deposit to get the installation started that was about a third of the total. The work began August 21, 2017 to remove the existing gutters. New gutter installation began August 23, 2017.  On August 25, 2017 for the most part the gutters were installed with a couple remaining issues to be addressed as well as the gutter screens to be installed. Mike then asked for an additional amount to be paid leaving a small balance until the job was completed. Since that time there have been excuse after excuse why the remaining work was being delayed.  As well as emails from Mike stating we did not contract for gutter screens. It took many emails back and forth including a copy of his original email to me stating the gutter screen were going to be installed at no additional cost. Once he acknowledged they were to be included he asked for another week to get them done. Still not done! As of October 15, 2017, the job still is not completed. I HIGHLY recommend if you do hire Winters Gutter Service that you do not pay them until the job is totally completed. Removed existing gutters and Installed copper gutters on a small house. Mike very responsive on phone and text; provided written estimate and final invoice. Crew made sure existing fascia were solid before mounting new gutters. There was some rescheduling and a pipe that did not initially get connected, but nothing major. Corrected two installation issues promptly; cleanup OK. Seems concerned that the customer be satisfied. Job carries a 20 year materials warranty and one free gutter cleaning. Recommend. read more

Mike Winters responded to a bid request via Home Advisor. He called and asked what work I needed. He asked for some photos and used google earth to look at my home and gave an price for the work. Mike completed the worked requested and also accomodated that need to replace 2 gutters that were rusted the same day the work was scheduled. Both Mike and his worker were on time and ready to work. Found Winters Gutters Service through Home Advisor. Talked with Mike on the phone and then sent him a picture of the gutter that I wanted replaced. Talked again with Mike, got a fair quote and made an appointment for the following week. Mike and his worker arrived early and got the job done quickly. The new gutter looks great! We had a terrible experience with Winters Gutters last summer. Throughout the process, Mike kept adding more services he felt needed to be done and asking for money. In the end, what was a reasonable quote for gutter replacement became expensive. I ended up writing 5 checks due to his persistent demand for money. One of the items he insisted needed to be done was to steam clean the roof as he said it was too slippery to work on. He broke hundreds of tiles in the process. The gutters looked fine from the street. At the first rain, water poured onto our house. I found another gutter installer who assessed the situation and found Winters Gutters had placed our gutters on with minimal screws and installed no flashing or hangers. I should have sued him but am tired of the whole thing. Winter's Gutters should be avoided at all costs. read more

The fact that Mike from Winters Gutters introduced himself to me as Steve should have been a red flag. After postponing several times, he sent a gutter guy, who did the work. After the guy did the job, I found out about the name change. But, Mike (Steve) had promised me that he would give me a 5-year warranty in writing, which he never did. At the end of the job he wanted his full payment with no invoice nor warranty. I offered to pay him half then and half after his warranty is sent to me, which I now know that it would probably not be worth the paper it is written on. Finally, I agreed to pay a little more than half until he sends me his official invoice and warranty. But, he never did. read more

I found Winters Gutter Service on HomeAdvisor to replace a rain gutter. I contacted Mike on 11/12 and set up the service for 11/20. No show, no call. Said he had the wrong time and date. Rescheduled for 11/30. No show, no call. Same for 12/11 and 12/14. Said he'll call on 12/17 at 10:00 to reschedule for that week. Again, no call. Luckily, I got through to voicemail...of course, no call. I suggest you compare his ratings on HomeAdvisor and Yelp. I wouldn't trust the HomeAdvisor's high rating. Yelp's low rating and comments reflect my actual experience. read more
