Fantastic food, the best steak dinner you will find in Bavaria. Beautiful atmospheric building from the 1600s, main floor and upstairs with spacious dining. Highly recommended for tourists and locals alike. read more

When in lower Bavaria this typical Bavarian private old-established brewhouse offers a good variety…read moreof local dishes. It is incredible how inexpensive the home brewed beer and food is. In the summer it is nice to sit outside. It is an excellent place to mingle with the very friendly Lower Bavarian locals. Lots of fun. As to their food. I've been here probably 5 times and the last few times I stuck with the BROTZEITPLATTE (assorted local meats and cheeses and their excellent bread (Graubrot). It is such a simple dish, however, all the locally made meats are made with sincerity and are so traditional. And everyone enjoyed it tremendously. In addition we had their WURSTSALAT, which is also highly recommendable. After these I never have the urge to have more food (just tons of more beer :))), although their warm dishes are also excellent, such as their Haxn or Schnitzel. Mingling with locals, fresh in-house brewed beer and traditional dishes make this always an unforgettable experience.

Wonderful German meals, the most delectable wiener schnitzel is almost as large as the plate it comes on! Generous half-liter drinks (beer, soda, etc) are filled to the top and the prices are extremely reasonable. Everything we've tried so far on the menu is delicious, looking forward to our next visit!

Mehrfache Besuche bestätigen, der Osl ist eine TOP Adresse. Die absolute Steigerung alles probierten, stellte das Ochsenkotlett dar. Super Fleischqualität auf ganz hohem Niveau zubereitet. Dazu hervorragende Butterböhnchen und Grillgemüse. Der Baron de Rothschild Merlot ist die passende Ergänzung dazu. Diese hervorragende Küche in dem so toll gestaltetem Wirtshaus bei einer freundlichen Bedienung ist schon ein ganz großes Erlebnis. Hier stimmt das Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis ganz, ganz sicher. Grandioses Wirtshaus - super modern - extrem nettes Personal - das Essen einfach unglaublich lecker. Wir sind nach einem langen Wandertag eingekehrt und hatten Glück noch einen Platz zu bekommen - Reservierung ist sinnvoll. Total kinderfreundlich; wir haben für unsere Kleine direkt Buntstifte & ein Malbuch bekommen. Wirklich alles bestens und kann nur weiterempfohlen werden!!! read more

The meal was great. The Curry Soup was spice and tasty. The carpaccio was excellent! The main dishes, Surf and Turf Salad and Pork Medallions were both very good. The dressings for the salads was light and fit well with the rest of the meal. The service was very warm and welcoming. read more

Sehr variationsreichen Küche - regional und frisch. Hier kommen wir regelmäßig zum Essen. Wirtshaus hat sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre. Bedienung ist stets aufmerksam und freundlich. Besonders die kleinen Desserts runden ein perfektes Essen ab. Klare Empfehlung. read more

Ich war sehr sehr enttäuscht weil alle so viel darüber erzählen von wegen super und alles, aber es war sehr unter dem Niveau das dargestellt würde. Ich werde dort nie wieder hingehen falls ich nochmal nach Bad Kötzting komme. Nicht empfehlenswert! read more
