We had absolutely no experience with this clinic before we called. Our 12 yr old boxer mix was suffering. We called with the intent to euthanize Lucah. They took us in and saw Lucah the same day. The doctor examined Lucah as we explained how he has rapidly deteriorated. He agreed that Lucah was probably suffering from tumors, and confirmed our thought that Lucah was ready to go. That was such an important part of our visit, as it is never easy to make that decision on your own. Then, less than 2 weeks later, we were so impressed to receive a sympathy card in the mail from the clinic. We are so touched by this gesture to strangers! I went to the clinic to get an international health certificate for my dog. They told me the cost was gonna be about $200 but when I went to go pick up the papers the cost was 250 just for the certificate and then there was the exam and then there was the fecal test which ended up being 320 total. My previous health certificate that I got in Gilmer cost only $65. I researched the internet for cost of IHC. It said 10 to 100 dollars. After having a procedure on a liver biopsy at this clinic I will have the animal put to sleep before he Ever returns to this piss poor clinic. The animal was cut as a heart transplant. No small insition as I was told. I was told his lungs looked good by the vet Linken, he was there for a small incision for a liver biopsy. I was lied to about the cost, things were added without discussion with me. The animal was sent home after about a nine inch cut without any antibiotics. Another trip the following day. The SO CALLED VET LINKEN told me he would check on the animal and NEVER received a call. Had to see another vet the following day to get antibiotics for the infection PLUS 3 other prescriptions that he has never taken. This Animal will never return to the stupid morons. read more

I have nothing but great things to say about Wisdom Animal Clinic. My brother in laws English bulldog Athena started having a hard time breathing so he took her to an animal clinic where he lives outside of Texarkana. The vet there first told him that they believed Athena was just having an allergic reaction but would run some test to be sure. Then, it turned into a life or death situation of where Athena's soft palate was too long and was in her throat causing it to swell making it difficult for her to breath. That small vet could not perform the surgery that was needed. After calling all over Texarkana Wisdom Animal Clinic was the only vet that we could find that was willing to see us and had the capabilities of performing the surgery. Everyone else told us to go to Shreveport where they have a 24-hour clinic. Before my brother in law headed to Texarkana the vet that he was currently with expressed his concerns of moving the dog. He said that the dog might not make it to Texarkana. Wisdom Animal Clinic aware of the situation told us to come on and they would be waiting when we arrived. From the moment we walked into the clinic we felt welcomed. The young ladies at the front desk were so kind and knowledgeable during the terrible time we were going through. The vet who introduced himself was a young man who took Athena's condition very seriously, he did not waste any time and assured us that he would do everything he could to keep our fur baby breathing, and off to surgery they went. The surgery took about 45 minutes and then we were allowed to take her home once she woke up and became active. The vet told us that Athena should be fine now but may still be breathing heavy because there is still some swelling. The next afternoon after Athena's surgery, she coughed, and blood came out twice. Totally freaking out he called Wisdom and the vet who did Athena's surgery got on the phone and assured him that she was okay. That since her pallet was in her throat for so long that a little blood is totally normal. The vet was able to ease his concerns and now Athena is fully recovered. We could not be more thankful for Wisdom Animal Clinic and all the hospitality they have shown us! My brother in law has never been one who stays loyal to one and only vet but rather takes his dog to whatever place is open and available at the time that is convenient for him. Although now Athena will be a client of Wisdom Animal clinic from here on out. Thinking back on our experience there is just one thing that stood out to me the most about Wisdom animal clinic and that is the clinic itself. When you think of an animal clinic there is a certain wet dog smell that comes to mind. But truthfully it was so nice and clean and oddly smelled refreshing. The vets there and their staff truly care about you and your fur baby's needs. From this day on I will always speak highly of Wisdom Animal Clinic and suggest their business to any and all my friends! read more
