James did a very thorough inspection of the system top to bottom and fully advised us of its condition and although he said that it was ready to go he made some longer term recommendations that we should deal with next year when we get ready for the new cold weather. I feel that James did an excellent job and I will hire him back for future work and advice. Also he came expecting to clean the system and said that it didn't need it so we were happy with only being charged for the inspection which was very honest and reasonable.

didn't use torque plate to hone my block. took ten months for them to clean block. got charged for…read morecleaning heads that were never cleaned. block was not oiled when bagged. block is covered in rust. other blocks I saw that were ready for pickup were dripping with oil. ground valves and I never consented to this work. main studs are too long per the note that was stuck in a box that I found when I was unloading parts when I got home. I didn't want valves ground I wanted bigger valves installed. my total bill was 1010.70 only 100.00 in parts were used. I was charged 824.00 in labor. Ashley is a crook and doesn't do work that you ask for. my block sat from the first of September 2022 until may of 2023 until it was even touched. I went for 5 months without any contact with this place. main caps had to be installed by another shop. first engine they rebuilt for me leaks a quart of oil every 50 miles and engine has to be pulled from truck to fix it. I called to tell him I'm picking up my engine since they are not working on it so he scrambles to find more piddly work he can do to charge me more. drilling 6 holes for main caps and line boring main caps, honing block incorrectly by not using a torque plate, grinding valves and cleaning block cost 1010.70 unbelievable when 824.00 was labor. I got one valve seal back out of 16. the cost doesn't bother me as much as the sorry work that was or was not done. this place is a joke. if everyone else gets the same treatment as I have with 2 different engines a couple years apart I don't see how they are in business. Jeff's machine shop and especially Ashley will never get another penny from me ever.

That didn't happen... After 50 minutes or so I walked out front to make a call and within a few minutes he brought the car around front. Was I ever so disappointed... The $147 graphic ($98 for graphic plus $49 to laminate from Custom Vinyl Graphics) was lopsided and basically ruined. Where they allowed the graphic to touch the cars finish, it removed clear coat and paint. His answer was I can't be responsible for your old cars paint... Then made other negative remarks about the car not being new. This has ruined my wife's 23rd anniversary present and has her very upset. Their answer? Give him half off of the install... Will cost $200 (estimate from Kings) to have the paint fixed, $147 for a new graphic, not to mention the time it will take for all of this and loss of use of the car... No way to get it by our June 30th anniversary for sure. Contemplating small claims Court.
