We had noticed some dry rot on the exterior of our house. Sergey responded quickly to the request for an estimate, came to investigate, identified the work to be done, and gave a very reasonable estimated price. He sent a crew quickly before several days of expected rain to do some waterproofing work on the roof to avoid further water damage. Once the rain had passed, he sent his crew back out to repair the damaged areas and repaint. The repairs look great, and the final cost was only a little above the original estimate due to some unexpected work on one of our windows. read more

Last year we did a top-down remodel for my newly purchased condo in San Francisco. We replaced the carpet with hardwood floors, re-did the kitchen, completely renovated the bathroom with new everything, and repainted. Since Sergey felt the need to attempt to discredit my review, I'm going to let you know that he also tried to take down my review on Thumbtack (where I hired him) by claiming that he hasn't worked with me and calling me a liar. That failed, as I have plenty of paperwork and correspondence to show for it, and review got verified. All the "change orders" were the result of something supposedly ending up harder than he estimated, and he simply charged me extra after the fact, without worrying about my consent, and stopped the work if I didn't pay. The floor creaking I mentioned is at the entrance to the room, not in a corner of a closet, and I have not asked a refund for it. This type of fabrication is Sergey's defining trait, and I have more examples, which I won't bore you with. Every project has some risk, and if all these other reviews are real, you still got a decent chance of your project going well. However, before we could begin, my apartment was flooded and we had major repair work to do (drywall, ceiling, flooring, electrical, etc.). Sergey jumped on it and started scheduling folks same day. I was amazed at how quickly he got stuff done. We ended up back in our place in 2.5 months which, considering the amount of damage we had, was super impressive. I hired Sergey and his team to do a complete Bathroom and a partial Kitchen remodel. Having gotten quotes from multiple contractors, we settled on Sergey as his quote was reasonable, but more importantly he promised a quick turn around time. I admit, initially I did not believe the job would be done so quickly, and was mentally prepared for a 1.5X - 2X time factor. Not only did they finish the job within the promised time frame, I think they might have been a day or so early. However, that does not mean they did a shoddy job - in fact they strived for perfection in every aspect. For example, the vanity we ordered for the bathroom, had crooked angles as it hadn't been assembled properly. It was very minor and I was ok with it - however they decided to take their time to fix someone else's bad work before installing because 'it was not right'. This came through in every aspect of the job. The team that worked on our house was also very professional, always on time, and cleaned up after themselves everyday, unlike some other contractors I have worked with who leave the place as a war zone until the entire job is done. I am glad I found Wise Stage Remodeling and will be using them for all my future remodeling jobs, and would recommend them to everyone I know. read more
