The owner is terribly rude and entitled!! (As I'm sure you can tell from other reviews) I had been in the store for 30 seconds when a young child walking past the store screamed. The owner was in the phone at the counter and went running out to the sidewalk screaming that everyone needed to stop making sound. Someone on the street told her it was just a little kid and the owner replied that she didn't care and to shut them up because she's on the phone. I was so appalled!! I tried looking longer but I couldn't stand being near her. She doesn't deserve anyone's business. read more

Love the curated selection in this sweet spot in Manzanita. I wish the children's clothes, made with the most lovely cottons, could to be sized-up for adults!! Be sure to time your visit so the shop is open when you're there. The owner has the warmest smile and twinkly eyes on the coast. read more

I would leave zero stars if I could. Didn't have a chance to shop here. The woman at the counter was incredibly rude to my friend and our group. She made snarky, accusatory comments to us that were totally uncalled for. On my way out, she laughed at me when I said she didn't have to be rude to us. We were appalled at the horrible treatment, none of us in our 50+ years have ever experienced such poor treatment from a small business owner. She clearly didn't want our business. read more

I popped into Wisteria Chic with my sister-in-law - drawn in by what looked like some nice merchandise. However, we'd been in the store less than two minutes when I heard a booming voice yelling: "Ma'am! PUT that phone AWAY!" in a tone I wouldn't use on an unruly toddler - only to realize the owner (I assume the owner) was targeting my sweet, mellow SIL. I was appalled. (Here's the deal: there are signs asking not to photograph things in the store. Fine. My SIL hadn't seen the signs and wanted only to do some product content checking on something she was interested in.) She was swiftly given a dressing down by the owner that taking pictures is "illegal" (hmmm...against policy I get, but c'mon). When I responded with a "Wow" and expressed my opinion that talking to people (your customers!) that way certainly wasn't friendly (understatement) she responded with "Well, I rarely am (friendly)." Good to know. Good to know. We promptly walked out. No sales for her from me, ever. I was fuming for hours after this exchange. I am mystified as to why somebody whose livelihood depends on sales would treat her potential clients like the enemy (or criminals for that matter). "Wow" is absolutely right. read more

We are from Chicago & visiting friends who live on the Oregon coast. Total spent $97.00. Our friends bought an adorable toddler raincoat for $54.00. I bought 5 small clearance items for $43.00. Each item was 50% off. I was also going to purchase a $6 keychain but decided not to. I told the salesperson I decided not to get it and said I was putting it back. She told me my total was $49. No big deal, she just forgot to take off the $6 key chain. The issue arose when I told her my total should be $43. She waved her hands & said, You got me all confused when you decided not to buy the key chain. I patiently took each item, said the price while each item was in my hand explaining the total of $43. I wasn't upset until she waved her hands again & angrily said, okay, okay, just give me $43. Her tone suggested I was stealing from the store & just to get me out of there she would take $43. I lived in Seattle, WA for 30 years so I visit our friends there & in Oregon about 2x each year. I really like going to Manzanita OR & will visit but will never walk in the Wisteria store again. Just looking turned into a fun shopping experience. I am taking home some nice gifts I bought here with thoughts of early Christmas shopping. Love finding local made or just USA made at this point. The owner was pleasant, helpful, and made my surprise shopping a fun occasion. I will return to see what's new next summer on my return trip. read more

Sorry. Will have to pass on this shop next time. My special needs son and I were waiting out front for my wife. My sits right down when hes overwhelmed. I had him move to the side so he wasnt blocking the entrance to the store; and YES I saw your stupid sign. The owner comes out real rude and says to me " I have a sign here." We weren't even in the way, even though the sidewalk was completely block by other people but she didnt a word to them. In my opinion she could see my son was ASD and didnt like him in front of her store. One word describes this woman and it rhymes with witch. I immediately asked my wife not to buy there and leave. read more

Adorable shop!!! I loved everything in there. I bought a fun clock there, and drooled all over everything else. There are items like candles, baby clothes, fabric, pillows, fresh flowers, jewelry etc. The owner has some great taste. read more

Mostly this is a store directed at the female shopper but every time I've dropped by I've found items of interest for guys! The very helpful owner just added a line of growlers and other high quality beverage containers, hot or cold both. And I've become fond of the tall socks, manufactured by Vim&Vigr, that come in a nice choice of colors and patterns, and are very useful for those of us who need a little extra leg support. Many classy jewelry items too, so if you need to grab a gift for that important lady in your life, go for it! read more
