While doing physical therapy for my most recent shoulder surgery at the VA, I noticed their sign across the street and made the call. They saw me immediately. From that moment, everything changed. I've had countless massages over the years, none of which delivered the depth of relief I truly needed. As with other massage therapists in the past, I asked the therapist not to hold back--and unlike those in the past that approached me timidly, she didn't. What followed was the most effective, deeply therapeutic bodywork I've ever experienced. Her expert use of elbows and forearms targeted deep muscle layers with unmatched precision. For the first time in years, I felt my upper back and neck begin to release. When she reached the tension in my neck, I nearly wept--from sheer relief. And that's not something I say lightly. This is not your average massage clinic. These are highly trained professionals operating at a master level--and doing so with purpose. The waiting area is clean and roomy; with the aquarium as a special touch. Inside, the threrapy areas are clean and patient rooms are also very clean. SERVICE: I have been a patient/client/customer for over a decade. Initially due to an accident, and thereafter for chiropractic maintenance and massage. Dr. Jason and Dr. Tony are the best doctors. They have excellent bedside manners, very respectful and tells you like it is. They work well together and I would often hear them laughing in the office. Now, I bring my teenage son in for his maintenance. The office staff are also wonderful. Ms. Janel is always very professional, organize, and considerate. She always thinks of me whenever there's a cancellation because she knows my work schedule is complicated. And though the massage therapists changed overtime,right now, Ricardo's strong hands is just what I need. Unfortunately, he is only there on Thursdays but he does a really good job applying a good amount of pressure and beating my muscles into shape. Overall, my family love everyone here at Active Spine. It's easy to make appointments and reschedule. Paper work and insurance info are always updated by them and we don't ever have any problem collecting payment. Sorry to see Dr. Tony go, but Dr. Lopate and the staff are holding down the fort just fine. (Or didn't offer it to me) My face did not love the facials anymore and they always cost a ton of money- the same amount every time but she'd do different things. Back in March I went on a cruise and did acupuncture. It all but made the sciatic pain disappear (about 90%). When I returned I mentioned it to someone at work and found out that my insurance covers acupuncture as long as I go to an in network facility. I went to one and was unhappy with it. I then found this place. Florida Complete Wellness is located in the Publix shopping center on Volunteer Road. The door is a little hidden, but parking is easy. Pros: both drs are amazing! The rooms are clean and the doctors are friendly and caring. They have similar styles, so I feel comfortable seeing either one. This makes it easy to fit into my crazy schedule. They have amazing hours and I have been able to schedule on Saturday and Sunday. They know my benefit and in addition to the acupuncture, I am able to also get a massage as well (if I schedule same time). The massage therapist is also amazing and super friendly. Being able to walk and sit makes it all worth having to talk myself into needles (yes, I am super needle phobic). Cons: ZERO! This place ROCKS!
