The Portland area is so fortunate to have a great teacher like Mona. She truly understands the body and needs of each individual person and their goals. I wanted to strengthen my core as well as elongate my muscles. She works you hard, but in a good way. After each session I always felt grounded and taller ( I am 5' tall). As someone who has had years of ballet, I love how pilates is similar to the stretches and strength exercises of ballet.

She did NOT double and triple book my appointment, limit her time with me or hand me off to other staff. She asked all the right questions, read about my history, and reviewed prior imaging. She focused on me as "the whole patient," and she encouraged me more than once to ask for specific imaging from my reluctant physician. She helped me find my voice and gave me the confidence to advocate for myself. My insistence led to additional imaging and, finally, a diagnostic outcome I had been seeking for over three years.
