The price was so reasonable for the size of room compared to other hotels that are rated Four stars! The staff were kind and helpful! The food is amazing! We woke up in the morning to an awesome European continental breakfast !!! Delicious!!! Then walk right out to shops and people and the sounds of the church bells! We had dinner here as well right out front at the dining tables! Loved being a part of this little community!!! Shout out to Andreas and Tina who took care of us during or stay in Germany!!! During my stay in straubing I saw their head chef was hosting at their traditional German cusine restaurant a Thai night, we booked and went a coupon days later. The Thai menu was limited and surprisingly not a a single pad Thai dish or pineapple fried rice. Appetizer we had egg rolls which were good. Dinner I had the duck and hubby some curry with shrimp, veggies, and chicken. Both dishes came with white rice. Portions were generous and taste was not bad but it was not Thai at all, living in CA and having been to Thailand I know what Thai food taste like and this was not. Service was slow but cordial and prices not bad but if you want Thai food you might want to skip the future Thai night being hosted here.
