Staff was friendly but unengaged and not properly trained. Internet (unsecured public WiFi) is a catastrophy in term of speed/bandwidth and reliability (disconnects all the time). Staff did not offer any help or alternatives. The breakfast was okay, but far far from four stars. The rooms were modern and functional and clean, the lobby as well. wellness and sports areas were not tested by me, but they looked good. I will look for alternatives next time I visit Copenhagen.

However it is good for a group of people on a budget. The room had one twin sized bunk and a double sized bed underneath. Next to that was a twin sized mattress/cot. In total can fit about 3-4 people. The breakfast was decent for the price. I do not remember the exchange rate but it was 85 krones ( i think that's about $17CAD). There was an assortment of breads, coldcut meats, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, and juice. The front desk lady was very kind and helpful. She helped us with the takeout menu to a near by delivery place for dinner (menu was in Danish). Overall a decent place for brief stays.

So this adventure was my first time out of the country. My whole family along with 7k other…read moredelegates swarmed into Copenhagen, Denmark, for an international convention. This was one of the hotel we could choose from. The decor was simple Scandinavian but very comfortable. They provided a smorgasbord of tasty treats and delicious coffee. The staff was exceptional and as helpful as they could be. Pricing was fair. As to be expected in most European countries the room are very small in comparison to rooms in the states. What is can tell you is if you travel over seas pack light , a carry on and maybe a small bag. Not a lot of room for large luggage The room we shared with our two teenage kids had bunk bards and a queen bed. Let's go there with the water. You can actually drink right from the faucet and it's quite tasty.(if y'all from Cali y'all know that impossible with out a water treatment system) With that being said the showers were amazing. Hot soft water. No complaints from me. This is a hotel I would stay at again with no hesitation. Side note: as delicious as breakfast was would have loved some type of crepe or waffles....

This particular ZZleep Hotel is the stuff of nightmares. I…read morethink that it's called "Zleep Hotel" because occupants constantly mutter "this is NOT happening, I am NOT really here..." This 'hotel' could be described at best, as "the nicest possible detention center" that one can hope to find whilst jailed for an offence. It really feels like nothing so much as a holding cell. If you arrive by train at night- it's impossible to find- UNLESS you act on a hunch that the single word HOTEL in the distance means "Zleep Hotel" IF you happen to find your way there accidentally, through the empty mall with no signage- you are halfway there. Enjoy this period of time where you have not endured Zleep Hotel, you will never have it again. On the barren 8th floor is the ONE automated check-in device, The Kiosk... IF you arrive behind travelers who are not able to navigate The Kiosk, settle in for a long wait. I arrived to find a couple who were befuddled and talking on the phone with customer service who were trying to walk them through the check in process. They took to it about as well as a civilian who's been drafted to land a 747 while getting guided instructions from the air tower: TOWER: "wait until the vertical guidance indicator begins to move and only then do you switch from NAV hold to APR hold! Do you copy..?" CIVILIAN: "Wait, what?" I paced for what felt like an hour in this hot, 8th floor lobby. Then I sat down and then paced some more and eventually at some point- the glitch was sorted out and the couple was able to push off to their own specific depressing room. In fairness--I have no idea if Zleep Hotel screwed up or if this elderly couple had never seen a kiosk before. I just know that having only one check in kiosk is a fixable oversight. The kiosk plans exist already. Also, The 8th floor check in lobby has nothing in it but ennui--there is no furniture to move. There is not even a seat. Just the lingering scent of depression, regret and prior frustration. My room was the single most depressing structure I have seen in my life (barring something from World War II that I do not want to reference here.) There's no A.C., a tile floor that's not stylish enough for a coroner and lighting that somehow manages to cast everything in a creepy glow. I imagine that there's only one thing worse- finding oneself locked in this room unable to leave. I fled in the a.m. without formally checking out by interacting with the kiosk or e-mailing or snap-chatting or tweeting at them with my full anger and I ate the cost of a 2nd night rather than stay in Zleep Hotel a minute longer. On a productive note- and I am serious here: If you have teens who are high maintenance, self absorbed, not yet self sufficient- book a flight to Denmark, put them on a train to Ishoj and book them into to Zleep Hotel Ishoj for one night. The cell-like room without even a phone for emergencies? The non-working heat? The non-working shower? The horrible breakfast for $12 USD a night? I think the capper was when I came back from breakfast three days ina row to find that the maid had left the door to my room unlatched. The first two days I complained in a friendly way to the management. the third day my complaint was not friendly at all... so when I returned to my floor I was accosted by the maid, screaming at me saying I was trying to get her fired. No, lady, I just want you to do your job. Suffice it to say I will not be staying here again, nor do I recommend that anyone else do so. I am giving it one star because Yelp will not allow me to give it any less.

Quite a few years ago I stayed here for the first time and it was a really shabby hotel then with a…read moreroom with neither a/c nor windows you could open which led to an incredibly hot, sleepless night. Unfortunately my new impression, after a recent renovation, isn't much better. The room we got was incredibly small and with FOUR beds jammed in. And therefore no room for bedside tables. The bathroom was flooded after a shower. There was a fan (?) outside our window that was incredibly noisy with regular intervals up until midnight. The vegan breakfast selection is practically non-existent. And if you want pancakes as a grown up you will be busted by the pancake nazi in the breakfast room. Seriously. And I just can't get over that horrific liquid they call orange juice. Shouldn't think so, The pros: good wifi, lovely wallpaper feature in the room and a nice view over a lush allotment garden area. A very expensive stay that lacked a lot in quality obviously. Not very likely to return no.
