This is an issue, not a report on reporters if you were to go to Aldi's food store, they separate their good and bad food. I bet the one in private Smith Street and then you go to the one in Johnston or the one in Cranston and let's just say you buy strawberries the ones in Providence I have bad most times they won't last you more than a week. I've always watched wjar. They are my go to station despite having bad reporters. Particularly Dan Jahig. But he went over the top tonight when he got angry at another reporter who mentioned his name regarding winter storms. He came back with don't call it winter storm Dan I have enough crap going on around here. Very unprofessional. I've learned to tolerate his mumbling over words but this is it. Barbara Silva is absolutely obnoxious. Her presence as an anchor is so transparently phony. Every day she is on at noon, I cringe when she reports the stock market. Does she know what a "mixed bag" is? She reads the Dow and NASDAQ status but ignores the S&P 500 every day. The S&P 500 IS THE BROAD MARKET INDICATOR! As a heartfelt tribute ran on live tv for a Marine Veteran's dedication to run this up coming 2019 New York Marathon as he did heroically in Boston's 2019 Marathon all in memory of his fallen military comrades, and for a journalist that was killed in the Middle East (Terrific Story of selfless service), the live camera had cut back early to News anchors Jeff Saperstone & Katherine Underwood. Both news anchors were completely remove from the tribute and were locked into their cell phones as they look down, and showed no interest as if the coverage was apathetic while at the desk. A true reflection and a poor one at that to show no regard for a heartfelt news piece done by Katelyn Flint as it was shown to viewers. Again, a heartfelt story of Marine Veteran Micah Herndon! Why be a news anchor or journalist if you can't show regard in a "The Moment" of tribute. Especially one you call "special". The behind the scene, caught- of-guard moment really took away from Flint's great story and inadvertently showed their lack of regard for the story. Crawl messages across bottom of screen seem to interrupt programing more and more often. If they cannot be streamed during commercials instead they should not be used. Most viewers pay high cable bills in order to view their favorite programs only to have them ruined by these announcements. read more

Very sad about the three young men who lost their lives in the recent car crash. Speeding and weather were factors and perhaps alcohol. Hello, Mama's family is an adult program and should be changed to a later time. My children were looking for Gilligan's Island and I found it came on at 9:30 pm, which is past their bedtime. Both programs are great and my husband and I like them both. Both are also funny.6:pm is too early for Mama's family and my family. That is news time. We have more than 1 television, so if you just switched the two programs around, that would make my family happy. the children could watch silly Gilligan and we could watch the other one when the children are in bed. This is the number one station in R.I. I enjoy watching and listening to Joe K. doing his sports segments. I enjoy the investigation reporting on politicians questionable doings, the general fund of R.I. constant rip-offs of the taxpayers. I only have one question-when you ask the governor a question, why does it always seem she is answering a totally different question that sounds more like a campaign ad? Ask her questions like "When will the computers start working?-How many people have you hired since taking office?, or why did not use that ad campaign from a doctor in R.I. for free, instead of paying all that money to an out-of-state agency? Local news is so weak as to be laughable. From sour faced and whiny Katie Davis to the other newscasters, it is not worth watching.

I miss seeing wreather man Art Lake, i have met some of the employees from WJAR before, but i enjoyed watching this news station.
