All good. Not the best experience but I've got cold air again But I'd shop around if you have time

Originally passed them by for my lake house as their web site listed Maytag as their main supplier. A friend told me the had switched to Ruud so I called them and indeed they were currently installing Ruud (not my first choice but not on my will not buy list). Honest discussion about which unit/seer rating would best meet my needs and options available. They showed up on time, installed the unit in two hours (their estimate was 4 hrs) and left no trace of being there. Could not have asked for a better experience - Hope to say the same thing a few years down the road ;) read more

We had a air handler that was not working two years ago and they fixed it quickly. Our technician even went to Houston to personally pick up a part to speed the repair along! I was very pleased with their work! read more

My A/C went out in August 2021 and as any Texan knows, that can be UNHEALTHY. I contacted the office at WC Air Conditioning and they sent over a technician pronto. Suffice to say, the home warranty on my 4 year old system (selected & installed by a builder) wasn't worth the trouble and extensive time to remedy my situation in the August heat and humidity. I decided to go with Wolf Creek's recommendations and within 48 hours a new Ruud system was expertly installed. I also purchased their service agreement to continue close monitoring of my new system throughout the year. Peace of mind for sure. I am continually impressed by the customer service offered by this company. We bought our AC unit from them 9 years ago and they do the routine maintenance yearly. This past weekend we had a large group at our Lakehouse when the AC stopped cooling around 6pm on a Friday night. I called the after hours technician and was promised someone would be out that night, they just couldn't give an exact time due to a couple of calls ahead of mine. Chris showed up within 45 minutes and had the AC cooling in no time. I appreciate their dedication to loyal customers. I know I can trust this company and will never use anyone else. Last night I called to report that our heater was not functioning in the craft barn. This was critical as I had guests scheduled to arrive by 10am today. Had my daughter call them for her AC. I will give them this - they came out in a few hours and it was late in the evening. However, the technician told my daughter that it was her fan motor, the blade was bent, and it would have to be ordered because he had never seen that brand. He told her it would be 5-7 days before he could get the part in and get the AC fixed. We didn't call our usual AC guys because they've been going through some sickness. The next day my daughter called our usual guys, who actually installed the system, and explained what had happened. They were there within 30 minutes, and indeed it is the fan motor, but it is not at all unusual and can be purchased in Houston, an hour away. Upshot is the AC will be fixed in one day, two at the outside. My daughter called the first tech and told him not to order the part, that someone else was fixing it. Then the tech had the nerve to come back to my daughter today and charge $88 for a service call. Again, I get that they came out at night, but this is ridiculous. He told her that it was odd and had to be ordered from overseas and would be a week to fix, all of which is not true. So I think the service call could have been cut to maybe 40-50 bucks at the very highest. He also told her that the company we use is phasing out - also not true - and that she'd be calling him again. How unprofessional. He was wrong about the AC and he was definitely wrong about us ever calling Wolf Creek again. read more

I usually don't write reviews. But I was pleasantly surprised by this company. I own a few rental houses in Coldspring, TX and Point Blank, TX. I'm usually concerned when a tenant calls about Air Conditioner issues because I don't trust AC repair people because most of the time i get the "need a new unit", or "compressor is shot, get a new one". And they wan to install it for a few grand. Not this time. They showed up a couple of hours after the call. It was a simple wire that needed to be changed. They only charged me the $88 service call fee. I appreciate that honesty. You have my business now. Thank you. read more

I used to be a repeat customer here. This summer when water started pouring out of my attic into my house, I called Wolf Creek Air Conditioning. I knew I'd had good service 3 years earlier. This time was a different ball game. The service technician had obviously had a long hot day working and I'm sure spending any time in my cramped 100+ degree heat was not going to be pleasant. But that's his job and why I called him. After what seemed like only 2-3 minutes he reappeared only to inform me that it could not be fixed, the entire system HAD to be replaced. He wasn't able to give me a precise quote for a new system yet but guessed about $7000-$8000. I again asked if he was sure that there was no possible way to fix it, even temporarily. "Nope. Can't be done." he said. Then he proceeded to spout out a lot of information about how it was against the law to replace only certain parts of this and that and the entire system has to be replaced at one time. I didn't have $7000 to order a new system so I paid the man his $85.00 service charge and sent him on his way. After replaying the odd service call in my head several times I decided to give another company a call. This service technician seemed to have no problems repairing the problems in my attic. He said that it was not an easy fix but it was very fixable, and he was unaware of any laws that would prevent him from repairing it. I'm just sorry I wasted Wolf Creek's time, not to mention the $85.00 for what was a very short service call. read more
