Pros: great access to trails, offers observation decks for star gazing, modern and clean facilities, friendly staff, serves wonderful food. Dormitories have plenty of common area rooms to spread out. There are full size and dormitory size refrigerators available to keep food cold. Also lots of cabinets and storage available to keep shelf stable food and drinks. Very ideal setting for group retreats/gatherings. Cons: minimal sound insulation in dormitories. You can easily hear noise from above and from the rooms next door when you're trying to sleep - especially troublesome if you're staying on the bottom level. Bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper! Cost is a bit more when compared to other environmental learning centers in the state. read more

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Wolf Ridge ELC this summer. The course selection was varied, and appropriate for all ages. My wife and I, and our 4 kids (7,14,17,20) all had a blast. The hikes and nature experiences were both educational, fun, and family oriented. The kids quickly made friends, and my wife and I met many nice families from all over. The counselors and guides are all well informed, enthusiastic, and accommodating. read more
