I was out doing my gig side hustle when I found this spot. They have a huge parking lot and nice shaded area in the back of the restaurant if you want to eat out doors. The day I went it was warm and so was the interior. I was greeted by a nice lady that took my order. I order hot dogs and a root beer. The tomatoes were diced which isn't a deal breaker because you can get some in every bite. The fries were the let down for me, overdone and just meh. The food was absolutely delicious, exactly what you'd expect & hope to find at an authentic family owned burger joint in the Chicagoland area. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The lady seen my dog waiting for me outside so she treated her to a little pup-cup and a bowl of water. I found that very generous and sincere. Especially because the dog and I was just finishing up a 2 mile walk. As for the environment, I did see they have a patio in the back that was very clean . The inside of the place was very clean. Overall, I'm not from this area but I can definitely see myself driving 20 minutes just to come here to eat. I personally love supporting the family owned businesses because it's evident they truly appreciate you coming to them. They don't treat you like an order. They want your food to be good and served with pride. If you're not familiar with this place, I strongly recommend you visit. I ordered the Chicago-style hot dog and chili dog. The hot dogs were boiled and both were served on generic non-toasted buns. The Chicago style includes all the essential ingredients. My least favorite dog was the chili dog. The chili does not look very appetizing. I'm positive that it's not homemade because of the incorrect color and texture. Its basic cheese sauce was standard. Food is good here, quite a variety when the last few times I came here, I got a chicken sandwich, fries, and, of course, a hot dog. I think they put too much diced tomatoes (made it a bit soggy) but it's a good hot dog nonetheless. Fries are slightly soggy but tasty (to me). People here are fairly friendly and work efficient. Always worthy for a tip. Always went over 20%. More than the Park Ridge McDonald's can ever dream about. Only bad thing is their short business hours. Otherwise, not big on eating in, kind of place, just like 5 or 6 at most, I think. But plenty of parking, but it's gravel, so don't walk here with your high heels or Oxford shoes. I am rooting for them but went there today and there were 2 ladies working withe no customers in line I waited 10 minutes for her to take my order she looked at me at least three times and never came to ask me if I wanted to order. Came here for the first time with my dad after we saw the big OPEN sign on their truck on the corner or the parking lot. It's our first time here, but we'll definitely be back. Inside lobby is closed so you have to order through the pickup window, but food came out pretty quickly. Dad ordered the Old World Polish Sausage meal which he said was cooked perfectly and juicy. I got the Krabby Patty which was yummy and filling, with the krabby patty nice and crispy. They had 8 tables outside under 2 big umbrellas so we had a nice meal in the shade. I was told about their burgers from my bro and had to make the trek over to try them out, and I'm glad I did. Not only are the burgers amazing, they are a GREAT value at 6 bucks for a combo. Here you get a double cheeseburger, 2 1/4lb patties with cheese and an amazing bun. Yes I said BUN! The bun isike a sweetened potato bun/pretzel roll and it really has flavor, I loved it. The burger was cooked perfectly and another one of my favorites, crinkle cut fries cooked perfect and crunchy. I left very full and my wallet full too, great food great value and don't forget to get GRILLED ONIONS on the burger, they are carmelized sweet amazing onions. 3 stars for a great Burger 1 extra star for that damn Bun (hehe, Buns) 1 extra star for overall value. read more

In the area again last year we found your place again and we're sorry you were closed. Passed by today and made it a point to stop by for a dog and fries to bring home. Kudos to your adding a drive-thru. Location and Look: Let's face when it comes to location this place is perfect as it close to the High School, Middle School, Elementary School, and the Park District. It's clear that the owners care about this location as it has been completely remodeled and done very clean! They also have a drive through which is nice when you are trying not to freeze or get wet. Cost: When it comes to cost, it's not really cost effective in comparison to other locations that offer a similar menu in the area. Food: When it comes to the food, it's edible. Nothing short of amazing. Definitely doesn't suck, but also doesn't have me craving them. The wait time after you order is long, even when no other customers are there, but then again I would rather wait for food that is well cooked than worry that it wasn't cooked well enough. Now when it comes to their menu, I've have had: Chicken Burger-the chicken burger like someone else said was dry. It had minimal flavor. Hot Dogs- It's a hot dog, you can't really do hot dogs wrong and while it smells amazing, the taste is good. It's the one thing I would order again. I pulled up to the drive thru and before I can read the sign a lady comes to the window to tell me walk up window only. It's what the sign said after I read it. OK so I go find a place to park which wasn't an easy thing. Pretty bad parking there. Walked up to the window and ordered a sweet tea and a menu. The same lady tells me no menus. I'm like "wow no drive thru, no menus" as I'm looking at a nice menu taped to the counter. I wasn't nasty about it either and the nasty woman says "we are adding stuff to the menu so we don't have any and drive thru is only for the winter now do you still want that tea"? I was pretty shocked that a new place can be that rude. I also noticed their ice cream machine wasn't working. I love places like this and I love hot dogs but I will NEVER go back to this place again. You can't even go inside to order. The only tables they have are outside in the back. I finally tried this place today. I'll make this short but try to give a good overview. Location: plenty of parking, drive through available. The place: Only seating available are stools in the winter but they have an outdoor section for the nicer weather. The stools are fine, you can watch the train go by. It was clean and white and plain inside. Food: I ordered the hot dog special. The fries were the crinkle type and were just slightly browned, crunchy and good. They're not fresh cut but certainly will satisfy a fry need. The dogs are Vienna, the slightly fatter ones. The toppings and bun were good; I like the diced tomato-easier to handle. No celery salt-but I didn't ask either. If I were to change anything I'd make the dog slightly warmer. The drink was fine. Pepsi products.-I wish the cups could be recycled. I decided to try this place out. I got a cheese burger and a hot dog, figured that would be enough to tell me what I needed to know about this place. I wanted to like it, it's about a mile from my house and whenever I drove by I thought hey we should try them soon. The hamburger was pretty inedible. It had this brown goop coming out of it that I originally thought was BBQ sauce but I think it was just grease. I'm not against a greasy burger, I had two bites of this sandwhich and decided I wasn't that hungry. The hot dog was better than the burger. It wasn't great but it was edible. New place that just opened up in Des Plaines and I have to say I am impressed!! Really tiny but cute spot for the summer with your typical hot dog joint menu. I stopped by at 7:50, they close at 8:00 so I couldn't try the hot dogs but I did order a chicken sandwich and cheese fries. So delicious! They put a secret sauce on the chicken sandwich that adds a nice kick. The bread is delicious and possibly Hawaiian bread? I'm not good at naming my breads. Anyway they were pretty crowded for being new. A bunch of families picking up soft serve. My two suggestions, prices for the chicken sandwich seemed a tiny bit inflated but nonetheless worth it and the parking lot is kind of a nightmare... Incredibly confusing.
