The food was absolutely delicious, exactly what you'd expect & hope to find at an authentic family owned burger joint in the Chicagoland area. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The lady seen my dog waiting for me outside so she treated her to a little pup-cup and a bowl of water. I found that very generous and sincere. Especially because the dog and I was just finishing up a 2 mile walk. As for the environment, I did see they have a patio in the back that was very clean . The inside of the place was very clean. Overall, I'm not from this area but I can definitely see myself driving 20 minutes just to come here to eat. I personally love supporting the family owned businesses because it's evident they truly appreciate you coming to them. They don't treat you like an order. They want your food to be good and served with pride. If you're not familiar with this place, I strongly recommend you visit. I'm born and raised in Chicago, this is an authentic Chicago burger joint in my opinion

I ordered the Chicago-style hot dog and chili dog. The hot dogs were boiled and both were served on generic non-toasted buns. The Chicago style includes all the essential ingredients. My least favorite dog was the chili dog. The chili does not look very appetizing. I'm positive that it's not homemade because of the incorrect color and texture. Its basic cheese sauce was standard. Their hot dogs are average overall.

Came here for the first time with my dad after we saw the big OPEN sign on their truck on the corner or the parking lot. It's our first time here, but we'll definitely be back. Inside lobby is closed so you have to order through the pickup window, but food came out pretty quickly. Dad ordered the Old World Polish Sausage meal which he said was cooked perfectly and juicy. I got the Krabby Patty which was yummy and filling, with the krabby patty nice and crispy. They had 8 tables outside under 2 big umbrellas so we had a nice meal in the shade. Service at the window was friendly, with the cashier wearing a mask. Can't wait to come back and try other items on the menu!

Here are the things that take RRH to the top of my list: 1. Convenient drive through service. You don't need to exit your vehicle to eat there. 2. They will char your dog on the flat top grill they use for the it grilled onions for the Maxwell St. polish. 3. 4 mini supreme tamales instead of one large tamale. Same amount by weight, a lot easier to eat while on the road! 4. And the thing that really sells it for me-the hand cut fries are cooked in BEEF TALLOW! The next two are either positives or negatives, depending on your POV. I've never used these options, but: 5. They accept credit cards, albeit for a 3% surcharge 6. Ketchup is available BY REQUEST ONLY! I have a feeling you will get shamed if you have the palate of an eight year old and ask for it on you dog, and there are squirt bottles available if you eat on sit and wish to dip your fries, although they are so good plain, "red mustard" as one social media presenter calls ketchup, is not needed.

A chocolate cone as a treat, and sometimes a shake. They are always super nice and fast! The food is fresh and made to order. There's lots of seating inside and outside. And, it's always sparkling clean! CharDog-This hotdog is absolutely perfect! I savor every last bite of it. It's a Vienna Beef hotdog. So, it's the real deal. It's not the traditional Chicago dog. So, don't expect that. This hotdog is juicy, smokey, and charred with a bold beef flavor. Loaded with mustard, sports peppers, relish, and onions. On a nice plush bun. I personally get it without onions. And, it's heavenly! Chocolate Cone-If you're in the mood for a creamy, dreamy, and delicious cone. Then, make sure to get this! The chocolate is nutty and bold. I love this tasty treat. It brings me so much joy! I every now and then will treat myself to this family sized cone. And, I happily finish every last lick of this. So, next time you see Rand Red Hots. Make sure to stop here! You won't regret it!

It was almost 11pm (they're open until 2am on Fridays.) and there were at least a dozen other vehicles in their drive-in stalls. Ordered their specialties, a Superdawg and Whoopskidawg with Superfries, Chocolate Super Malt and Black Kows. Service was fast and friendly at 11pm on a Friday. We were eating in our rental car in apx 10 min. It was cool to eat outside on a warm July night in a classic, 1950s style drive-in. The food was excellent, flavorful and fresh. I normally avoid krinkle cut fries because they are usually frozen and mushy or mealy. Not Superfries. These fresh cut fries were practically fried mashed potatoes. We loved them! The drinks were perfect. The Black Kows is basically a root beer float and served with an extra root beer "sidecar." Our only complaints were about errors with the garnishes. We specifically said we wanted all the garnishes on both dawgs and they only gave us the standard grilled onions on the Whoopskidawg and forgot the sport peppers on the Superdawg. Otherwise we loved everything. We might go back next week (before we fly home) because I really want to try their Whoopercheesie Burger and maybe a Supersundae. (Menu Descriptions/Prices) Superdawg Not a wiener - not a frankfurter - not a red hot - but our exclusive... Superdawg™. On a poppy seed bun, we tenderly place the loveliest, juiciest creation of pure beef hot dog (no pork, no veal, no cereal, no filler), formally dressed with all the trimmings, escorted by our often imitated, but never equaled, Superfries™. Served with all the trimmings - golden mustard, tangy piccalilli, kosher dill pickle, chopped Spanish onions and a memorable hot pepper. $9.30 Whoopskidawg Our char-broiled version of a Romanian, Hungarian, Polish sausage; basted in our special sauce, and served on a Whoopskiroll™, with grilled onion and a pickle. $12.05 Superfries For extra pleasure an extra measure of Superfries™. $4.35 or $6.95 - Try 'em with cheese! Supermalts and Supershakes A full pint of smooth creamy refreshment so thick we put straws in them only to prove that you can't draw them through. (We will gladly thin them down, if you prefer them that way.) Flavors: double rich chocolate, mellow vanilla, real-fruit strawberry or pineapple. $5.80 - Regular $7.10 - Large Black Kows A beverage--a dessert--a snack. Chunks of ice cream floating in a foamy sea of root beer. You can drink it. You can eat it. You can do both at once. $6.20
