No body to my knowledge was Taking greedy portions. Just simply wanted to eat later because of how early it was in the morning. If staying in clairmont with a large group I suggest the ramada 200 meters away as they are more accommodating and grateful to the people supporting their buisness.

My company uses this hotel a lot.. but this was my first experience. There was lots of parking available, and most spots, if not, appeared to be energized parking spots. The check in process was quick and painless. The lady at the desk explained where everything was and I was on my way. The room was laid out in a pretty standard way. It was a business suite and included a sitting area with arm chairs, TV, microwave, bar fridge, sink, and coffee maker. There was a desk with a lamp, and the bedroom had a full dresser, two night stands, AMAZING bed, closet, ironing board and iron. Oh, and a TV of course. If I had one wish, it would be that there would be more plug ins around the room. Breakfast is provided and is more than your standard continental spread. You can make toast, bagels, there's a waffle station, cereal with cold milk, pastries, yogurt... and a different selection of hot food each day. The first day was scrambled eggs and home fries, the second day was cheese omelettes and and little dollar hashbrowns. The first day was much yummier than the second. OH! I almost forgot the coolest part. When I was checking out, I made a joke about trying to get the bed into my car so I can take it with me. And you can actually purchase the same mattresses for an INCREDIBLE price. Call the hotel for details. I was pretty blown away by this. And of course... free wifi with good signal throughout the hotel. Reasons for the slight decrease in stars: 1) The lights flicker for a while when you first flip the switch. Not just a little. 2) the CN Rail track is very close... it woke me up a couple of times the first night. luckily, the bed and pillows are SO comfortable, that I got back to sleep right away. 3) the hotel is only 6 years old, but the elevator sounds and feels like it's 20 years old. But all that together, when compared to all the good, was only worth one star. Highly recommended!

I have been flying regularly through this airport for many years and have never had a problem with…read morethem.. They have been through many expansions and improvements to keep up with growing demand, but I think some more expansion is in order. When one lands, the arrivals hall and baggage carousels are the same thing. So you get people waiting for the plane to land, plus the people who just landed, and all trying to catch luggage coming by. This creates a bit of a crowd where you have to be on your guard for flying elbows and arms as baggage is lifted off the belt.. Check in is usually a breeze here. Many of the employees have been there a long time and theres nothing better than having them recognize you and remember your flight preferences etc. It really speeds up the process too. The bathrooms are maintained relatively clean, but are woefully too small.. One often has to line up to use the facilities and its very cramped in there.. One thing I have consistently noticed over the years with the mens restrooms, is that while they are semi-clean, they ALWAYS smell like backed up sewage. Either that or a gang of howler monkeys with irritable bowl syndrome had just been through there to fling their feces at the walls. Other than that, its definitely an airport I would recommend (not that one has a choice considering how remote GP is and the only other real alternative is a long drive!)

The check in was quick with 2 AC staff at the counter and the suitcase drop off was simple and the staff was friendly. I found there was ample seating for people before entering the security area. There's a restaurant upstairs but I didn't check it out. The washrooms are clean and enough stalls so there's no line up. There's also a security guard who is pushing the luggage carts out of the way and ensuring the airport is clean too. Once you get past security, there is a lot of seating and I didn't feel like cramped. There are vending machines and additional washrooms too. There's even a tv which is nice. I also used the free wifi and it was reliable and quick. As with other airports, you do have to walk outside to the plane and I was glad it wasn't freezing cold out.

The have a small pool, hot tub, fitness area and the complimentary breakfast along with wifi throughout the property. The rooms were well laid out and very functional...and I loved the bed. Even thought there is a highway just out front of the property, you could not hear the traffic. The staff were very attentive and professional. It was a positive accommodation experience and happy to recommend Hampton Inn & Suites if in Grande Prairie and looking for a place to stay.

They could have saved us all time and done their jobs while we booked the hotel on the phone with them hours before. They did give us some water while we waited tho.
