You will need reservation on weekends. They have a big cast iron grill pan at center of table, it is all you can eat. Best to order your items all at one time so it my be a wait when it is busy. The servers will put food to be cooked on grill and cook it for you, it seem like fast pace where you cannot enjoy your dinner. Didn't like when server put raw chicken on grill when there were cooked food on it. The meats were lack of seasoning. They have other soups to try included. The ambiance is nice, while it does feel a bit like a Korean night club with the K-Pop on every tv it doesn't distract from the experience. The service is top notch and the wait staff is very attentive to the table and its needs. The food is insanely delicious and while I was shocked that pre selected dipping sauces and banchan it still worked amazing. They give you a large list of meats, veggies, soups to pick from. They bring a proper portion for the table size and they will even ask if you would like more or less in case you feel they got it wrong. They got it right every time and they cook it for you table side on the lid like grill on top of a high flame. Went for my birthday with family, I'm the only one who has ever experienced Korean food before and yet everyone enjoyed the amazing flavors of the meat, the natural flavors were so great they barely used the dipping sauces outside of trying a piece here and there just to see how it affects the taste. Gotta love grandma's being sneaky and telling the waitress it's your birthday. The celebration they put on is top notch. 10/10 would recommend everyone to try this place out. I've been to the bayside Won bbq (previously O2 bbq) many times and have been waiting for this carle place branch to open. Initial thoughts were why is this one a few dollars more than the bayside one? Usually, things in LI are less expensive than NYC. But there's easy parking here, so for a Friday/weekend dinner, it's much more about convenience, and we had to give it a try. This branch is much larger, nicer. Reservations were very easy to make either through Google or Yelp. Our table was ready when we arrived. The servers were friendly and attentive. They cooked the food for us, which I loved. Usually at kbbqs (esp. ayce), they start cooking for us, but then it gets busy, and I would have to cook at least some of the food myself. We were here from 630 until 8, and they cooked everything for us. They asked us if we wanted refills many times, and most importantly...the quality of the meats stayed the same!!!(unlike nearby kpot where 2nd orders of meat always comes fattier or less fresh) We loved all the meats, esp #17 marinated kalbi. All the sides were great, although the steamed egg was way too salty. Everything else was well seasoned. Portions for sides are small, but that's okay since most people are here for the meats. You can always order more. Everything was fresh. Children under 3.5 ft are free. Under 4 ft are half price. Pricey for a 5-6 yr old who falls in this height range, esp since they never eat more than a noodle. There's no dessert included. Dessert is extra, a la carte. That has always been my complaint with Won bbq. The bayside branch is like this also. It's really a pet peeve of mine. Just give oranges at the end or something! My star rating legend: 5: A+ Worth a special journey (ie. I like the addition of ramen and udon and I will have to say that the kimchijigae is really good. The egg souffle always seems to have a hint of a burn taste to it. Real KBBQ on Long Island is a bit hard to find, so I was happy to try Won KBBQ. We went on a weeknight and were seated pretty soon after we arrived. The tray of sauces and some banchan were already on the table. The menu was a little tricky to figure out, but our server explained that basically we should start off with three meats and add as we went along. We had thin sliced brisket, bulgogi, and marinated kalbi to start. The steamed egg was good, and the soft tofu soup was also nice and warm on a chilly night. They had japchae, mandu, and other side dishes available on the menu, so you can stave off the hunger while you wait for the meat to cook. The servers cook the meat for you, which is nice since no one on the table has to suffer cooking instead of eating. However, our table was all the way in the corner & we found the server wasn't able to pay too much attention, resulting in some of the meat burning. They were also handling the meat a little haphazardly. I'm not super picky, but they threw on raw chicken and pork with the same tongs and scissors that would touch the already-cooked food. At least for chicken, I would expect a safer handling of food. Overall, a lot of the "KBBQ" around LI are not really Korean. They try to mimic what they think Korean BBQ is. I felt the Won BBQ beef and pork selections were pretty authentic. Is it the highest quality? No. But you're not going to an AYCE for premium quality. Meats weren't in bad condition, and the marinades were not too sweet or salty. I would come back to try it again. read more

Very authentic and great quality meats. For real korean bbq i recommend this place. It is a bit pricey in comparison to other offerings but i think it is worth it. You walk in and the tables are already set with sides and water. Kpop music vidoes playing everywhere. You sit down, and they start up the grill. You scan the menu and decide what sides and meats you want. All the sides come ready to eat to your table. The meats come and the server actually prepares the meats on the grill for you. You don't have to do any of the work, you just get to sit back and enjoy. They will kindly tell you when the meats are ready to eat too. We ordered most steaks, and they would tell us the wellness of the steaks and tell us when to grab them off the grill in accordance to our preferences. I really appreciated that cause my one concern about going to do it yourself grills, is not cooking the meats correctly, whenever other meats like chicken or pork are involved. So i felt really good and safe about enjoying everything. I definitely recommend the tender hanger steak, bulgogi, steamed eggs, and dumplings. But honestly everything we tried was excellent! We were there for lunch and opted for the $28.95/person so we have more meat options. We tried pork belly, marinated chicken, pork steak, beef thin brisket and beef bulgogi. We only liked the pork belly and the beef thin brisket and the marinated meats weren't as tasty. They unlimited sides were really good. The service was ok because we had to wait for awhile to get our food cooked so I just did it. Also our server didn't remove the cooked meat and just put the raw chicken to cook (cross-contamination). The restaurant is nice but it was so cold and one of the servers who came back from break smelled like cigarettes. Excellent food in a lively bustling atmosphere. Good ventilation given the smoke that is generated from the Korean bbq cookers, and the quality of the meats is superb. The service is very attentive and the waiters also serve as mini-chefs coming by to ensure the food is not getting burnt or cutting it into more manageable pieces. You get a plethora of ban chan (various sides) which are high in quality as well. This is much more of a "true" ktown style Korean bbq experience given the type of service, staffing model, and plethora of meats and sides. Will return! read more

Came on a weekday for lunch, surprisingly there were decent amount of customers. The restaurant itself is spacious and clean. We chose lunch B which includes most of the items we are interested in. The appetizer dumplings come in an order of 4 and are not flavorful, but the BBQ meats and veggies are pretty good. Things that possibly can be improved: When you order, the waitresses/waiters just remember by heart, when they get busy, they may not remember everything you order. If they forget, just need to remind them. May be better to write the orders down or order via iPads. Great food and service, but the plates aren't cleaned very well. It has happened quite a few times I've been here where there's old food stuck on the edge of the plate or spoon. It's a bit expensive but I don't mind it for the great food and quality of meats, but those plates and spoons really need to be cleaned better. As for kids, this is the kicker. It's way too expensive to be paying about $22 for a little kid. The price for the kid is based on height. I have a pretty tall 4 year old. They have tons of delicious and traditional Korean banchan (aka side dishes), and yall.... their house dipping sauce is TO DIE FOR. Seriously.. if you guys wanna slide me the recipe, I would literally pay money for it. Their meats are great quality, visibly super fresh, and super tender! HIGHLY recommend the pork jowl, the brisket, and the marinated steak and the marinated pork! Try it with a so-mek (Soju + Beer = soju bomb). My personal fav soup is the beef and radish soup... I could down 5 bowls easy! Interior is obviously brand new and clean and though I only visited in a group of 5, they have lots of space and can definitely accommodate much larger groups. Service was great, all the employees genuinely seem to love their job which is so hard to come by these days. Hostess was super friendly, they gave great recommendations, and the staff were attentive and quick! Would highly recommend this spot to anyone. When I was driving by months ago and saw the construction in the shopping center, I was ecstatic to find out that Won (formerly 02 bbq) was opening a location in Long Island that is AYCE. Usually for the best Korean bbq experience, one wound have to travel to Queens or Manhattan (a trip well worth it). However on days where I was getting out of work later (happened a lot) it meant the less likelihood of taking a trip to Flushing or Bayside. And I am an avid fan of their Bell Blvd location regardless of the wait times. The Carle Place location is located inside a very spacious shopping center with a lot of parking spots. If the space in front of the store is taken (there are other businesses that operate throughout the day) there is more space to the side. Prime dinner hours (this is for most of the bbq places in general) especially on weekends are always the busiest. So realistic wait times can be at least an hour or so. This new location is much bigger than the Bayside store with more tables. My friends tell me that lunch is very chill ambience (special lunch menu price). They offer a variety of quality meats as well as sides (salads and soups). They have a little dessert menu for dinner. And on weekends a full bar with cocktails is available if you choose to partake. On the days where I can make it to that location I find that dining in on a weekday evening is very optimal. The staff that has taken care of me are very attentive. The only issue I have seen is that they seem to have less staffing after 9p or 10p. Sometimes it gets a bit busy This is most definitely a solid kbbq spot on Long Island. I wanted to recognize some exemplary employees. Jen is coincidentally always there (usually) when I dine in on random days. Even tho very busy she always takes the time to greet us even when we may not be in her section. She works very hard and is very polite. Ellen is a very hard working and diligent employee. When I happen to dine in on weekends she is always so happy to see me and my friends. And I can tell other customers really like the way she treats them. She is always making sure everyone is okay and needs anything. She is one of the best in my opinion. Josh is always on point when I dine in and checks on our table often when when it happens to be just. He manages the tables very well and is always polite and welcoming. He is definitely an asset to the team at Won Carle Place. The other employees whom I do not know their name also provide a great dine in experience. read more
