Nashville Chicken Sandwich & Sidewinder Fries - Wonderland Chicken - Bend Oregon
    Mark D.

Wonderland Chicken - A Casual, Tasty Lunch A friend treated me to lunch at Wonderland Chicken. Like me, the ambiance leans a bit rustic, but it was clean and comfortable. There's both indoor and outdoor seating; we sat outside. The sidewalk is a little uneven, but it didn't impact our experience. The staff member who took our order and brought out the food was friendly, professional, and helpful. The service moved at a nice pace, with the order taken promptly and the food delivered in good time. The fried chicken sandwich was solid. I went with a moderate heat level for the sauce and probably could have kicked it up a notch or two. The waffle fries, referred to as "sidewinders," were a bit of a mystery in name, but they were good fries. Overall, the food was tasty and neatly presented. It wasn't a destination meal, but it was certainly a satisfying lunch. Wonderland Chicken hits the basics of a good lunch spot: fast, friendly, flavorful. If you're in the neighborhood and want a quick bite, it's worth a stop.

Fantastic fried chicken sandwich. The service was wonderful and we loved the garlic Parmesan fries. The Nashville sauce is no joke. The heat will be smelled and felt. HOT!!!! And the fried pickles were crunchy and the batter stayed on! Yes!!!!! This place will definitely be a regular for us.

    Sweet sweet tea!

Lush chicken with a brittle crumbly breading that coats your tongue. Best Queso in central Oregon on the Mexican fries.

Yo - if you're visiting Bend - make your way here, without a doubt we will stop anytime on our way…read morethrough or if we come back! It's a walk in sit down spot - you place your order at the counter and they give you a number - decent size for busy food times - so usually plenty of seating. Over the phone ordering was a snap and the dude was super polite and helpful - not rushed. My wife got the traditional breakfast - she loved the local links and flaky biscuit - I think it was peach marmalade - not sure, but it was LEGIT. I got the pozole roja (I think that's the menu name) and - yo, it was the best pozole I've had. The ingredients were plenty, the chicken was tender and flavorful, they put the radishes, cilantro and cabbage on the side for you to add so it's not soggy. Sourdough was so good to dip - mouth is watering writing this. Service th morning we were headed out at 7amish was great also - wife got coffee cake (warmed in their brick oven) and I got two citrus muffins and a sourdough cinnamon roll for later - all were scrumptious and delightful. I would got a half dozen muffins if I knew they were that good before. People were kind and the service is quick. We ate there these two time on $52 dollars - both to-go orders. We will absolutely be back - every time we are near bend, I'll be stopping for pozole for sure! Well done, Jacksons Corner, well done!

Set in an old home, this establishment has become one of Bend's favorite restaurants. The menus have range with breakfast by far being my favorite. However, their pizzas are spectacular and I've never had a pastry yet that I didn't really enjoy. They serve coffee from a local roaster called Lone Pine. The staff is always extremely friendly and I have frequently positive interactions with them when I stop by. Prices are reasonable, and the food is very high-quality while also being consistently fresh. Parking can be a challenge at times, but it's always worth the effort. Not to mention a chance for a nice stroll around downtown Bend after my meal... just the perfect end to complement a perfect day here in this lovely place. Thank you Jackson's corner for being a staple in this community and consistently making every meal here a little bit more joyful.

We were just passing through Bend for the night on the way to Washington and looking for takeout…read morefood to eat back at our hotel. Found this place because of the killer reviews. It is located in the parking lot of a brewery that looked super cute with tons of seating both indoor and out. We got our dinners + 2 cheese plates (one for that night and one to take on our road trip). The lady that took our order didn't really like the idea that we were taking the cheese plate to go because she said they have a nice display and silverware at the brewery for it. We thought that was kind of strange, but when we ended up getting it, it was a super full box with a ton of goodies that must of been a bit of a challenge to get in the box. It probably would of been a beautiful cheese plate if we stayed there and had some beer or wine. I got the wet burrito for dinner that had griddle potatoes, smoked turtle beans, grilled mixed vegetables, roasted chilis, & caramelized onions smothered in hot enchilada sauce. I really liked it until my friend pointed out it tasted kind of like marinara and I couldn't get that out of my head. It was still good, but not the normal burrito taste. My friend got the fried rice and liked it, but thought it was better for breakfast.
