I was looking for a Company that could come out to our facility to shrink wrap a boat. First hand nobody would like to come out and second everybody was way to expensive if they would've. Wonderland Marine came out even on short notice and even they just had a big show the weekend before and for a reasonable price. My latest interaction was unfortunately a very bad one. 3 times I took the boat in (for the same electrical problem) and 3 times Wonderland West indicated "your boat is ready for pick up"... only to have the same electrical issue. After installing parts I did not need (and almost 4 weeks past), I wised up on the 4th time by having an electrical engineering friend have a look (he is not a mechanic). The culprit? Bad battery cables... shouldn't a $190/hour company check battery cables? read more

Wonderland Marine Pinckney (Boat Slip) - It's difficult for me to put this into words, but Ralph Blasey is an old crotchety douchebag. I had a boat slip for 6 years with Wonderland. This spring my boat had some issues. I sold it as is. I purchased a new boat from an private seller and contacted Ralph to review the specs., 2020 20' Mastercraft. He immediately terminated my boat slip agreement due to breach of contract, which states that I must purchase a boat through Wonderland. No discussion. Just flat out terminated. read more

I had a Riva stage two installed in my Jetski here. They don't add antifreeze to the intercooler during the winterization process. Because of this intercooler had cracked, because no antifreeze was added and water has entered into my engine block,  Now I am having multiple issues now for multiple years. I have multiple recordings and emails from Riva Racing stating antifreeze must be added to the intercooler or that will cause it to crack and have water Enter your engine. I have recordings of the Owner service manager, service tech and service writers, all admitting that they don't put antifreeze into the intercooler during the winterization process.  I do have recordings of them stating that they've learned that the hard way.  If you feel that you have had the same thing done to you. PLEASE listen to these reviews!! I placed an order for a Yamaha Wave Runner over 2 months ago. After MULTIPLE phone calls and voice mails and a phone call to Yamaha Customer Support, they just now told me they are not getting any new machines from Yamaha and cancelled my order. Dallas told me my only option was to spend $800 more for one they have in stock. I can't afford another $800 more....especially for features I won't even use. They tell you to call the manager because the Manager (AJ Mitter) is related to the Owner (Paul Mitter) so nobody ever gets back to you! If you need more evidence, just check out the Better Business Bureau's website. R-U-N as far away as you can from this place. Wish I would've. read more

They're great if you go in person and buy something they have in stock, but if you need to order something avoid them at all costs. They don't really use their email, and they love to play phone tag. They're also unclear on costs, I ordered a $50 part and paid $20 shipping... turns out that was just to get it to the dealer. All said and done I had to pay $40 shipping to get a $50 part to my door. I will be driving the extra 2 hours to use another dealer from now on. read more

Purchased a Yamaha AR 250 2 years ago. When it was time to take the boat back in after the break in period. The Howell location left my boat a mess, oil everywhere, dirty hand/foot prints everywhere, and was told the keys were left in the boat. When I arrived back home, the keys were not in the boat but back at the Howell location. They told me I would have to come get them myself, I live an hour away. Fast forward to this year. I winterize myself but was unable to do the oil change this year, so I took it into the Waterford location where they ship over to the Howell location to conduct the change. Again, I go to retrieve the boat after they called me and said the batteries were completely dead and I needed new ones. I told them that's not possible as I had just hooked them up the day I took it in. I was hung up on when I challenged them on their process as they told me the boat was not winterized either, this was not the case. When I picked the boat up yesterday, it was trashed again. Hand/foot prints everywhere, leaves in the boat, and oil on the engine and bay. I tested the batteries right away, both jumped right to 12vs no problem. I feel bad that this is a certified dealer for Yamaha. I will do everything in my power to not go back to these locations. read more

To begin, we are absolutely thrilled with our boat and feel lucky to be among the few that received one this year. That being said, the level of service at Wonderland Marina by A.J. and Matt (and the man who did a walk around?) was a disgrace to the Yamaha name. The salesfloor was disgusting, no one greeted us except for a dog, who happened to belong to A.J. When first arriving to deliver payment, we waited for A.J. to great us. We found him sitting at his desk flossing his teeth. He proceeded to shake my husband's hand. He did not acknowledge me; in fact, asked "this is just going to be in your husband's name, right?" Both names on the check. While waiting for the boat to be pulled up, he was thoroughly annoyed that we asked to see the boat prior to signing final paperwork. Never during our initial deposit, payment, or pick up of the boat were we offered water, a tour, coffee, or an explanation for completely delayed and disrespectful service. While waiting for the boat to arrive, we received our title to the trailer. They had incorrectly filled out the paperwork, resulting in our having to purchase a replacement title to ensure we could obtain insurance for the trailer - we never received a title for the boat. When we picked up the boat, we found out they had entered in the names and addresses incorrectly, which is why we never received our title for the boat. We resubmitted the paperwork once we got home to ensure our registration was prepared. Logistically speaking, typing in an address that is both on the drivers licenses and the checks should not be that difficult. In terms of service the day of pick up, we were given a "walk around", but the man showing us did not know how to pair the phones, use the speakers, adjust the GPS, find the various meters, adjust depth finder, etc. We were not explained where any of the storage was, how to put on the cover, how to put up the table, set up the bathroom, etc. Nothing (this did not occur when we initially paid for the boat either). We spent 90 minutes of him explaining, incorrectly, to my husband how the mechanics of jet propulsion works. When we returned back to the marina after a "test drive", we were told to "go to the back. You can get other equipment there for 10% off." So, we went in because neither salesperson was there to assist. We picked out two tubes, two ropes, and waited for nearly an hour for someone to find us after asking. One employee then plated the trailer added the WC# to the boat. We ended up putting the cover on with no assistance, only to complete the covering and have the employee ask us to take it off and get his life jackets. In final checkout, 3.5 hours after arrival (we were told it would be 90 minutes in total), we reviewed a checklist, and the man walked away. My husband asked if there were two Yamaha stickers for our girls, and was met with, "uh, yea, probably in the back". We never say him again. Our next question was, what do we do now? "Hook up your boat, and head home." Were we looking for a handout? No. Did we want try and find anything at all exciting, memorable, or respectful? Yes. Even offering water to our children was not a thought. No one met us, said thank you, provided us with basic instruction even with the surge brakes, or said good-bye. We were told to come back for maintenance within 10 hours, which I can assure anyone will not be completed at this marina. We will not be back. Wonderland Marine has had our two Jet Skis since July 24. Today is August 17 and they still have not looked at them. Every time we call and ask to speak to a manager it doesn't happen. This place is a Minnkota service center. I brought my ulterra there for a noise it was making when I deployed it. They called me back and told me that I loosened the belt up and caused it to wreck the trim motor. This in turn would not be covered under warranty and that I have to spend 500 dollars getting it fixed. I dont even know where the tension screw is. I then called Minnkota who ultimately agreed to cover it. When I went back to pick the motor up I requested to have someone show me how it happened. They refused to get the tech and the person at the counter played dumb. This led me to believe that they were being shady. I strongly caution anyone taking anything there for service work to be extremely careful. Either they are incompetent or they truly intend on scamming people. read more

This might be the worst sales move I have ever experienced. I met salesman AJ on March 1st and put a deposit on a new boat as well as made arrangements to trade in my old boat. We arranged for delivery of the new boat on April 12th. When I was on my way to take delivery I was contacted and told that there were problems with my trade in and they could now only offer me $2K less than previously. When I arrived at the dealership and tried to negotiate this issue, I was told there was nothing anyone could do and I had to come up with another $2K to be able to purchase the boat. They know it is very unlikely that I could go anywhere else and purchase another boat this year as there is a shortage of new boats being produced. If I wanted to purchase any new boat (of the type I wanted) I had no choice but to come up with the funds. I guess I'm lucky they only hit me for that; they could have probably gotten more based on the situation. The only reason I gave them 1 star is because their service people are amazing! read more

Sales department did a good job....service department needs some new leadership! Purchased a Yamaha boat from Wonderland 6 months ago. Had it in for service twice. Both times Wonderland missed the mark. First time: Had dealer install a canvas when I purchased, but they didn't do a great job and water was sitting in the canvas. I took it back and was told a week. Took three weeks and I had to call to get any information. Second time: took the boat in the day after labor day...told 3 to 5 days to look at. I called two weeks later and was told my boat was next in line, but mechanics would be out the following week for training. Called two weeks later and was told they were waiting for a part. A week later they finally called to tell me the boat was ready...but it was now late in the season and that I should have them winterize it. Once they sell you the boat any sense of customer service goes away. read more

Have not been happy with the condition my boat has been returned to me in the last few years. Service is all good and pickup and delivery is good but my boat has been coming back very dirty, with dirt and bird poop. Originally paid to store it inside and it kept coming back worse. I figured the warehouse must have had a lot of truck traffic causing all the dirt and birds in it during the winter, accounting for all the poop. I decided to switch to outdoor storage figuring it would come back better after being shrink wrapped. This year it came back worse than ever with the same issues with the addition that the two eyelets on the front of the toons were bent in toward the middle of the boat. Both sides in the front literally look like someone took a sledgehammer and bent them in. I have no idea how that could happen on both sides. I think I waited a week from the time I called to schedule delivery to the time it was delivered and even if they uncovered it the day I called I can't image it getting as dirty as it was when I got it. I really don't think it was even shrink wrapped. How would I ever know? After using them for 9 years and buying my most recent used pontoon from them that I have been completely happy with, I'm unfortunately going to have to find a new storage facility. read more

I will never use Wonferland Service again. They quoted me a price for a repair on my boat and I asked for a quote on a hull cleaning. After agreeing to the repair of $550 and never receiving a quote on the hull cleaning, I received a bill for $100 more than the original quote, and a charge for the hull cleaning that I never approved. After discussing this with the service manager, I was told the best they could do was a 5% discount on the cleaning that was never even asked for! These people are crazy!! Do NOT buy a boat from these people. Service is horrible. All the work i paid for in the fall wasn't done in the spring and i had to wait two weeks. They replaced an OEM radio that didn't work, then wanted another $700 to fix their mistake. Turns out it wasn't hooked up right and was resolved with a $20 part i took care of myself. But the real burner is that i just found out that the $2000 credit for buying a year old model and the $2,000 credit for my trade in were never credited against the purchase price (admittedly, i should have read the paperwork more closely). Gave them over $1,500.00 to store my pontoon inside, winterize, spring start up and detail! Brought it back to me, side swiped the driver side pontoon, scratched and dented it, i made them take it back, they brought back out and tried to polish it out, didn't work plus now there is 8 perfect grease foot print from the front to the captain's seat, i made them take it back AGAIN, three weeks later i called and said forget about me, oh no its done can you come look at it. REALLY i said i gave you over $1,500.00 and you want me to go out of my way to come look at it, yes he said we don't want to make another trip out if you do"t like it, REALLY, I said that sounds fair!!!!!! Drove out there and looked at it, they ground off more of the pontoon and still a dent now there's aluminium dust finger prints all over the side of the paint work, I said I'm so discussed with you people just clean the side and bring it back, he said OK, two weeks later I called and said HELLO my pontoon, oh sorry we will bring it out. The driver guy called to get directions, I said look at it make sure its clean or I will send it back AGAIN, he said ya its clean, brought it back, it was not clean plus now there's grease on 3 of the seats, AGAIN I said I'm so discussed with you people just leave it and I will take care of it!!!!! He said I will tell my boss when I get back and someone will call you, YOUR RIGHT, no call back. A week later I put my canvas cover on it and GUESS WHAT, they tore it in two spots, So I called again and said the hits just keep coming, oh bring it in and we will send it out, again they screw up but i have to go out of my way to to take it to them and pick it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a problem with my Motor Guide Bow mount trolling motor. I bought my boat from Wilson marine where they took a look at my remote foot control. The first thing they said was replace the watch battery in the remote. I did but it didn't work. I took it to Wonderland because they are a authorized service center and Wilson is not. There are 4 small screws to access the battery. The only thing wrong with my motor was I forgot to remove the plastic film that protects the terminals. Wonderland charged me $52.00 to remove 4 screws and the plastic film from the battery. Wilson Marine took my foot pedal apart but never charged me a penny for doing so. Wonderland screwed me royal. They don't care about customer service at all. I was planning to buy a new Minkoata from them until they stuck it up my butt. I went to Coastline to buy my Minkoata and was treated great. Don't shop at Wonderland Marine unless you liked being screwed. read more

Ugly place to do business with. 1st they scratched my trolling motor in multiple places and didn't fix what I brought it in for. I ended up having to take it to D&R Sport Center in Kalamazoo. 2nd they charged me for their inept work and also submitted an invoice to Minn Kota who also paid them because it was covered under warranty which I didn't know. Once MK paid them, rather than refunding me the service fee they sent a signed letter explaining the correction with a gift certificate requiring me to dive back 110 miles to redeem it. And yes, they knew full well where I lived as I made a point to explain it to them when I dropped the motor off as well as the fact they mailed the letter and certi to me. When I finally was able to return they said the certificate had expired and refused to honor it. I explained that they had Minn Kota's money & my money and it wasn't right, on a technicality to behave as they were. Still they held that because of the expiration they weren't going to do anything about it. I will never return and I want you to know what you can expect from them. read more
