It's an okay noodle place in Chinatown; it replaced what used to be Wonton Garden (since they moved to Mei Lai Wah Wonton Noodle). It's a new restaurant compared to what was there before, with modern decorations. We had shu-mai, wonton noodle soup, and stir-fried noodles. The stir-fried noodles were good. I did not care much for their shu-mai and noodle soup. The price was good, and the service was okay. If I have another craving for noodles, I will probably go to another noodle place instead of here.

Great place to go for wonton and dumpling noodle soups. The atmosphere is new and clean with pretty decor. They have very nice booth seatings. If it's not crowded, you get to sit in the comfortable booth seats and also don't have to share the big table. They have combo meats such as duck or beef brisket with wonton or dumpling in the noodles with soup. For meats, they have roast duck, roast pork and fishballs, but no soy sauce chicken. Their wontons are pretty good with shrimp and pork inside. I like their dumplings much better though. It also has shrimp and pork inside. I got that with beef brisket and ho fun, the wide rice noodles, instead of the yellow stringy noodles. Very filling and less than $15. Just the dumpling noodle soup is about $11. Same with just the wonton noodle soup. Good place to dine-in for some dumpling or wonton noodle soups.

Didn't really have great experiences coming here as the food was always so-so, but compared to some other places around, the seating's more spacious when they're not busy. The food's really nothing to write home about but I guess tourists can't tell the difference.

everything was average but the one thing that stood out is the wonton noodle soup. the wontons were BIG and stuffed with generous heaps of shrimp n pork.

I used to love coming here (maybe 10 years ago) but ever since the renovation it hasn't been the same. The food is pretty average now which is such a letdown compared to what it used to be. On top of that, the place didn't feel very clean for it being newly renovated. This spot was kind of the OG but with so many other options around now, it's hard to want to come back. Note there's an auto 18% tip added to your bill. I'm indifferent to this but thought it should be mentioned.

Excellent Mei Fun and Soup! The service was timely and the decor was modern. I will visit next time I come to China Town

I've always loved wonton noodle soup with beef brisket (五香牛腩), but I hadn't found a favorite UNTIL I tried this place. The beef brisket here is SUPERIOR, dare I say, even better than the other spots on the same street. I was hesitant at first because of some negative reviews online, but the dishes we ordered were very delicious. Honestly, I never trust ratings on Chinese restaurants. The restaurant is clean, modern, and has a decent bathroom (always a plus). It was packed when I went on a Friday, with a good mix of Chinese locals and tourists. *Spiced Beef Brisket 五香牛腩 $11.95 ** Both the lean brisket and tendon were very tender and full of five spiced flavor. We didn't waste a drop of the sauce, scooping up every last bit and drizzling it over our fried rice. I only wish they offered the beef tendon on its own. The jelly-like texture had me hooked. *Wonton Soup 淨雲吞湯 $8.95 The pork and shrimp filling had a nice bounce, wrapped in a thin wonton skin. The wontons were on the smaller side. While wonton soup is their signature dish, I found the wontons tasty but they didn't wow me. I still prefer the ones from Maxi's and Superior in Brooklyn. *Singapore Chow Mei Fun 星洲炒米 $14.95 * *Shrimp Fried Rice 蝦炒飯 $15.95 A HK cafe classic -- stir-fried vermicelli noodle tossed in curry powder, shrimps, char siu, and bean sprouts. The fried rice was flavorful and full of wok hei. Safe to say, you can't go wrong with their 炒粉麵飯 (stir-fried noodles and rice dishes). Portions were generous that we had plenty of leftovers to take home.

Fish ball and wonton noodle soup

Although I would have preferred to have dined at the newly opened sleek-looking restaurant on Mott Street, we ordered delivery via UberEats out of convenience on a Saturday night. Our order consisted of the fish ball and wonton noodle soup, beef brisket ho fun noodle soup, Xiamen mei fun, and the choy sum with oyster sauce. In short, everything was delicious--except for the beef brisket dish. The wontons were excellent--large and packed with shrimp and pork. I regret getting the combo of fish balls and wontons given that the fish balls were forgettable while wontons, as I should have expected, were the highlight. The noodles and broth were also well-executed. Unfortunately, the beef brisket was 98% tendon. Some were tough and even difficult for someone like me raised with offals to gnaw on. There was almost no tender lean meat. The ho fun was also thin and overcooked. This dish was a miss. At least the broth was good and not too oily. The Xiamen mei fun was scrumptious with roast pork, shrimp, and scrambled eggs. It was a tad soft and overcooked but at least not too greasy. The choy sum vegetables provided some balance and were solid with a not-too-salty and not-too-oily oyster sauce. The stalks were crunchy with tender leaves. If we were to return, we would definitely focus on getting a full serving of the wonton noodle soup!

Fairly good Chinese food that are decent prices (bring cash for slightly cheaper). I ordered the wonton soup and it hit the spot. The wontons were hearty and there was a generous portion of noodles accompanying a clean broth.

came with my parents on a busy lunchtime Sunday .. We got the Wonton Noodle, Dumpling Ho Fun, Chicken Mai Fun, kung pao chicken. This location has been a long time wonton spot for 40+ years. Unfortunately there is heavy competition for wontons on the block and in chinatown. I thought the wonton noodle was average at best, size is medium, broth wasn't boiling hot. The dumplings were not good (doughy). Actually the hot dishes (chicken mai fun and kung pao chicken) was above average. A positive is that they use real dishes, unlike Maxi down the block. Responsive staff, portion size is fair, good A/C Tip was added to our bill automatically despite being just 3 people in our party.

This recently opened place on Mott Street has a clean, modern interior with some traditional touches. It looks rather sleek compared to your average Chinatown restaurant, and at first I was a bit worried that this would translate in higher prices, but that's not the case. There are several booth and a communal table, plus wooden stools around the bar area. Their Shrimp Wonton Noodle Soup ($13) was the highlight of my visit. The wontons were great, with a satisfying crunch from perfectly cooked shrimp, wrapped in thin, delicate skins. The broth was clear and flavorful, and the soup came with a few pieces of choy sum, which added a nice touch of freshness. This was a very good dish. We also tried their Soup Dumplings ($10), which were ok, nothing special. They were easy on the soup, and one actually had none. The House Special Fried Rice ($16) was generously portioned with a good mix of BBQ pork, shrimp, and vegetables. It had a nice, slightly smoky flavor that I particularly appreciated. The Braised Tofu ($14) surprised me - tender tofu with a crispy skin in a savory sauce with broccoli and peppers. It was comforting and well-executed. Service was efficient and friendly, with food arriving promptly. They kept refilling our tea, which is also free. They accept cards with no minimum, which is convenient. Same price cash or credit.

This is a new grand opening on Mott Street and it caught my eye when I saw the amount of flowers the restaurant had on its grand opening day. Many flowers outside and inside the place! It was a lot. I want to try their noodles with wonton and roast pork. I ordered them to go and paid with card. Wait time wasn't long and that much. Luckily there was a cushioned bench by the entrance to wait for the food to be ready. When I opened the containers, I thought the noodles and roast pork was very little. They don't give much and enough noodles. Soup was a lot though. It was only 3 choy sum sticks and that was it with a few scallions to decorate the bowl. Roast pork tasted pretty good but I don't think it was filling enough at all. I also ordered wonton noodle soup and wonton was crunchy from the shrimp. Overall, I will come here if I do need a quick bite.

We didn't have much time so we ordered two wonton noodle soup. It was very quick service perfect for what we needed at the time. I'll definitely come back when there's more time and try other things place is brand newly renovated, since last time I was here Ron's ago!

We've been to several different locations of Nan Xiang before and it is always a favorite. When we…read morediscovered the Koreatown Nan Xiang was right around the corner from our hotel this visit, we made it a priority to visit, and we brought friends who were new to soup dumplings (XLB). There was a wait list to get seated when we arrived but the process was simple and moved quickly, and service was prompt and food came out quickly. We ordered both the standard pork XLB and my faves, the pork and crab ones, as well as pan fried pork dumplings which I was surprised to discover were also full of soup, chicken corn dumplings, and two noodle dishes: rice cake with pork & mustard greens, and pan fried noodles with beef. Servers were conscientious about allergies and very specific about letting us know which items were which, but other than that were largely appropriately hands off. They did ask us, mid-meal, if it would be ok if a service dog were at the next table to ours, which I thought was courteous. (The service dog was adorable and well behaved.) All the food was fab, which we expected. It's nice to come in a group and be able to order more items for a greater variety. The rookies executed well (and thanked us for the instructions on how to eat XLB to avoid getting soup everywhere) and were pleasantly surprised by my longtime favorite, the rice cake and mustard greens. I'll need to remember that the pan fried pork dumplings also have soup, because I really liked the texture of them. Such good food, and as always, better shared with friends.

Just a few things to pick on. 1) cucumber dish was good, but did feel it lacked a bit flavor and spice. Huge portion 2) wine cold chicken, felt like it was nothing special. Definitely had better elsewhere and prob wouldn't order again. Had food remorse and wish I ordered another cold dish 3) pork xiao long bao, soooo flavorful and juicy. Like I felt like I was having soup. I think the skin was a little too thick for my liking. Overall would definitely come back if I was in the area but would seek to come if it wasn't convenient.

I really liked the scallion pancake and eggplant. The pancake wasn't crispy/dry, but rather the exterior was crisp and the inside was still a little soft/fluffy. It's the first time I had a scallion pancake that wasn't just straight dough inside/outside, or so thin that it got crisped out. I really liked this texture profile though. The eggplant was 10/10; the eggplant was cooked well, so tender but not soggy. The sauce was really good too such that it was sufficient spice but not flaming. Would recommended. I enjoyed the cucumber salad and tofu as well, but have had better. Seasoning and prep were good though -- although the tofu was cooked so tender (or maybe was silken tofu to begin with) that the whole table was struggling with carrying it from plate to mouth -- heh. Food came out very quickly; staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful. Decent amount of seating with a cozy vibe. It was a good meal, not my favorite Szechuan spot, but definitely hit the spot.

It came with fresh green vegetables also, a plus. They also have congee. It has small bits of meat in it, but it's still very good congee base and satisfies cravings. You have to ask for white pepper at the front register. I didn't see it at the condiment station. As a snack or part of the combo, they have egg tarts. That was just ok. I'm too full to also eat that with the meal anyways. For drinks, the HK milk tea, especially the hot one, is very good. I got it without sugar. Their soy milk and iced lemon tea is also very good.
