It was a Wonton's Chinese food sort of day. Plenty of left overs. Always pleasant staff and the food is amazing

    Scorpion bowl.

Service was excellent, the scorpion bowl was tantalizing and refreshing. The chicken fingers were the star of the show, light, crispy, hot and absolutely perfect with their hot mustard. The beef teriyaki was tender, flavorful, moist and executed perfectly. The boneless spare ribs were excellent. The pork fried rice was fresh, hot, filled with onions, pork and scrambled eggs, I loved it. Pro tip: Bring a DD and have 2 of the scorpion bowls... you can thank me later.

Interesting place, very casual atmosphere. We waited a while to be seated, then we waited a while for service, but they were busy. When she did come around, she took the entire order, drinks and food, without writing a single thing down, and came through like a champ. We got the Seven Lakes Spicy Specialty, which is a dish for 2 people, it's Mongolian beef, general tao's chicken and Szechuan pork. It comes with white rice, or pfr for an upcharge. It was really good, I lived the chicken but I think the pork was my favorite. All really well seasoned and fresh. Everything we tried from our friends plates was really good too - the eggrolls we're the typical variety that I like, and the boneless spareribs were good too. There's also a great drink selection. Looking forward to going back to try different menu items.

Pretty normal Chinese food. The brown sauce they cook the beef and broccoli in has great flavor. Everything has substance and isn't dried out like some other Chinese restaurants we've been to. Highly recommend

However, the service is spotty and the wait for food is ridiculous. This time, we had a 6:00 pm reservation. We ordered our appetizer and main course at the same time. The main courses also include a salad. I ordered a coke zero and my husband wanted a regular coke. This is the third time that he wanted one and they've been out of regular coke. How the heck do run out of coke... especially since they don't serve alcohol. We finally got our appetizer, the lumpia, which by the way is delicious, 45 minutes later. The salad finally came out 20 minutes later. We asked the waiter about the main course. He said he checked with the kitchen and they said in five minutes. 15 minutes later still waiting. Looking around we noticed that almost every table is dealing with the same issue. Honestly as much as I love the food...I doubt we will be back.

But our hostesses was very friendly and accommodating. We started with sushi appetizers with my wife choosing the avocado salmon roll and I picked the chefs sampler along with a cup of egg drop soup. All were excellent and the soup was maybe the best I've ever had! For our main dishes my wife picked cashew chicken and I picked red curry chicken at medium heat. Both were not quite up to the appetizers. Her dish was loaded with green peppers (not her favorite) and seemed short of cashews. My curry was very spicy (not really medium) but tasty. I had to add some duck sauce to calm it down to make it easier to handle. All in all we liked Easern Paradise we just have to find a quiet time to enjoy them again. And skip the curry!

The fried rice , crab regoons etc are cooked to order and aren't greasy. The teriyaki is cooked perfectly and the egg rolls are chocked full of filling. The chicken fingers have just the right amount of chicken to breading and are also fresh. Sushi- They offer rice paper in lue of seaweed for the sushi ( which isn't mentioned on their menu). Waitstaff is always attentive, pleasant. This is our go-to place for Chinese food Takes credit cards and is located in the Rochester shopping plaza by Crumble.

An excellent third stop on our impromptu culinary tour of Portland, and our party grew from two to four. I had the Shanghai cowboy cocktail, the bourbon hits, and you can definitely taste the mint more than the guava. All the foods in order of my preference, this was a tough list to rank because everything had great flavor and came out hot!! Lobster rangoon: yes, I would love to have another order of these! Great flavor, nice crisp wonton, just a wonderful rangoon experience! Pork pot stickers: mmm, love me some pot stickers, and these lived up to my expectations, great flavor and texture! Sa cha chicken skewers: so very tender, great flavor, would gladly eat again! Garlic meatball skewers: good flavor, nice dipping sauce, happy we added these to our selection. Shanghai soup dumplings: in general a fun food item, great flavor and they were highly recommended by the everyone who suggested we eat here. Mongolian beef: the beef had great flavor, the broccoli was cooked properly, not mushy, the onions were well caramelized; delicious! Har gow: good flavor, nice steamed dumplings, glad we tried them! Peking duck buns: my friend was in love with these, it was good, but not something I was immediately obsessed with. More than enough food for the three of us adults! The toddler had an order of steamed noodles. I definitely forgot a few photos, but the food was just so good!!

Lobster rangoon, order them yesterday. They're absolutely amazing. Little sweet, little tangy, rich, very light exterior, plenty of filling; they checked all the boxes. I wish an order came with double! (I wouldn't judge if you put in a double order). The Duck Bao, for me, would be a pass for next time. They were good- just not standout. The bao bun itself was very nice and pillowy, just as you'd want, so they are working with a great foundation. I just wanted a little more out of the flavor for the duck. Maybe it could have used some freshness in there, there was a touch of scallion and some soy based sauce in there but could have benefited from some veg like shredded carrot or daikon or something else. Either that or it would have needed to lean even harder into the umami, caramel- deep flavors. Onto the orange beef. I didn't know how to feel about this when it was first put in front of me. The portion seemed okay, but I realized as I kept eating, the pile of beef wasn't going down as quick as I thought it would (good problem to have!) the beef was crisp, the orange flavor was tangy and sweet - it was really tasty. Beef wasn't tough but also wasn't super tender. Not good nor bad. My only complaint here is that there could have been a little more bok choy and the rice was not very easy to eat with chopsticks. It was a jasmine rice from what it seemed and it didn't have any starch to stick together at all. To pick it up I was having to press the beef into the rice to stick it all together. Not super easy to eat but maybe its just a me problem.
