We are so pleased and impressed with our dresser repair. Our dresser was damaged (basically fell apart) in a 1000 mile move but Stephen was able to put the dresser back together and it is perfect now! He glued the piece together again and the drawers now slide better than before. Stephen is also very easy to communicate with and understanding. We hired Stephen to repair 5 large pieces of furniture. Other furniture shops wanted the items delivered to them, Stephen providing mobile services saved the expense of hiring movers and transportation costs. The furniture in question had hundreds of chips and a huge chunks completely broken off. For several hours, Stephen worked diligently and I am happy to report my pieces look as good as new!!!! Am very pleased with Stephen's work on my damaged kitchen cabinet. The countertop demo crew cracked the side of my wall oven cabinet leaving a 5-inch long gouge in the wood surface. Stephen shored up the break and patched the front such that it looks literally as if nothing had ever happened. I am so glad these nice cabinets could be saved. I liked the work so much I am having him rework a few of the upper door fronts to remove the wood panel and insert decorative glass. I would not hesitate to recommend Wood & Hand Artisans. read more

Stephen did an amazing job refinishing my butcher block farmhouse table. It had a clear coat finish over blond maple and was too light for my current kitchen, but I've had it for 15 years, it is solid wood and I love it. I want it refinished to a rich dark tone. I found Stephen thru Thumbtack. His was not the lowest bid (or the highest), but I wasn't looking for the cheapest, I was looking for the best...and I found him! He took his time and got it right. Very happy with the repair of my drop-leaf secretary desk. Hinges and hardware were fixed, an area at bottom of desk which was chewed by my dog was fixed to look like new. Minor wear scratches removed. The desk looks better and is now sturdier than when it was new. I will definitely use this service again if I need furniture repaired.
