Ive never had a problem with this store except there are many items that are not in stock when I make the 3 hour trip there. And with the construction going on I don't blame them for being careful. I have had great interaction with the owner, but the help seems to care less and would rather have their phones or group convos instead of jumping to help incoming customers. read more

I received a coupon in the mail for $10 off. I bought over $50 worth of merchandise. I was told that they couldn't use my coupon because it would show an error message. He wouldn't even scan it. He acknowledged that it hadn't expired. He was very rude, as if it were coming out of his pocket. read more

Just left Woodcraft, the younger gentleman there was kind, considerate, and very helpful. If I were reviewing him alone, this would be a 5 out 5. But the older person was grumpy and not very kind, and was not helpful. Perhaps he was having a bad day. Nevertheless, b/c of him the rating is 3 out of 5. We have been going to Woodcraft a long time, and more often than not, they have very helpful people. But every once in a while, they hire someone who is not helpful for the businesses reputation. read more

Very frustrating experience today. Purchased a Festool Orbital Sander, hose, sandpaper, and systainer; not to mention $200 of miscellaneous items. The salesman (who refused to tell me his name) said he had several Festool products at home, including the 6" sander I was purchasing. He guided me to the "appropriate" hose, and I went in my merry way. When I got home, the hose did not fit the tool. I called and asked if they'd be willing to give a discount on the required adapter, as I was going to spend another hour in my truck there and back, plus gas, plus lost revenue. I received nothing but hostility and refusal. I will give this company no more of my hard earned money, and I encourage you all to shop elsewhere. Almost everything they offer can be found online for cheaper. I was reluctant to leave this review, but I was truly offended by my experience. read more

At first I was very happy to find this location so close to my home. They have a great selection of merchandise. But certainly on the high side when it comes to check out. Now while some of the staff at this location are very helpful a good many are not. They do NOT seem to like new people to woodworking and seem to want to make you feel stupid when you ask questions. A few of the employees here really turned me off to this place and its a shame for the store since I'm buying about $10,000 of equipment right now but will be buying at their competitor who treat the customer with respect which is lacking at Wiodcraft If you're an experienced woodworker and know exactly what you want and require little inter action with the staff and don't mind the high prices then maybe you will like it other wise read my reviews for better woodworking stores in Indy read more

Several years ago I drove 2 hours to get to Woodcraft, Its a little hard to find pre GPS. I called 5 minutes before store closed and said I was within 2 minutes and the employee said sorry we close at exactly such and such time. I made it and he was perturbed i wanted in. I went past him to another sales person checking a customer out. Asked for planer blades. He pointed and they were 4 feet away. I grabbed them and got in line and checked out before too many minutes after store closing time. Its been at least 4 years and I still remember like it was yesterday. Woodcraft has a great selection of products, tools and materials that are difficult to find anywhere but a wood specialty store. I'm not a professional woodworker, but I've always found the staff here engaged and helpful, but not overbearing. Usually when I take on a project, I do a lot of research beforehand. The advent of the internet means that anyone can come armed with a few smart questions. Today I needed Briwax to finish a cherry library table so the trip was easy. Even so, my visit turned into 30 minutes of ogling joiners, saws, jigs and hand planes. If your working on a special project and need some great products, good advice and fair prices, look no further than Woodcraft. read more

Couldn't agree more with the review above from Sean. We also are in the process of setting up a wood shop and have made multiple major purchases. We stopped by Woodcraft to purchase the Festool mitre saw and get their opinion for purchase of a CNC machine and walked out in about 5 minutes empty handed. We have visited Woodcraft in Tulsa and was very impressed by the knowledge, professionalism, courtesy and helpfulness of their staff as they helped us with the purchase of our bandsaw and air filtration system from them. Unfortunately we had the unpleasant experience of dealing with Rick at the Indy store and will NOT be back. He was rude and insulting to both my husband and I, he even told me if "I had to ask the price of the miter saw I obviously couldn't afford it!!!" VERY DISAPPOINTING read more
