I've never visited and seen it overtly dirty, and I'm able to find everything I need pretty quickly. The front workers by the self-checkouts are very helpful. They usually give a greeting and will assist if need-be. There is usually a decent amount of them nearby, so you don't have to flag one down. Carina has helped me on several occasions and always seems happy to help! As far as Walmarts go, this is one of the good ones.

But in particular, if you are buying pet food, do your research, shop at your own risk, and don't expect TSC employees to care about the health of your animals--or you. I go to Tractor Supply only to buy dog food; it's out of my way, but they have a good quality-to-value brand, Diamond Naturals, that I like. The company producing this dog food--and several other brands--has had a few very serious large-scale recalls in the past 5 years. In some cases, the contamination sickened and killed pets; in other cases, people were also at risk from handling the food. After learning about the Spring 2012 recall, I was disappointed to see no evidence at my local Tractor Supply that the staff were aware of it--no signs and no interest on the part of the staff in learning that the recall existed or which production codes were involved. In fact, when I gave the cashier the FDA information I had printed out, she shrugged and threw it in the trash. I get the message! And I'll be shopping elsewhere.

I can always pretty much guarantee that when I listen to or hear of some random band whose album I'm sure I'll never be able to find, Finders will have that release waiting contentedly for me. Their vinyl selection is growing by leaps and bounds as the months move along, as well. Additionally, I specifically appreciate the fact that they give ample attention to genres such as classical, world, and electronic music - good stuff, and nice that I can find Tinariwen and Ali Farke Toure as easily as I can something in Sub Pop. Their used section is great, too, vaulting wildly down one whole wall of the store - my only complaint with the section on the whole is that its shelves stretch up a good ways and the CDs are stored horizontally (as is normal, I know, I know). This makes reading the titles on most of the shelves frankly overwhelming, to be honest, and on the upper shelves, nearly impossible. A mild downer, however, in what overall is a great store to purchase music from. Dangerously good.

When I walked into McGivern, I was immediately greeted and treated so kindly. Staff went the extra mile to help me and explain the timing, cost and options. My resizing and appraisals were completed in about 7 days which I thought was remarkable. My next trip in, I decided to resize a bracelet and reset a ring. Mike personally helped me and was incredibly helpful. Once my jewelry updates were complete- within the stated timeframe, by the way- I picked them up and I was absolutely floored at how beautifully they turned out. I would recommend McGivern to everyone and anyone and I plan to use them, exclusively, for any future jewelry needs.
