Mattreses and other large furniture is piled around the dumpster. I visit often and the residents seem afraid to speak out. I am sure that Paul and Theresa do not live like this.

Cockroaches, brown recluses, and gun shots, and more…read more My husband and I moved to Jackson (from KC) for one year while he completed a medical training contract. From the beginning, we were very clear with management that we would only be living there for the duration of his contract yet our experience was consistently frustrating. On move-in day, the unit we had signed for wasn't ready, so we were forced to switch units after already giving our movers, friends, and family the original address. Shortly after moving in, we dealt with a persistent cockroach infestation that continued for months despite multiple exterminator visits and our own efforts to keep the apartment extremely clean. The exterminator even told my husband it was a known issue. It became so disruptive that I avoided my kitchen, didn't want to be in the apartment, and actually lost weight from the stress. We also had a lot of spiders including brown recluses. We had shots fired in the parking lot during business hours one day. A neighbor who is a police officer responded, and another tenant called 911. To my knowledge, management never notified residents about the incident or communicated any additional security measures afterward. Meanwhile, we regularly received emails about rent reminders, pool parties, and even promotions offering a "Boo Basket" in exchange for leaving a 5-star review. Before moving out management never notified us prior to 60 days that 60 day notice was required to avoid an auto renewal of the lease at a higher rate. We were ultimately charged an additional $735 because the property manager Sara said we missed the deadline by 11 days. (She had put notice on our door at 45 days and said she wasn't legally required to notify us prior to 60 days).When I raised the issue, she told me this was an ongoing issue and that all tenants are treated the same. I even suggested sending residents a reminder about the policy, but no communication was ever sent.

They staff was very friendly…read more Tuesday I got a call that I was not accepted because my score was lower than a 650 and with my mom she was accepted. My mom is 83 years old and I take care of her. They told me my mom could live there but not me. Do you think in anyone right mind they going to let a 83 year old mom that I take care of live alone. They told me to fix my credit that no one will l touch me with that credit score. Little do they know I got approved at a nicer complex. Glad I didn't get approved because if she would of shown her true colors like she did today it would of Been ugly. They need to update the kitchen appliances and make bigger kitchens. Wouldn't recommend this place they way I got treated today with the rudeness.

The apartments were recently sold March 1, 2018. My son moved out on Feb 28, 2018 and was unaware…read moreof the sale. Up until this time he loved living here. When he turned in the key, the previous manager told him she would be mailing his deposit and assured him that it was clean. After 2 months of telling him he would get his deposit, the new manager now claims that his apartment was dirty and he would not receive his deposit. I personally cleaned it and can tell you it was not dirty. The appliances are old and outdated and can only get just so clean. Not like they are brand new. When speaking to the new manager on multiple occasions, they refuse to even return part of the deposit. I would not recommend this complex to anyone. New management is rude and clearly wants to take advantage of people.
