This restaurant is a hidden gem in Holyoke. Everyone was really friendly. My waiter, Ryan, was awesome. Everything was really good! I definitely will be back!!

Mexican street corn

Two of us went for dinner an early dinner on Saturday -- and were seated at booth. We ordered drinks (an ale and a cranberry juice), watermelon salad, and Mexican street corn (without the gluten). Then for our meals we had the seared salmon and statler chicken breast. Everything was delicious -- and even though it seemed a bit small, it was the perfect portion for us. The waitress was very nice and everything came out quickly! Cute, tasty find!

Nice Irish pub vibe. I think we went on a short-staffed night as the service wasn't great. The beef carpaccio was bland. The filet mignon and the mushroom ravioli were good but overpriced.

Parking: Street parking and this is a tough one because when you pull into the area, it is not the greatest location by the looks of it at night. Decor: Very friendly and inviting Staff: We ate at the bar, had William as our waiter/tender and he was on point with food ideas, portion descriptions and never an empty drink Food: Extremely tasty, the flatbread had sauce on it, too many times they are just topping and very little sauce. The steak and fish (pictured) were presented very well on some nice but different plates (nice to see a bit of style) Price: I cannot speak to Holyoke as it was my first time but was about average with drinks. Overall: If you are in the area, check it out, you will love the food and service!

Woodstone offers patio dining amidst a garden of perennials and hanging plants. They have recently eliminated weekly entertainment as they move towards an upscale dining experience. My dining partner chose fried oysters as an appetizer. He devoured them. For our entree, we chose rigatoni bolognese. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente but overall the bolognese was lacking. I usually choose a sandwich option here but burger was the only choice this evening. Service was great as was the mango margarita. Parking can be challenging and we had to circle a few times before finding a spot in their lot.

My wife and I have made Woodstone one of our favorite pubs to visit. Every menu item we have tried we have really enjoyed! The service continues to be friendly and attentive. The tavern has a very unpretentious vide that we love! Most recently, we had the Irish nachos and they were so delicious! They are served with their house made potato chips, topped with corned beef, thousand island dressing, sour cream and scallions. Amazing! We both had the beef fillet special which was excellent! I especially appreciate that the truffle butter actually has black truffle in it! We really like the relaxed vibe of Woodstone. Everyone we have recommended this tavern to has loved it!

Super cool energy in here. Stopped in for lunch with my mother after a grueling and expensive trip to the Apple Store in Springfield. This place is special. The staff is friendly and attentive and the food was quite good. We had dip and flatbread and the beet salad (which did not skimp on the goat cheese!). I'm never in this area so I'm not sure I'll ever pop in again, but, it's worth a stop if you're in town and if you're local and you're not already a regular, you should question your decision making skills.

The food was so good! And the vibes in there were immaculate. It was cozy with small tables for two, perfect for a romantic evening. The servers were very nice and the food was pretty fast even though they seemed busy. The drinks took a little longer but it was worth the wait. I would definitely eat there again. The arugula salad was great, and as a vegetarian they had good options -- I had to choose between a couple good options! The bread with the honey butter was incredible as an appetizer. Definitely want to go back!

Steak and Fries.

Woodstone Tavern is open for lunch...quiet and quick! They were nice enough to let me order off the dinner menu at lunchtime.

Food and service very good. A little loud due to a party in the bar so not sure if acoustics are great every night.

HOWEVER...I've been to Gigantic at least three times now and I have to admit that going out of your way is worth it. The drink list is not huge, but it's never boring, changes often enough to keep me interested, and I don't recall getting anything less than excellent. If they're willing to do a "bartender's choice" type thing (I haven't tried), I might have to go even more often. To address some of the things that others mentioned: Yes, it's small, but lots of good places are. Yes, the drinks take awhile, but I don't know of ANY high-end cocktail place that can cranks them out. Get over it and enjoy your time there. I've never experienced rude or pretentious (anymore than that are always is) service, but that would annoy me. The server/bartender has always been quite nice to my friends and me. I also checked out their list of vintage liquors last time I was there. I didn't try any (because money) but the fact that they have them at all is impressive.

Came here excited to try out the cocktails of one of the 10 best new bartenders in the country -…read morehttps://punchdrink.com/articles/best-new-bartenders-2025/ While we were not from the area, we were cautioned by several friends that Gigantic might not live up to the hype. What we did like was the old school music, vintage feel that took on the vibes of an antique shop (it was fun to look around), and the intimate setting. The cocktails were really good and creative with a menu that updates frequently and featured some classics as well. The cocktails were a bit pricey for what you got and for the area, the snack options were very limited and overpriced, and service was very slow despite few people being in the bar. We had to ask to be served and waited over 15 minutes for the check. We are glad we checked out Gigantic and would not recommend going out of your way for it as there are other great cocktail bars in neighboring towns.

Unbeknownst to us this is their bar side. Initially turned off by a patron smoking near the door. After walking through the bar to the restaurant area, we were met by Katie, and directed to take a seat anywhere. Being midafternoon the restaurant only had couple and a six top of people celebrating one of diner's 70th birthday. The rest of the restaurant was empty. I commented to my wife how clean the carpet looked. We reviewed the menu and asked Katie what some of the popular dishes were and if she had her choice between the fish & chips or the clams which would she choose. She praised the fish and said that the clams depend on who is cooking. Said today was a fish day. We ordered a Fish & Chips, a pretzel bites which is new to their menu, and the JP minis with an upgrade to onion rings. The pretzel bites were brought out very quickly. The ten little nuggets of pretzel goodness were delicious. The cheese sauce was a perfect compliment to the bites. Our mains came out just as we ate the last pretzel bite. Let's start with fish and chips. The fried scrod was flaky, delicate, and moist, perfectly cooked. The crinkle cut fries were very good. The cole slaw had a nice crunch and not overly done up with celery salt. It was a dry slaw. The JP minis were at trio of juicy sliders with mayo, mustard, and a pickle slice. Very juice two bite burgers. Struck the perfect balance of meat to bread. The onion rings were a bit over fried, had a satisfying crunch, but some were missing the onion. For dessert we split a chocolate chip lava cake. While it was good, it was a little too much sweet on sweet on sweet. The food and service was above average. Definitely will stop by again. Two thing really were turn offs. I mentioned the amount of cigarette smoke from patrons smoking right near the bar door. Next time I will park in the south side and use that restaurant entrance. Second and perhaps the most annoying is that they charge a fee to use a credit card. No where in their menu or any other signage was this additional fee disclosed other than at the bottom of the bill. If my math is correct it is about 4%. So in summary good food and service, avoid the bar side, and be aware they charge extra to pay by credit card.

How absolutely ridiculous to sit there and try to sow political division in our community. There are many different types of people who live here, and discrimination is never okay. Yesterday, there were several absolutely normal families, a gay couple, a trans person, and your regular bar-goers. Would it be okay for Amy's to turn those folks away because a Trump lover cried about it on Yelp? Grow up. Anyway, Amy's has some of the best boneless wings I've had in a long time- it's so rare to find ones that are not pre-frozen or just full of cartilage. Their French onion soup is always a winner, as well. I think the atmosphere is pretty cozy, and there's always a game on if you're into that sort of thing. Either way- Amy's is a great local, American, community restaurant that really reminds me of the kinds of restaurants I used to go to when I was a kid. We'll be back for sure!

The beer list is a rock solid curation of high-quality regional craft beers and the cocktail menu is quirky and fun. I'm not the sort of person who drinks martinis that taste like cookies but that's super fun for some people, and I appreciate the diversity of choices that appeal to a wide range of people and their particular moments in life. I had a cocktail made with grapefruit juice that actually tasted identifiably like fresh grapefruit juice. The service was kind, attentive, pleasant and professional. The ambience was casual and easy going, and the place was clean and welcoming. So it is regrettable that having just discovered this perfectly nice place I will never set foot in there again. They serve Trumpists wearing Trump-fawning t-shirts. If that bothers you, you should not eat here. We moved tables, still couldn't bring ourselves to eat, packed our uneaten food, tipped well, knocked back the remaining beer, left a hundred dollars lighter, and will never return.* People can and do refuse to serve fascists. This business choose to serve them. Spend your money as you wish. * Yes, that's pricey for lunch but that's on us. We went out to have fun. It was a hard week. The prices were reasonable. We had cocktails, beer, an appetizer and an entree. Frugal people who aren't quite as desperate for a little fun could get away spending less, on the other hand, you may have to eat it looking at this guy.
