Finding hardwood floors under an old carpet, I contacted Woody's for an estimate. They said that a Project Mgr would be out the next day within a time-frame. No one showed up. I thought maybe the date was wrong, so I waited a week till the next Wednesday, but no contact. I called back to see what was wrong. The person on the phone was very friendly and professional, apologized, and said she could have a Proj Mgr out that same day. Awesome. She said, "Let me check the schedule and I'll call you back." Never heard from them again. I checked for missed calls and messages, nothing. That was nearly a week ago, and I started to call a third time, but how can I count on them to show up for the work if I can't get them to show up to even try for the job? I can't speak about the qualify of their work because I never got that far, but I've had to move on to another company just to get a quote for the job. I like to leave five-star reviews for those who do work for me, and I'm jealous of the people who got to leave five stars, because I really needed this done and relied on those other reviews as an indication of their quality. It's the first one-star I've ever had to leave, and that star is for the friendliness of the person on the phone. I am disappointed in my experience with Woody's. read more

I have never in 61 years of life had a business owner be so disrespectful and verbally abusive to me in my home and on the phone yelling! What a great experience, what an incredible outcome. Our floors look better today than the day they were originally put in 18 years ago. It's difficult to express the pleasure we have with our newly renovated/installed floors by Woody's. We have ~850 Sq Ft of Brazilian Cherry Wood flooring, which after 18 years was certainly worn and tired. We additionally wanted to add ~200 sq ft of additional flooring, woven into the existing floor, to run down our hallway. Another MAJOR desire for us, to try and tone down the red color in the floors. After lots of research, the only way we could find to minimize the red was to either bleach the wood, which sounds like no fun, or go darker with the stain. Going darker wasn't our first choice, but ultimately decided to go that direction. We choose "Antique Brown" stain after being presented with 6 different stain choices and two different sheen options. The Antique Brown was great for us, it wasn't too dark, a nice warm brown that still, in changing lighting throughout the day, very subtlety shows then conceals the red. We also decided to go with a matte finish over the satin. Our previous flooring was high gloss and it showed EVERY SINGLE MARK, especially in our well lit living/dinning/kitchen. . . the Matte is the extreme opposite, but it made the floors look more natural and will hopefully help conceal the wear into the future. As for Woodys. . . The pandemic has thrown a bit of a wrench into some of the process. Their shop is only open and/or returning calls a couple of days of the week because they have been super slow. I kinda get it, but then again, don't. If your business is slow, then wouldn't you be jumping on calls?!? IDK, it was a minor gripe is all. We solicited three specific bids and called five different flooring companies. Nearly every one talked about how slow they were and yet, of the five we called. . . two never got back with us to schedule a quote and the three that did, including Woodys, took weeks from the initial call to actually receiving the quote. Woody's quote was the most expensive. . . by $3. Yup, THREE DOLLARS. The last quote we received came in two days after we had decided on Woody's and while it was $100'ish less, it took them 17 days to get us a quote. What really sealed it for us was Baltazar, the project manager. He was the easiest going of the estimators we met with, was open to trying different things to get us what we wanted. Day one of the refinishing was a bit uncertain due to the lack of communication from the shop, but we ultimately were worried for no reason. Baltazar showed up, with a flooring specialist (aka worker) Monday morning around 9 AM. I never got the worker dude's name, he spoke little English, which made our conversations brief and broken over the course of the week. If I needed to get any thoughts across I was encouraged to reach out to Baltazar who could help with the translation, but we are really easy going and remained confident and trusting of their work. The initial estimate was 4 days to complete, but given the difficulty finding the Brazilian Cherrywood plank sizes, things slowed down on day two, so the project took 5.5 days to complete. As for the effort and quality of the work. . . OH MY HELL! A week later and I am still stunned at the amount of effort that went into these floors. Weaving the new planks into the old flooring alone is spectacular, you would have no idea the floors weren't always in place. The undercutting of the baseboards to avoid having to remove/replace them. The hand carving of plank edges that butt up against tile flooring. Addressing squeaking sections of flooring. Removing and reattaching items like air intake covers and stove securing braces. Ripping out the carpet and laying it up against the new wood. Working from 9 AM to nearly 10 PM on one day. . . It was absolutely astounding the amount of effort that went into these floors. It was worth every single penny. Thank you Woody's, we will forever be thankful and appreciative! read more

We just had our red birch hardwood floors refinished by Woody's Hardwood Flooring, and they look absolutely beautiful. Jose and Francisco who did the work were a joy to work with. I am very disappointed in my experience I had with Woody's. I had some existing floors refinished and then new flooring installed in a den. I picked Woody's because i was told they could work within a time frame I had. They started day late. They did not with on a weekend to catch up. The problem I have is they finished on time, but they applied two finish visits three hours apart. The finish coats dried bubbly. My floors really look bad. I had one owner John come and look at the floors. I also had a problem with the new flooring. There were areas that did not get filled in with filler or the finish coat. John tried to fill in some of the knots with black filler which looks terrible. The only way I was told the bubbly flooring could be resolved is to lightly sand down the finish coat and reapply a new finish coat. I had just paid to have my house cleaned. The dust from sanding was also worse than I was told it would be. You can see roller brush marks in the floor as well. I was not going to put rugs back down, but due to my floors not looking as well as the floors did before bring refinished. I have put rugs down and purchased additional tugs. I have never heard from either John or Jeff, the two supposed owners. I paid good money to have them screw me over. These guys do not stand by there word. Please be careful. read more

We have been very happy in our experience with Woody's Hardwood Flooring. We hired them in December, 2017 to refinish our oak floor in our entryway, kitchen and informal dining area. They took our floor from scratched and graying bare wood in some areas to fresh and new. We used the Bona natural stain finish and after more than a year the finish is still like new. We recently hired them to extend our flooring into our formal dining room which had been carpet. They were able to carefully cut the bottom of the baseboards and install the hardwood flooring right under them. Their craftsmanship was amazing! I have experience remodeling many houses and I could not have done close to the great job they did. Their pricing was reasonable and the dust from sanding was minimal but did require some cleanup as expected. Be aware that they may need to access your 220 outlet behind your dryer or range to run their heavy equipment. While this may be a small inconvenience, it is well worth it and we love our new floors! read more
