I hardly had to lift a finger. They coordinated with my home owners insurance, called all the right people to do mold tests, their project managers were at my house within a day or two. It was incredible. I had a mold remediation person at my house within an hour to test the damage for any black mold, and the crew was setting up fans to dry out my dry wall and flooring within 24 hours. With the demo, I had to rip out the flooring in my laundry room, and it just made sense to redo the floors in both my kitchen and laundry room so that they matched. They brought someone in for samples, everything was so quick and efficient. I also want to give 5 stars to Mike Stone specifically. He was an incredible project manager, so thorough and thoughtful and kind. I will come back here for any future needs because of him specifically. I did have one minor miscommunication - I was told I could be on a payment plan to pay off the remainder of my bill that insurance didn't cover, however a week after being told this was okay and setting up my payment plan, they called back and told me they no longer do payment plans and that I had to pay my bill by the end of the following week. I had such a wonderful experience leading up to this point, so I didn't want to dock a star, especially because they handled the back and forth with both me and my insurance for months. But did want to flag that for anyone else who may have needed a payment plan, this isn't something that they offer. I would still go back to them and use them in the future. Thank you again for being so efficient and for having such a helpful and caring team!

Valley Construction really overdelivers, I thought I only needed some drywall and baseboards, a bit…read moreof mud and some paint, but I basically got a whole new roommate!! If you need a great team to fumble a job, like you've never seen before, this is the best you're going to get!! I'm truly impressed with how many times I've heard "It'll get done tomorrow, for sure"!! So back on February 4th, which was a reschedule from the 2nd, Valley Construction started work to hang, mud, sand, then paint, about 50sq ft of drywall. They would also install baseboards beneath those sections. Total scope of work was quoted at about 1 -2 days. That should have told me all I needed to know, as mud takes about a day to dry. Either way, as of today, the evening of February 24th, they are still not done. Granted, there was one week where we asked them not to come due to a planned vacation, but we would have never needed to if it didn't take almost two weeks to hang and mud. I don't think I've ever experienced a service provider less communicative about their plan or schedule. They text you either the night before, or the day of and tell you someone will be coming by, and some times that person shows up when they said they would, and some times they send another text mid morning and inform you that they decided to do another job first and that they'd come by in the afternoon instead. Some times, the worker(s) work for a solid block of time, some times they leave and you're left wondering if they just went to lunch or decided to go do a different job. Like an automated response, the PM will always text you and tell you that it will get done the next day "for sure," but you'll never know if the worker(s) will actually show. It completely astounds me that they actually asked for a key to the property, citing that they typically have home owners just let them put a lock box on their door, so that they can come and go as needed if the home owner needs to be at work or otherwise out of the house. I'm fortunate to work from home, which has now turned into it's own set of challenges, but there is no way I would ever give this company a key to my house and let them have the freedom to come and go as needed. We'll see if this get's done tomorrow. They managed to sand and paint about 2/3 of the area during the 6 hours or so they were working here today, which admittedly feels accurate, but I'm not placing bets on them wrapping up everything tomorrow. *** IMPORTANT: END OF USER FEEDBACK. I looked back over her reviews and noticed many are from 3 years ago. I'm not sure what has changed in this business, but the owner had little to no customer service. The few calls I made to the shop she often seems harried and agitated. As a consumer, when you are looking at spending thousands and thousands of dollars on a project, questioning what specific fees are included and exploring flooring style and color options is paramount. We wasted 6 weeks waiting for reply's and trying to get more information. We needed to line up a few different contractors to complete the project in phases. Trying to get Woodman to agree to a timeline was nearly impossible. I tried to explain myself and talk through the project further when Karen hung up on me. Needless to say I was shocked. When a company makes you feel bad for inquiring and exploring options, showing outright irritation and impatience with you, it was definitely a red flag. Also, as we visited Intermountain Hardwood and started exploring wood suppliers in the valley we were surprised at how much more reasonable other's prices were compared to Karen's. For instance, she is charging folks $600 per block tread (for each step) versus others charging $200. Many contractors we spoke to were shocked at the mark up. Karen also, constantly calls you honey and when you question the price of something she keeps you on the line by saying "I'm sure we can work something out honey." Very grating and manipulative to be called "honey" over and over again while trying to conduct business. I would not recommend this wood supplier, their communication skills are deplorable and the product is way overpriced!

I needed some exterior remodeling. I called around. Got some referrals from a salesman at a builder…read moresupply distribution company. Who better to recommend a good, quality contractor? Interviewed a bunch of people. Got a lot of bids... Just about pulled the trigger on vinyl. Ended up with the fine folks at Home Depot. Quality products, lifetime guaranty on materials and workmanship. Big name to stand behind my investment. In the end, I was too snobbish to drape vinyl on my home. Found Elite. Very soft sale from Dave Gile. They do a lot of new construction. They've worked for every large builder in the Salt Lake Valley. Worked with me on design although all I really needed to do was look at one of their catalogs and point to a picture and say, "Make my house look like this one." I'm not too picky except when it comes to women. I had them re-roof. The previous owner had shopped roofers and had given me a name and price expectation. They had to take the roof down to the plywood. Elite came in under what I expected and did a fabulous job! All the vents on the roof were replaced. The re-wrap took some time. Mostly weather delays and I wasn't in any hurry. I made some changes because I didn't like the way the bay window turned out. Chose Hardy Board. The trim was done with a manufactured wood product. The painters were all of three days. Elite wrapped the exterior beams, did a great job with the trim work around the windows and capped the chimney with an aluminum hood. I had them replace or cover soffit and facia. Their metal guy did the work on a fancy home I built in 2002. He's a craftsman! I replaced the rain gutter. It all turned out phenomenal! I worked with their "fix-it" guy. He took care of all of the miscellaneous stuff that I wasn't 100% about. The siding guys had beat up my new shingles when they were doing the upper story. Asphalt shingles tend to become delicate in the middle of the summer. They used four bundles of shingles to replace those that were damaged. I had Elite replace the garage window. Like with anything, communication is essential. In the end, I think I chose the wrong color scheme. I would have liked the field to have better matched the used brick. Entirely my fault. This was a time I could have used some help from someone who knew what they were doing. Elite laid it in my lap which, I suppose, is where the decision for color choice should have been. I'll never make it as a designer. They started mid-spring, finished late summer. I paid them half down, another 25% at one point when they neared completion, the other 25% when they were finished. Had I been in a bigger rush, it would have been completed far sooner. Had I been a squeaky wheel, it would have been finished far sooner. If I'd been a bigger jerk, it would have been completed quickly. 45-60 days maybe? I went into this thinking it would take what it would take. I wanted them to take their time and do a good job rather than rush things and cut corners. The one thing that stands out most about my experience with Elite and the significant investment I've made in my home was Elite wanted my COMPLETE SATISFACTION as much, if not more, as they wanted payment for their services. I really felt that they were going to do whatever they needed to to make certain I was happy with my project. They demonstrated on numerous occasions their willingness to remedy anything that I wasn't happy with. My home looks new. It would fit right in if I lived at Daybreak. I've got a maintenance-free exterior that, aside from some paint in the future, should last another 38 years and beyond. Their craftsmen were craftsmen. I paid less than I could have. I am delighted and would highly recommend Elite Custom Exteriors!

I get compliments all the time on how good my cabinets look, and you would never know its not their original color. He has an excellent warantee on his work and he came back 11 months later to do some touch up work.
