So, I came across Life Style Staffing through Milwaukeejobs.com. There was a seasonal position open…read moreso I applied for it. Everything went fine, I got the job. The first issue was receiving my pay checks in a timely manner. When I asked about direct deposit I was told they were switching the system and it would take a few weeks and they would need a canceled check. Since I don't write physical checks I had to order them from my credit union and wait for them to come. The assignment was only 4 months so by the time my checks came and there system was up and running I only had 2 months left. So I opted not to do direct deposit. The first couple of weeks GB would drop our checks off in the afternoon around 1 or 2. Then it became 4:30 or 5 which was problem if I got off at 4 or 4:30. Who wants to sit around and wait 30 mins to an hour at their job after getting off, especially on a Friday!? It got to the point where I would just wait until Sat to receive my check. I never received an explanation as to why the checks couldn't be dropped off earlier. The assignment ended so I let GB know and she said she had another assignment lined up and to send her an updated copy of my resume, which I did. I only spoke to GB once after the previous assignment. I received a call from a company that I personally applied for, and they wanted me to come in for an interview. So when I was interviewing he brought up Life Style and GB, which threw me off guard since I haven't heard anything from her or anyone else from Life Style regarding any job. I got the job and of course who did I hear from, GB, she needed me to come in and sign some paperwork. After the 2 weeks of training we were put on the phones by ourselves. I expressed my reservations since I still didn't feel knowledgeable about the products. My first day by myself was horrible. I called Life Style and the first thing he said after I gave him my information, on you had an interview for another job. He just wanted me to stick it out. He told me that they wouldn't just place me somewhere else just because I didn't like it there, that's not what they do. Which I thought was dumb, since an assignment should be a good fit for me and the company. I told him I wanted to speak with GB to see if there was anything else available since this did not fit me, did I hear from her of course not. I told the supervisor how I felt and he let me off for the rest of the day. I came back the next day and finished out the week. By the end of the week I had another job lined up. I sent GB an email expressing my dissatisfaction with Life Style and of course nothing. The following week I was expecting my last check. Checked my account online and of course they didn't direct deposit it, so I called. Before calling I went to their website to see if I could sign in and of course not. I was erased just that fast. When I called to ask about my check, who answers the phone, none other than the infamous GB! When I asked about my check she simply said it will be mailed. I hung up.The supervisors and co-workers at the companies I was assigned to were great!! I would definitely go back to either company any day. This was the first staffing agency that I ever worked through and it was an awful experience with them.
