This gym is wonderful and has lots of great equipment to work out. They have tanning beds that actually work, and they have a massage table that are wonderful. They have lots of cardio machines, and the place is always clean. They have a very friendly staff that makes sure the clients are taken care of. They even offer classes which is exciting. They have personal trainers. I worked out at a gym that didn't care about their equipment, and didn't repair it when it broke. Not this gym. This gym cares about the equipment and making sure things are ran correctly. They have a great gym manager that is very friendly to others. This gym motivates me to want to push myself harder because the people are in excellent shape here. read more

Still a 0 star review. Gym should be shut down permanently. DON' T GO HERE. They don't let you cancel your membership, payment is through a third party website. They will give you the website and tell you to do it. Ive tried using the website and it won't allow a log in to even cancel the membership. I've tried to cancel my membership since May 2023. Terrible management, they handle things horribly and are so rude, you cannot get in touch with them and when you finally do it's short responses that do not resolve your issue whatsoever. You always get the runaround ("so and so will call you back later") but they never do, you will also get told a million things by different people and never get a straight answer from anyone. Would rate 0 stars if I could. I have been unable to get into this gym multiple times due to them being closed during REGULAR business hours. They never have cleaning supplies or toilet paper in their bathroom. Today was the final straw when I walked in and saw a large cockroach on their cleaning cloth table. They literally make it IMPOSSIBLE to cancel your membership. I don't understand how I've been asking for OVER A MONTH to cancel but no LOL they just keep taking money out instead. However, despite this clear instruction, I have been consistently charged monthly fees. This blatant discrepancy between Workout Anytime's advertised policies and their actual billing practices is highly concerning and misleading to customers. Adding insult to injury, when I decided to cancel my membership due to these deceptive practices, I was hit with an extra month's fee. This additional charge not only contradicts the so-called "no obligation" membership promised by Workout Anytime, but it also demonstrates a lack of integrity and a blatant disregard for their customers' rights and financial well-being. Transparency and honesty are critical in any business, especially when it comes to matters of billing and customer obligations. Unfortunately, Workout Anytime falls short on both counts. Their failure to accurately communicate membership terms has caused unnecessary financial burdens and significant frustration. I reached out to their customer service department seeking a resolution, and unfortunately, my concerns have yet to be addressed satisfactorily. I expected Workout Anytime to rectify the situation swiftly and provide the refunds I am rightfully owed. Regrettably, they have failed to meet these basic expectations. I strongly advise potential gym-goers to exercise caution before considering a membership at Workout Anytime. Upon originally adding this review I received a phone call within about 10 minutes informing me that the extra 30 day fee could be waived but they were unable to refund me for the 5 months of charges as long as I remove the review. This gym would rather cancel your membership than fix its equipment, one piece has been broken for over three weeks, along with the fact they do not care for their membership safety, as trip hazards have been brought to their attention for MONTHS, and NO REPAIRS were made, I caution anyone, FIND another gym, don't put yourself, thru what I can only describe as WOKE behavior. read more

Country & Homophobic On the Pro side, I can say that the gym is clean and bright which is what I was immediately attracted to. That's where the good stuff ends. Cons: I originally got a personal trainer there who ended up leaving, taking my notebook with him. I paid for two months and only completed one month of the two. After he left, I requested my notebook (that I had paid for btw) and all I got was shoulder shrugs. No one was terribly upset that their customer had just lost money and valuable information on my workout sessions. The gym management is homophobic. I am the president of the local PFLAG Chapter and we put up flyers in various places in town. They are not vulgar or ugly in any way. When I originally approached Jason the owner from Cleveland, he said quote, "any member can post a flyer that could be useful to the members of the gym as long as it doesn't use vulgar language and there are no vulgar images." Perfect. My flyer met those standards. And it's not as if WA isn't the gayest gym in Athens anyway. However, when I presented the flyer, suddenly there were corporate rules that had to be followed and after submitting three flyers over a course of a month and every day I walked in they acted like nothing was up and they couldn't tell me anything - always referring me to another manager (who was never there). I eventually got corporates number and called four times and stated my purpose and even emailed the flyer to the CEO's assistant twice. She even told me over the phone looking at the flyer she couldn't see any reason it couldn't be displayed. Some of these people even claim to be 'Christian'. Yeah, right. If Athens had a comparable gym I would switch tomorrow. If you decide on this gym, don't expect ANY level of honesty or integrity from management. Good luck finding anyone to help you if you have any issues at all. I was under a freeze for 3 months. I asked to be unfrozen in April so I could use the services. It was not done. In May, I asked to cancel my membership and was told I could not until June 10th due to my account being frozen. I was charged on June 10th and could not cancel. I was was given the option to cancel June 12th. At that time, I could only cancel if I paid for July. When I asked to speak to someone who could help me, I was told I would get a call. Instead I got a snarky email telling me that I had never created an account and did not proceed with the cancelation ( I all ready had an account and had explained that I had tried multiple ways to follow their instructions)I got referred to a non working website if I had anymore questions. It is impossible to find anyone to speak to at this company and they will keep squeezing you for money because they have no customer service foundation and can claim "not my problem and there is nothing you can do about it". I was from out of town - visiting family in Athens - but needed a workout to fight back the holiday cal loading - went in here and they let me workout for a few bucks with a smile & "have a good workout" - no heavy-handed sales or 20 forms to fill out - thx Workout Anytime! Anytime Fitness is such a great gym! This was my first time here and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. It is located just off the main road in a shopping center. The facility has state of the art equipment, tanning beds, a hydromassage and bathroom facilities that include showers (fully stocked with toiletries). Beware of the scam... I came in June 2021 and spoke with someone and cancelled my services because I was moving out of town. I don't pay much attention to my bank charges, and this account was on autopay. Anyway, the guy I spoke with in June told me it was fine and he was going to take care of it. Today I received a call from a collections institution asking for January's payment. I told the lady the account was supposed to be closed since June. She gave the direct number to the Athens TN location, where I got transferred to 2 different people who said I had to cancel it myself and I still had to make the January payment before I could continue without a refund. This people have been charging me for 6 months and they won't do anything about it. How am I supposed to know to go online to cancel when the guy in June told me he was going to take care of it? And I asked to speak with upper management and he said "There's no one here right now". They are really quick taking your money, but when it comes to issues, nobody around to help.
